“Granny, I think the way you’re treating mom is hurting her feelings! Even though mom is a stepmom, she’s always been really good to us! You keep doubting her intentions, I’m sure it’s making her feel bad”

“You don’t understand, grandma is thinking about you!”

“I know.” Aiden nodded, “But Granny, isn’t the most important thing that our family is happy? You fighting with mom all the time is putting dad in a tough spot too.”

Sophia suddenly laughed, “You’re still so young, how do you understand all this?”

“I just want everyone to be happy! I don’t want to see mom crying in private anymore.”

She was taken aback, and quickly spoke up, “Sophia, you haven’t gone to bed yet?”

“Uh–huh, I was waiting for you”

Clara had a bad feeling. “Is there something you need?”

“Of course there is.” Sophia glanced at the direction of the study, then turned around and sat down on the sofa in the living room.

Clara had no choice but to follow, she didn’t even dare to take a deep breath.

“Aiden came to see me today”

Clara remembered what Aiden had told her earlier, she didn’t expect the kid actually went.

“Did you tell Aiden to say those things to me?” Sophia looked at her, clearly displeased, “They’re still young, are you putting those ideas into their heads. for some reason?”

Clara immediately waved her hands, “Mom, I really didn’t teach Aiden to say anything. I’ve reduced the time I spend with Aiden and Alex, I just told them not to upset you and to try to spend more time with you.”

“Do you think I’m a child?” Sophia frowned, “Alex and Aiden might be easily fooled by you, but I won’t be.”
