Clara frowned, “You just don’t get it! Anyway, I can’t go back with you.”

Emmett looked up at her, narrowing his eyes slightly, “What? Do you still want to be with Elio?”

“No! If I wanted to, I could’ve left the hospital when you were unconscious! Emmett, stop blaming Elio.

My decision to not go back with you has nothing to do with him.”

Emmett’s face turned pale, his lips losing their color.

He lifted his head slightly and asked, “Do you still consider yourself Mrs. Melendez of the Melendez family? Do you think I’m still going to spoil you?”

“That’s not it. Listen to me, Emmett.”

“Matt, take her away. I don’t want to hear her anymore.”

“Yes, Mr. Melendez.”

Emmett didn’t pay attention to her words; he stood up and left the hospital room.

Clara wanted to protest, but Emmett didn’t give her the chance!

“I’m sorry, Clara, please.”

Emmett took Clara away.

After hanging up the phone, Elio kept pacing around in his room, making Nestor dizzy “Elio, what the hell happened?”

“Emmett might want to take revenge on Clara!” Elio stopped pacing and looked at Nestor, “What should we do? No way!. I have to save her!”

Just as he finished his words, he reached for his car keys, but Nestor quickly stopped him, “Elio, why are you stirring up trouble with Emmett now? Clara won’t be harmed by him. At most, he will just ignore her. Emmett still cares about Clara; he knows his limits, but you’re different. You’re a dangerous rival in Emmett’s eyes! The person he wants to get rid of the most is you! Aren’t you just walking into the lion’s den?”

“You don’t understand men like Emmett with such arrogance how could he allow Clara to betray him? If it were only Emmett at home, it would be okay, but Leah is always watching her too! Clara is between a rock and a hard place, no matter what! I can’t just stand by and watch her suffer!”

“But you going there won’t change anything.” Nestor stood in front of the door, blocking his way, “Elio, I know you really like Clara, but you need to be rational! Not only can’t you save her now, but you’ll just put yourself in danger! Not only is Leah keeping an eye on Clara, but she’s also watching you! You know all about the formula and Leah kidnapping two members of the Melendez family. If you were Leah, wouldn’t you want to get rid of everyone who knows?”
