Sean thought for a moment and shook his head.

Gideon pondered and suggested, “In that case, why don’t we change the place? Back in my home country, there’s a villa with very similar geographical conditions.”

“No, I’m not going there.”

Gideon was puzzled.

Nell asked, “Why not?”

Spencer looked upset. Sean seemed to recall something and offered a suggestion. “Going back to your home country is out of the question. How about this? You take this thing with you. Once you’re done with your research, you bring it back to us.”

Spencer’s eyes lit up.

“That’s possible.”

At the next second, however, he paused and turned to regard Nell and Gideon.

“But do you trust me with it? It’s widely known that this thing is a treasure and priceless. I don’t know how you obtained it, but I dare say that hardly any of such things remain in this world. If I take it with me and don’t bring it back, you’ll suffer a great loss.”

Nell gave it a thought and smiled. “No worries, since we’ve decided to seek your help, we must trust you, Mr. Nolan.”

Spencer beamed with delight.

A decision had been made and there was nothing else to say.
