Chapter 171
Spoiled by the President
Truth be told, Nell was afraid of shutting her eyes when she was conscious.
After all, after experiencing that kind of pain in her past life, her subconscious caused her to leave a bit of doubt at everything around her.
She was fine when she could see but when she was conscious with her eyes closed unknowing of the happening around her, the fear that buried deep in her memories would crawl out immediately.
Therefore, closing her eyes in front of him and entrusting herself to him wholeheartedly showed her great determination and resolution.
Her man noticed her fingers were shaking, he pulled her hands closer to his body, âIs it cold?â
She shook her head.
She puckered her lips and gulped nervously. In the end, she could not help but ask nervously, âWill you let go of my hand?â
âNever.â The manâs voice sounded strong and it put her at rest.
As long as she was with him, she was not as scared.
Soon, a whirling wind blew stronger and the chuffs sounded closer. She knew it was the helicopter landing.
All of a sudden, she lost her balance as something lifted her from the group. She cried out in shock.
When she reacted to the situation, she realized her man had carried her in his arms.
She did not open her eyes but she clung on tightly on her manâs collar. Her face looked rather pale.
Gideon asked deeply, âAre you still scared?â
Nell was stunned. She realized that Gideon captured the fear that was overflowing from her heart in his sight.
She curled her petite body in her manâs arms, his assuring and strong scent at the tip of her nose put her at ease.
She found out she was not as scared as before.
Nell smiled and shook her head.
Her man softly kissed her on the lips and said softly, âTrust me.â
âMhmm.â
Her man then carried her forward.
She could feel him carrying her into the helicopter and suddenly everything became quiet except for the whirling chuffs from the rotor.
He sat down after they boarded but he did not put her down, instead he sat her down on his lap.
Nell felt embarrassed, she wanted to open her eyes but just when her beautiful lashes moved, she heard her manâs stern voice.
âDonât move.â
She was petrified instantly and dared not even move her eyelids. The curiosity in her heart grew stronger.
âWhere is he taking me?â
No one was able to provide an answer even after the helicopter flew off.
She could feel the loss of gravity when the helicopter lifted off but because her man was carrying her in his arms, she was not scared.
It was quiet except for the constant chuffs from the rotor but she was able to pick up some occasional footsteps.
The helicopter then flew away steadily.
Nell was clueless where Gideon was taking her, all she could do was close her eyes and wait patiently.
Truth be told, she was actually a little excited, she was looking forward to the big surprise deep in her heart.
She had no idea what would happen next and what kind of surprise was in store for her.
Around 10 minutes later, the helicopter finally landed.
The journey was not long by all means but because she closed her eyes, she felt like a significant amount of time had passed.
He carried her from the helicopter.
Nell felt a cold breeze at her face but it disappeared soon after. What replaced the cold breeze was a warm and refreshing fragrance.
âWhat is this place?â
She was as curious as a cat but without Gideonâs permission, she could not open her eyes.
Even though she was dying to know where she was, she decided to play along. Otherwise if her man got mad, everything would go to waste.
Gideon put her down on her feet. He went to the side to do something but did not let go of her hand at all. Nell could tell he took around two steps to the side.
Then, she heard his low and charming voice.
âOkay, you can open your eyes now.â
Nell opened her eyes right away but what she saw was total darkness.
There was nothing special like what she anticipated. Since the lights were not switched on, she had no clue where she was.
Fortunately, in front of her was a piece of glass and when she looked up, she could see the stars scattered across the night sky, which cast a dim light at her.
However, the light from the stars could only light up so much, she still could not figure out her surroundings.
Nell was slightly disappointed.
âWhere are we...â
Before she could finish, she heard a loud clap.
The lights were instantly switched on. They were not the blinding LED white lights but the soft, starry blue lights that lit up the darkness with its calm color.
The lights extended forward and beyond her sight.
She felt like she was standing in the night sky and the milky way was underneath her feet. Around her was boundless darkness but a path of light guided her in the darkness, leading her forward.
Nell was astonished, she sized up the lights in front of her dully.
She looked up and saw the deep gaze of her man, which was somehow brighter than the stars.
Nell shuddered. Gideon held her hand tightly and smiled, he then brought her forward.
Spoiled by the President ï¤Chapter 170 Decorated By His Hands The path was lit up by artificial âstarsâ. The sparkles extended beyond their feet but it was not bright enough to light up the surroundings.
It felt like it was a starry path floating in the night sky. The dim light from the âstarsâ vaguely revealed the shapes of mountains and valleys under their feet, easily increasing the adrenaline level.
Nell was awestruck.
She widened her eyes and sized up everything curiously.
Gideon, who was beside her, was a lot calmer. He held her hand tightly and led her to the end of the starry path.
âGideon, where are we? Itâs so beautiful here!â
Her man smiled. âWhy donât you take a guess?â
Nell spaced out as she tried to figure out where they were. She did not remember seeing such a beautiful place in the town that they were staying in.
Gideon smiled and softly flicked her tall nose. He did not tell her the truth and remained mysterious about where they were.
âYou will know soon.â
âOkay fine! It seems like heâs going to keep this surprise until the end of the day!â
Nell did not ask anymore. The two of them walked for almost five minutes before the starry path beneath their feet disappeared.
It was dark and quiet again.
Nervous, Nell subconsciously clung onto her manâs sleeves.
Gideon pulled her into his arms and said softly, âYou donât need to be afraid.â
A little pause later, he said, âClose your eyes and open when I count to three. Okay?â
Nell looked at him curiously. Even though there was no light around, she could feel her manâs warm and steady gaze.
