“At least this way, we won’t arouse any suspicion for a few hours. If we spend those hours walking, we should be able to reach the city center and find a taxi.”

Clara won’t be your mom anymore. She ran off with another man!”

“That’s impossible! How could mom run away? Didn’t she marry Dad? Did they get divorced?”

Aiden was taken aback. He tried to signal Alex to stop, but his brother was too engrossed in his own sorrow to pay attention.
