The next day, the preparations for the mehndi and sangeet had started. The sofa was set up in the garden for the bride and groom. All the servants were working and Kashi was standing in the balcony and looking at them.
After that Kashi came inside. Her pista green color suit was kept there. She sat down and then started to touch it and feel the suit.
" Not at all. I hate mehndi and I will not apply mehndi at any cost." said Shivansh while typing on his laptop. " Come on Shiv. This is the ritual. As the brides apply mehndi then the groom also does. You father and grandfather also did it." said Akshita.
Shivansh moved his head up and then looked at his mother. " I. Hate. Mehndi." said Shivansh, " Come on Shiv. As the bride writes the name of her husband in her hand you should also do it. " said Akshita.
Shiansh gave her a look. " Okay. If you don't want then I will not force you but just write her name on your palm." said Akshita. Shivansh nodded. " So you will not leave me." said Shivansh. Akshita nodded.
After some time, everyone was ready for the mehndi and sangeet. Shivansh was standing in front of the mirror and putting the buttons of his kurta. He twirled his moustaches and then headed towards the gate.
Shivansh came to Dada Hukum. He touched his feet and took their blessings. " Stay happy my child. " said Dada Hukum. Shivansh looked at his grandparents. " I am so happy that finally you are getting married. " said Dada Hukum.
Shivansh smiled. " Come, Kashi is already waiting for you in the garden. " said Dada Hukum. After that they walked towards the garden where all the close family members were gathered there.
Shivansh saw Kashi sitting on the chair while two people were applying mehndi on her palms.
She was in a pista green Indian suit. Her white jhumkas and mangtika looked very beautiful on that suit. Shivansh smiled and then walked towards Kashi and sat down with her
Kashi looked at him and smiled. " Looks nice." said Shivansh. Kashi smiled. " Hukum sa, we have to apply mehndi in your hand. " said the girl who was applying the mehndi on the hands of Kashi.
Shivansh looked at him. " No. Nothing except her name." replied Shivansh. Kashi looked at him for a second and then looked at the stage. The performances had started. Prisha and Yuhan were already on the dance floor.
Everyone was looking at them only. Some were clapping while some were hooting. Some of the princesses of Rajasthan who were there, were standing and looking at Shivansh because he was too handsome.
Kashi was able to see it and trying to ignore it but she wasn't able to. On the other hand, Shivansh's focus was the name of Kashi that was written on his palm. Shivansh looked at Kashi's palm.
That was full of mehndi. " Where is my name?" asked Shivansh. Manvi looked at him. " You have to find it, Shivansh ji." said Kashi. Shivansh looked carefully and found his name on Kashi's right palm.
" There is it." said Shivansh. Kashi smiled. " You found it. " said Kashi. Shivansh also smiled. When Yuhan came to them. " Come on Shiv, Kashi." said Yuhan, " No, no." said Kashi, " Come on Kashi." said Shivansh.
Kashi agreed when Shivansh asked her. They both got up and then headed towards the dance floor. The song started to play. Manvi and Shivansh were in the middle while they were surrounded by Dada Hukum, Bhairav, Akshita, Anita, Prisha and Yuhan.
Digvijay ji was sitting on the sofa and smiling. " My Kashi got what she deserved. " said Digvijay ji. Digvijay ji looked at the sky. " Abhinav, finally I have completed your wish." said Digvijay ji and then smiled.
Kashi and Shivansh came to the swing that was set up for them. " You sit, I will push." said Shivansh. Kashi smiled. Shivansh held the swing so that Kashi could sit on it.
Shivansh went behind the swing to push it. As soon as Kashi sat down on the swing, the swing broken and she fell down. Before the chain could hit the head of Kashi, Shivansh held it. " Kashi. " everyone shouted and then ran towards her.
Prisha sat near Kashi. " You okay?" asked Prisha, " I think my feet." said Kashi while pointing at her feet. Prisha touched her right feet and Kashi screamed. " Ouch. It's hurting. " said Kashi, " Looks like you sprained your ankle." said Akshita.
