The next day, today Akshita was sitting in the hall with Bhairav and her father-in-law Dada Hukum and sister-in-law Anita were sitting. Today the royal pandit had come to the palace to read the horoscope of Shivansh.
Akshita looked at the pandit. " Pandit ji, what is written in the life of my son?" asked Akshita. The pandit ji looked at her. " Maharani sa, Hukum sa's horoscope says that this year will be very difficult for him if he doesn't get married before the end of the next month month." said the pandit ji.
With this everyone was shocked, Dada Hukum looked at Akshita. " Akshu, we need to find a perfect match for Shivansh as soon as possible." said Dada Hukum, " Ji Papa." said Akshita.
Shivansh's family gave some money to the pandit ji and he left. Bhairav looked at Akshita. " Akshu, I know that you care for Shiv but will he agree to marry right now?" asked Bhairav. Akshita looked at him.
" Bhairav ji, please. I really care for my son. Shiv is my only son and I will make sure that he is married before Mahashivrati that is in the end of this month. I swear on my Mahadev." said Akshita.
Dada Hukum got up and then came to Akshita. " Akshu, I am with you. We both will find the best bride and the future Hukum Rani sa of Rajasthan." said Dada Hukum. Akshita nodded.
Anita looked at everyone. " I think that the girl who is made for our Shivansh will surely come in front of him on it's own." said Anita, " Yeah, you are right about that, Anu." said Bhairav. Shivansh came down.
He looked at everyone. " What is going on?" asked Shivansh, " Nothing." they said together. Shivansh felt a little weird but then ignored it. After that they all sat down on the breakfast table to had the food.
After that Shivansh left for the office as he was getting late. Akshita looked at Anita. " Anu, let's start finding the best match for my Shivansh." said Akshita, " Okay Bhabhi sa." said Anita and then sat down.
Banaras, the Kashyap house was getting full of guests to attend the engagement of Kashi and Aman.
In her room, Kashi sat in front of a large mirror, dressed in a stunning blue lehenga. Her jhumkas sparkled, complementing her radiant smile. Prisha was beside her, making final adjustments to her hair and jewelry.
Prisha looked at Kashi. " Kashi, I am so happy that you are getting married but just remember that I am always there for you." said Prisha. Kashi held her hand. " I know that you are always there for me." said Kashi.
The two friends shared a heartfelt hug, their bond unbreakable despite the whirlwind of events around them. Manisha entered the room, her expression stern. "Kashi, it's time. Come downstairs. The guests are waiting." said
Kashi took a deep breath, her heart pounding with nervousness. She stood up, adjusting her lehenga one last time. "Let's go, Prisha," she said, taking her friend's hand.
As they descended the stairs, the room fell silent, all eyes turning to the beautiful bride-to-be. Kashi scanned the crowd, searching for Aman, the man she was supposed to get engaged to. Her eyes landed on a familiar face, and she froze in shock.
Standing where Aman should have been was Yuvraj, his smug smile sending a shiver down her spine. Kashi's mind raced, trying to make sense of what was happening. She glanced at Prisha, who looked equally stunned.
Prisha leaned in and whispered urgently, "Kashi, this isn't right. We need to stop this." said Prisha. Before Kashi could respond, Manisha stepped forward, her voice carrying authority. "Come on, Kashi. It's time to exchange the rings." said Manisha.
Prisha couldn't hold back any longer. She stepped in front of Kashi, facing Manisha. "Aunty, this isn't Aman. This is Yuvraj. We can't let this happen!" said Prisha.
Manisha's eyes narrowed, and her expression hardened. "Prisha, this is not your place to speak. You are an orphan. How dare you interfere in our family's decisions?" said Manisha.
Prisha's face paled at the harsh words, but she stood her ground. "I don't care what you think of me. This is about Kashi's future. She deserves to know the truth." said Prisha.
Manisha's voice rose, cutting through the murmurs of the crowd. "Enough! This engagement will proceed as planned. Kashi, come here." said Manisha.
