Chapter 1031

Nell had been in the entertainment industry for many years and she was good at evaluating all kinds of performances.

Thus, she knew the ropes although the performance had just started.

After all, it was a blockbuster that only performed once in a few years.

Not only the actors were highly skilled but the decoration of the entire stage and the props were nicely done.

A huge rock fell from the sky and the actors next to it were frightened at first but then they gradually became curious about it. Along with calm music, they surrounded and circled the rock, just like cavemen from ancient times.

Not long after, the weather changed rapidly and flashes of thunderstorm lightning struck down.

Everybody panicked and went looking for places to shelter them from the rain.

In the meantime, on the stage curtain behind, a tornado appeared.

A few of the actors were blown away by the tornado. The yellowish sand was stirred up, covering the sky, and the scene in front could not be seen clearly.

When everybody was suffering in harsh conditions, a loud “bang” was heard. A voice came from the huge rock that stood like a giant at the same spot and it cracked open.

The weather got better as the rock split open.

Then, under everyone’s shocking glance, a picturesque woman walked out from the middle.

The woman wore a colorful brocade and she had a slim figure and a beautiful face. When she walked out of the rock, it was like she strolled above the clouds. Her entire body emitted divine radiance.

Everybody looked at her and then they looked at the sky that suddenly brightened up, like they understood something. The people dashed toward her immediately, knelt, and worshipped her.

The woman smiled faintly and she pinched her finger a little. In an instance, the land was covered with greenish grass.

Everyone cheered, followed with further begging. She turned the deserts into mountains and rivers, and wilted leaves became houses. After that, she danced gracefully at the middle of the stage and finally, she turned her entire self into a mountain spring, for the lives of the future generation to depend on.

All the folks knelt and prayed to her with appreciation. Later on, some people started to build the Fairy Palace and the Fairy became their deepest belief.

Nell sat in the audience. Although she knew that it was probably fake, she felt touched just by watching it.

To be honest, this was not a new story, just like what they said before. In this world, every different place had its own belief.

Behind every belief, it carried a similar story. It was nothing more than the fact that when the folks were in deep agony, someone descended from the sky and saved them.

Soon, the people built temples and palaces for them as well as worshipped them for generations.

Maybe it was because of the dancers’ splendid acting skills or it might be the soothing and melodious music, which again cracked open her heart.

After Nell had watched the performance, she did not reject the Fairy Palace like before.

Conversely, she developed a different opinion on the story.

However, she thought back. Sometimes, the story itself was not wrong.

It was those scums who used the story, the gratitude and kindness in people’s hearts to make money and did bad things.

She felt a lot more relieved after she thought of it.

The show ended and it was resounded with thunderous applause.

All the actors held hands and stepped forward on the stage to express their thanks.

Lizzy could not stop clapping her hands at the side.

Nell turned and looked at her, and then she smiled. “How was it? Was it good?”

Lizzy nodded. “It was great.”

Cathy smiled too. “The last time I watched was three years ago. I still feel touched after watching it again.”

Nell nodded. “It’s not bad.”

On the contrary, Gideon did not show a lot of emotion.

They got up and prepared to leave along with the audience after they finished the show.

Perhaps there were many people and it was too crowded, as Lizzy was walking down the steps, she could not stand firmly. Suddenly, she staggered and screamed.

Nell was shocked and she subconsciously gave Lizzy a hand.

However, at the same time, another person stretched out his hand and held her firmly.

Nell raised her head and she ran into a pair of deep and warm eyes.

“Thank you, uncle.”

Lizzy thanked him immediately after she had stood still.

Nell smiled and said, “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.”

He replied softly, then he glanced at them and laughed. “There are a lot of people here, you kids must watch out. It’ll be messy if you fall.”

Nell nodded and she quickly held Lizzy’s hand in her palm.

The man saw it and he did not say anything more. The group of people continued to walk out.

Soon, they got outside.

Gideon walked behind as he was carrying Little Viemond and he had overlooked the scene earlier.

Nevertheless, the scene happened in a flash, just for a few seconds.

After they came out, he saw Lizzy was scanning here and there as if she was finding someone, so he got curious and asked, “What are you looking for?”

“I’m searching for an uncle. Daddy, I almost fell just now and an uncle helped me. I want to say thank you again.”

Nell explained with a smile, “There’s a guy who helped her just now, but he already left. Who else are you looking for? How can you find him?”

Lizzy searched for a long time, but still, she did not find that man.

She was a little disappointed.

Lizzy lowered her tiny head and pouted in dissatisfaction. “I felt like the uncle just now was a good person. I just wanted to thank him again.”

Nell laughed inadvertently.

It was not because of some other intentions that Lizzy had. After all, she was still young and would always be a kid, no matter how mature she was.

It was because Lizzy was influenced by Nell and it was in her genes that somehow she favored good looking people. That was why she was like that.

Nell comforted her softly. “Well, since we can’t find him, let’s just stop searching for him. It’s late. Let’s go home.”

Lizzy nodded.

The entire family got in the car and headed home.

This time, the sky was dark.

However, the night was cold and it was a dry type of cold.

Nell tidied up Little Viemond's shirt, then they sat in the car, looking at the lively night through the window and felt happy.
