Taking a deep breath, Emmett reached out and held her hand directly. The touch sent a wave of familiarity through Clara Since seeing Aiden and discovering the truth, she realized she had experienced this touch before–it felt so familiar.

“Now, do you feel like my wife? Emmett questioned, their hands still entwined.

Clara gazed at their joined hands, lost for words. Suddenly, Emmett leaned down and kissed her lips–a moment that consumed Clara’s thoughts.

After a brief pause, Emmett stepped back slightly. “And now?”

Shocked, Clara quickly covered her mouth, her eyes fixed on Emmett.

He chuckled. “Do I need to kiss you every day for you to grasp the feeling?”

Clara quickly shook her head, “No, no need…”

‘Let’s go then! My mother should be here already, and my son.”

As soon as Clara heard she could see Aiden, she quickly nodded, “Okay! Let’s go!”

Emmett frowned, “Why are you in such a hurry all of a sudden?”

“Well… I want to see what Mr. Melendez’s son looks like! I’m curious!”

“He doesn’t look much like me.”

“Okay”

Emmett looked at her, “He does look a lot like you, though.”

Hearing this, Clara felt even more anxious!

“Like me? How is that possible!”

“You just look a bit pfmilar” Emmett took her hand again, “Let’s go, don’t make them wait too long”

Clara looked at Emmett’s back and took a deep breath.

Why did she feel like she couldn’t keep this secret for long!