Kashi felt tears welling up in her eyes, torn between the weight of her family's expectations and the unsettling presence of Yuvraj. She took a hesitant step forward, her mind a whirlwind of confusion and fear.
Yuvraj stepped closer, his smile widening. "Kashi, it's meant to be. You and me, forever." said Yuvraj. Prisha grabbed Kashi's arm, her voice desperate. "Kashi, you don't have to do this. We can leave right now." said Prisha.
Manisha's anger flared, and she moved towards Prisha, ready to push her away. "Get out, Prisha. You've caused enough trouble." said Manisha. At that moment, Kashi found her voice. "Stop! Everyone, stop!" said Kashi.
The room fell silent, all eyes on Kashi. She took a deep breath, summoning every ounce of courage. " I will get engaged to Yuvraj. " said Kashi, " But Kashi." said Prisha, " Sorry Prisha but I have to do it for my family." said Kashi.
Kashi came to the stage, her steps hesitant yet resolute. The murmurs of the crowd quieted as everyone watched with bated breath. Yuvraj's smile widened, his confidence unmistakable. Prisha stood there, stunned and hurt, unable to believe what was unfolding before her eyes.
Manisha handed the rings to Kashi and Yuvraj, her face a mask of satisfaction. "Let's proceed." she said, her voice carrying the authority that left no room for dissent.
Yuvraj took the ring and gently held Kashi's hand. "Kashi. This is the beginning of our forever." he said, his voice dripping with false sincerity
Kashi forced a smile, trying to keep her emotions in check. She felt the weight of the ring as Yuvraj slipped it onto her finger. Every fiber of her being screamed to stop, but she couldn't bring herself to voice her true feelings.
Yuvraj's family, the Agarwal's, erupted in applause, their faces beaming with pride and joy. Mr. Agarwal, Yuvraj's father, stepped forward.
"We are so delighted to welcome Kashi into our family. This union marks the strengthening of our families' bonds and the beginning of a prosperous future together." he said, his voice booming with happiness.
Kashi picked up the ring with trembling hands, her heart pounding in her chest. She looked at Prisha, who stood at the edge of the stage, tears streaming down her face. Prisha gave her a small, encouraging nod, though her eyes were filled with sorrow.
"Kashi, you are the light of my life. I promise to always cherish and protect you." Yuvraj said, his voice echoing through the hall.
Kashi took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. She looked into Yuvraj's eyes, seeing the calculated determination behind his smile. With a final, resigned sigh, she slipped the ring onto his finger.
The crowd erupted in cheers, and the music started playing, signaling the beginning of the celebration. The engagement ceremony was complete, and the Agarwal family couldn't have been happier. They showered Kashi and Yuvraj with blessings and congratulations.
Mr. Agarwal approached Manisha, shaking her hand warmly. "This is a wonderful day, Manisha. Our families will thrive together." said Mr Agarwal.
Manisha smiled, her eyes glinting with satisfaction. "Yes, it is a joyous occasion. Kashi and Yuvraj will bring great honor to both our families." said Manisha.
Kashi stood there, feeling numb. She plastered a smile on her face, accepting the well-wishes and blessings from the guests. Her mind, however, was elsewhere, lost in the whirlwind of emotions and doubts.
As the evening wore on, the festivities continued. The Agarwal family, in particular, seemed to be in high spirits, celebrating the engagement with great enthusiasm. They danced, laughed, and chatted, their joy evident in every gesture.
Prisha watched from a distance, her heart heavy. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong. She wanted to rush to Kashi, to take her away from this forced engagement, but she knew it was not her place to intervene anymore.
Yuvraj, basking in the attention and adoration, held Kashi close. "I knew this day would come. We are meant to be together, Kashi." he whispered into her ear, his tone possessive.
Kashi forced a smile, nodding slightly. She felt trapped, suffocated by the expectations and obligations that had led to this moment. She glanced around the room, seeing the happy faces of her family and the Agarwals, feeling the weight of their collective hopes and dreams on her shoulders.
