“What?” Leah feigned shock, momentarily lost for words, “How did that happen? Where did they go?”

“I have no idea. They went to their rooms obediently last night, but this morning, the servants found their rooms empty when they went to wake them up…”

Leah bit her lower lip and said, “Aren’t there surveillance? Check the footage!”

“I checked. They left through the back door. I thought they might have gone to find my son, but there’s no sign of them on the Melendez Group company’s surveillance.”

“Well, start looking! I’m going out to look for them now.”

On the phone, Sophia’s voice was hoarse; clearly, she had been crying.

Leah also started crying on the phone. “Ma’am, they’re my life. We have to find them! Please!”

“You don’t have to tell me! I thought you might have some clues. If Emmett finds them, I’ll let you know.

You should do the same.”

“I understand, don’t worry. I’m going out to look for them now. We have to find them no matter what.”

After hanging up, Leah immediately dialed another number.

“Get some people to find Emmett’s sons. They’re missing!”.

“Huh? Did I hear that right? Didn’t you want them gone? Why are you looking for them now?”

“What do you know? The Melendez family needs help right now. Plus, I claim to be their biological mother. How could I not send people to look for them when something like this happens? You guys go look for them, and act like you’re worried! Got it?”

“I got it, don’t worry. I’m a pro at acting!”

“Cut the crap, just get the job done.” Leah paused, “After I marry Emmett, I won’t forget you.”

The other person laughed and said, “I know that you’ve always been good to us. I’ll handle this!”

After hanging up, Leah looked at Emmett’s photo on her desk, a small smile playing on her lips.

“Emmett, the plan has started. Are you looking forward to me being your wife?”

Emmett was busy when he saw a call from his mother. He didn’t want to answer but picked up anyway because his kids were still at home.

Hearing his mother crying, Emmett’s heart sank, and he asked, “What happened? Did something happen to the kids?”

“Did Aiden and Alex come to you?” Sophia’s voice was nearly hysterical, “They’re gone. They snuck out last night. I thought they might have gone to find you…

“To find me? They didn’t call me. Aiden has a phone, and he would have called me first if he wanted to find me, right?”

Emmett frowned, quickly checking his call history. But there were no incoming calls.
