After saying that, Emmett hung up the call and called over Matt, who was investigating nearby.

“Move it! Go find Aiden and Alex now!”

Matt was taken aback and asked, “What happened to them?”

“They’ve run away from home! They must have gone looking for me, so search carefully along that route. Don’t miss any corner; they might be resting somewhere because they’re tired!”.

Matt immediately responded, “I’m on it! Don’t worry.”

Matt immediately took a team to search for Aiden and Alex.

Emmett clenched his fist and slammed it hard against the wall behind him, blood dripping from his fingers.

He was extremely agitated. Now that Clara was missing and his two sons were also missing, he felt like such a failure!

This was the most frustrating moment in Emmett’s life!

Clara wasn’t sure where she had been taken to, but this time, it wasn’t a villa. It was a single-story house.

She went out to take a look, and it seemed like it was in the countryside because there were other houses around.

This scared Elio even more. If Clara was emotional right now, wanting to hit him or yell at him, he wouldn’t be so worried. But now, she was so calm, neither sad nor happy; this was what truly scared him!

Clara looked up at him and asked, “Why do you think people live? And why is there so much greed and selfishness?”/

“Don’t scare me. Stop talking like that, okay?”

Clara smiled faintly, “Did you know? My father called me earlier, and he said he’s going back to our country. I’ve been living in his shadow! It was Emmett who saved me; he went to great lengths to get my father out of the country so he wouldn’t bother me anymore. I was so happy!”

Elio looked at Clara and asked, “He’s back again? Don’t worry! I’ll protect you!”

“I thought I could get rid of him for the rest of my life, but he told me if I don’t agree to let him go back, he’ll tell Emmett about the two kids!”

Elio clenched his fist and said, “That’s so out of line!”

“My father doesn’t know that Emmett is the biological father of Aiden and Alex. He threatened to tell Emmett that I had two children for another man.” Elio paused for a moment and then asked, “Then why don’t you just tell him the truth?”

Clara bit her lip slightly and lowered her head. If she could, she would have done so already.

Elio said, “I can tell that Emmett has fallen in love with you. If he knew that the birth mother of the two children was actually you, wouldn’t your family be reunited? I believe he won’t blame you for anything anymore.”
