Chapter 344
Two Times The Charm Novel (Clara and Emmett)
Nestor took the empty glasses from them, wearing a smile, âThere are mosquitoes outside, so itâs probably not the best idea to hang out here. If you guys want to chat, you can take a seat in the living room. I can ask the kitchen to prepare some shacks. What do you think?â
Elio chuckled lightly and said, âNo need to bother. You should go rest too.â
Nestor replied, âBut how can I rest if you havenât? Seeing you smile again is a relief for me.â.
âDonât worry about me; Iâll head back a bit.â Elio said.
Nestor turned to Clara, âMs. Calloway, you might not know this, but when you refused to eat a few days ago, Elio didnât eat either. No matter what I said, it didnât work. It drove me mad!â
Elioâs eyes flashed with embarrassment, and he quickly interrupted Nestor. âI just lost my appetite, and itâs not because of Clara!â
Nestor chuckled, immediately understanding Elioâs point, âGotcha, I overthought. Iâll have someone bring some mosquito repellent over. Donât want you guys to get bitten.â
With that, Nestor turned and went back to the villa. Elio watched his retreating figure, then turned to Clara and said, âHeâs someone I trust dearly, been with me since I was a kid. He had to leave the Milburn family because he couldnât cope with his daughterâs death.
But he reached out to me recently, so I asked him to come take care of you. You can talk to him directly if you need anything, just like how you would to me.â
Clara nodded and said, âI understand. I donât really need anything in this villa, but for some reason, Iâve been really tired lately. I keep dozing off.â
Elioâs eyes flickered as he said, âWell, itâs easy to feel sleepy when thereâs nothing to do. You should rest more, itâs good for your health. Youâve been under a lot of stress with work. Take this opportunity to recuperate.â
Clara only moved her lips slightly without saying anything.
After a while, Nestor came with a mosquito spray, âI brought this from my hometown You canât find it here. Itâs really effective. Let me spray some for you.â
As he spoke, Nestor kindly sprayed it on both of them.
Clara sniffed, somewhat surprised, âThis spray doesnât smell like other mosquito repellents, does it?
The others are so pungent. This one actually smells like oranges, right?â
âI made it myself, so itâs one of a kind. You canât buy it anywhere else. Because other mosquito repellents smell so bad, I ground orange peel into powder and added it, Does it smell much better?â
Clara nodded, taking the spray from Nestorâs hand to have a look. Sure enough, some orange peel powder was settled at the bottom of the bottle.
Elio commented, âNestor, youâve been in the pharmaceutical industry for too long, even able to make your own mosquito spray!â
Nestor laughed in response, âI did learn a thing or two! I, an old man, wonât bother you youngsters anymore. You guys keep chatting; Iâll go tidy up the kitchen.â After Nestor left, Clara rubbed her temples, looking very tired