Bhairav looked at Shivansh. " Shiv, pick her. We have to take her inside." said Bhairav. Shivansh bent and then picked Kashi in his arms. He walked inside. Dada Hukum looked at everyone. " The party is over. " said Dada Hukum.
In Kashi's room, Shivansh came inside and then kept Kashi on the bed. He sat down on the bed. " Let me see what is it?" said Shivansh said while holding Kashi's feet. But Kashi pulled them back.
" What?" he asked, " Husband's don't touch the feet of their wife." said Kashi, " Shut up." said Shivansh and held Kashi's feet and then had a look at it. " Where is the ointment?" asked Shivansh, " Here." said Manvi while giving the ointment to him.
He kept his feet on his chest and started to apply the ointment. Kashi felt ticklish when he was applying the ointment suddenly Kashi kicked Shivansh. He fell down from the bed. They both were looking at each other in shock.
When they heard the laughing sound of Yuhan. They both looked at him.
" Shiv, abhi toh Kashi teri biwi bhi nahi bani hai aur tujhe laat maar di hai. Shaadi ke baad kya hoga soch."
" Shiv, Kashi hasn't even become your wife yet and she has kicked you. Think about what will happen after marriage. "
Kashi looked at Yuhan. " No Bhaiya, it is nothing like that. I was feeling ticklish that's why I kicked him." said Kashi. Yuhan started to laugh more. Shivansh got up while cleaning his chest.
" Don't laugh. And Kashi, your feet would be fine till morning." said Shivansh and then walked out of the room. Kashi was feeling a little bad because of hitting Shivansh like that.
At midnight, Shivansh's phone rang. He saw an unknown number. " Hello. Who is this?" asked Shivansh in a professional tone. " Amm, Shivansh ji." said Kashi. When Shivansh heard the voice of Kashi, his expressions changed.
" Kashi, why are you calling me so late?" asked Shivansh, " Sorry." said Kashi, " No need for sorry." said Shivansh, " No for hitting you. I shouldn't have done it." said Kashi. Shivansh chuckled.
" It's okay. I am fine. " said Shivansh, " Okay." said Kashi and then cut the call. Shivansh picked the phone and then saved the number of Kashi as ' Hukum Rani Sa'. He didn't know that he had a smile on his face.
The next day, at Shivansh's palace, everyone was ready for the haldi for Shivansh. Only the family memebers were there for the haldiu ceremony. Bhairav was standiung with a broken button in his hand.
" Akshu, the button broke. Help me. " said Bhairav with a puppy face. Akshita came out while wearing her earring. " Who will say that you are the Hukum sa?" said Akshita.
Bhairav moved his hand around Akshita's waist and pulled her closer. " I don't care about what the other's say." said Bhairav, " Bhairav ji, move away and get the stichting box." said Akshita. He left the button on the bed and then went to get box.
Akshita picked the button. Then she picked the needle and thread. " Come here." said Akshita. Akshita and Bhairav stood close to each other while Akshita was focused on stitching the button.
" Akshu, I am saying. You don't look like you are going to be a mother-in-law. You look like a newly wed bride. Let's have another suhagarat tonight. " said Bhairav. Akshita pinched the needle in the chest of Bhairav.
" Ouch Akshu." said Bhairav, " This is for troubling me." said Akshita. Both of them then laughed. " Maa, Baba, are you both done with your romance?" asked Shivansh. Akshita and Bhairav looked at him.
Shivansh was standing there in his yellow kurta and white lower.
" Yeah coming. " said Bhairav. After that they walked towards the hall where Dada Hukum, Anita and Yuhan stood. Naina was standing there with her arms crossed and she had anger in her face. " What happened, Nainu?" asked Bhairav.
Naina made a face. She looked at her father in anger. " Papa, you didn't even tell me that Bhai sa is getting married. Ritika called me and told me that Bhai sa is getting married. This is very bad." said Naina.
