With that, Leah Calloway pushed him away and stormed out of the room, Taylor Atwood stood there for a few seconds, then abruptly threw a punch at the wall.

“Emmett Melendez is such a pain in the ass!”

Frowning, Taylor pulled out his phone and dialed a familiar number.

“Mom, I need to talk to you. Now.”

Upon arriving back at the Melendez family’s mansion, Clara and Emmett walked in to find Alex tugging at Aiden to play a game while Aiden had a helpless yet obliging look on his face.

Seeing their parents, Alex shouted out in surprise and ran towards them.

“Mom!”

Clara bent down to pick up Alex.

Aiden also slowly walked over, “Hey, mom and dad”

“Good boy.”

“Mom, Grandma went to buy us snacks again! And she took us both with her!”

“You always get excited when it comes to food.” Clara pinched Alex’s nose.

Emmett picked up Aiden and asked him in a deep voice, “Did you finish your homework?”

Aiden nodded, “Yep.”

“Once we’re done with our work, we’ll take you guys on vacation abroad.”

Before Aiden could respond, Alex was already cheering.

Clara shook her head helplessly.

Her son was not so great with his studies, but he was enthusiastic about play!

“Vacation? Are you planning to take Aiden and Alex away from me?”

Suddenly, Sophia Melendez’s voice cut in.

Clara instinctively looked over, then quickly averted her gaze.

Emmett, however, was not afraid of Sophia and directly nodded, “Yes, they’re about to have a long break. It would be beneficial for them to see the world.” “I have no objections to them going abroad, but you two can’t take them alone! Your dad and I should come along too.” After Sophia finished, she gave Clara a pointed look, “Don’t get any ideas. I’m not implying anything. You two don’t really take care of them usually. You might not be able to handle it if you suddenly have to. I’ll come along and help.”

Emmett frowned and said, “But this trip is to strengthen our family relationship.”

“Am I not a part of the family?”

Clara quickly interjected to prevent them from arguing, “If Sophia wants to come, that’s great! was just thinking about how to take good care of the kids. Having their grandma with them, there would make it more fun for them.”

Sophia obviously didn’t appreciate the sentiment and let out a cold snort, “Today, I took the kids to the bakery and ran into that young girl. Even though she’s young, she’s already a mother of two, very mature and gentle! I think a woman like that is more suitable to be my Emmett’s wife.”

“It’s too late to think about that now.” Emmett retorted.

Clara stood there looking a bit awkward, “Mom, I have some work to do at the office. I’ll go to my room!”

“Go ahead! I understand if you don’t want to see the kids.”

After saying that, Sophia turned around and left, completely disregarding Clara.

Emmett clenched his fists, “Can you keep enduring this? How long will this go on?”

“If I can endure it for a while, then I will. Besides, I’m usually not at home, so it doesn’t matter.” Clara gently stroked Alex’s head, “As long as I see that the kids are safe and someone is protecting them, I’m already very satisfied.