Dada Hukum laughed. " Nainu, we thought that your exams are going on so that's why we didn't tell you." said Dada Hukum, " I don't care. I am free for my Bhai sa's wedding." said Naina, " Now let's go. We are getting late for the haldi ceremony." said Akshita.
Everyone nodded. Shivansh sat down on the chair that was kept for him. The haldi bowl was kept near him.
Dada Hukum came and then applied haldi on Shivansh's cheeks, arms and feet. Bhairav, Akshita, Anita, Naina and Yuhan applied haldi like Dada Hukum did. Dada Hukum looked at Ritika and Jai.
" Why are you both standing there? Come and apply the haldi on Shiv. " said Dada Hukum, " Dada Hukum, we are just mere servants. " said Ritika.
Naina looked at Ritika. " Shut up Riti. You both are a part of this family only. Come on now." said Naina. Ritika and Jai also came to Shivansh. After that they applied the haldi on Shivansh.
Shivansh was fully covered with haldi. Akshita looked at Anita. " Anu, we have to take his haldi to Kashi. She must be waiting for us." said Akshita, " Sure, Naina, you being the sister, you should remove the haldi from Shivansh and collect it in a bowl." said Anita.
Naina sat down near Shivansh and then started to remove the haldi from the skin of Shivansh. In Indian wedding traditions, the ceremony of sending the groom's haldi to the bride holds significant cultural and symbolic meaning.
One of the primary reasons for this practice is to symbolize the union of two families. By sharing the same haldi, the families demonstrate their mutual blessings and support for the marriage, highlighting the importance of familial unity and the merging of two households into one.
Moreover, haldi is considered highly auspicious in Indian culture. It is believed to bring good fortune, ward off evil, and provide protection to the couple.
By applying the same haldi to both the bride and groom, the families are invoking blessings and positive energies to ensure a prosperous and harmonious marital life. This act of sharing haldi is a way to distribute these auspicious qualities equally between the bride and groom.
Another reason for sending the groom's haldi to the bride is to foster mutual respect and acceptance between the two families.
This ritual strengthens the bond between them, emphasizing that they are now connected through their children's marriage. It also reflects the cultural emphasis on ensuring compatibility and harmony between the bride and groom.
By participating in this shared ritual, the families affirm their commitment to supporting and nurturing the couple's relationship.
As Naina was done collecting the haldi she got up holding the bowl. " Done. " said Naina, " So let's go to apply the haldi to the bride." said Akshita. Anita held the hand of Naina and helped her in getting up.
All the ladies of the family sat inside the car and then left for the farmhouse. In the farmhouse Kashi was sitting on the sofa waiting for Shivansh's haldi to come so that it would be mixed in the haldi that was made for her.
Soon the ladies of the family came there. Digvijay ji and Prisha looked at them. Akshita, Madhu and Anita came down and then walked towards Kashi. Prisha picked the haldi that was made for Kashi.
Naina and Prisha mixed the haldi. Then Prisha came to Kashi. First Akshita dipped her hands in the haldi and then applied it on the cheeks of Kashi. Kashi smiled.
Then Anita came and then applied the haldi. " Welcome to the family. " said Anita. Kashi smiled. Anita and Naina also applied the haldi. After that Digvijay ji and Prisha applied the haldi on Kashi.
Akshita looked at Kashi. " Kashi, this is Naina, your sister-in-law. " said Akshita, " Hello Naina." said Kashi, " Bhabhi sa, you are very beautiful. Just like I saw in the photo." said Naina while blessings Kashi.
Kashi smiled. Akshita looked at Kashi. " Kashi, your lehenga would be sent by us." said Akshita. " Sure Maa sa." said Kashi. After that Akshita, Anita and Naina left for the palace. Prisha looked at Kashi. " Come, let's go and get yourself cleaned." said Prisha.
Kashi and Prisha came to Kashi's room. Kashi went to the washroom while cleaning the haldi that had dried up on her face and other parts of skin. After coming out, Prisha went to the washroom.
