Chapter 174
Spoiled by the President
She held the glass in her hand, taking sip after sip. Gideon also poured himself a glass.
He held her hand and sat down on the couch.
The night on top of the mountain was quiet. The two of them hugged each other on the couch in the transparent house, drinking their wine as they enjoyed the moment.
The stars flickered in the sky, the lights from the myriad of households shone, it was a heartwarming scene to look at.
Nell thought she had quite the tolerance for alcohol, so she did not hold back with the wine. To her surprise, before she could even finish her glass, she started to feel dizzy.
She dizzily leaned on Gideonâs shoulder, asking, âGideon, I feel dizzy.â
Gideon looked at her deeply.
The bottle of wine was taken from the Davis Familyâs wine cellar, it was one of the best they had. It tasted delicious but the after-effect was strong.
It was the reason why he only allowed her to have one glass.
He saw the flush on her womanâs face and the lazy and blurry cat eyes, he knew she had a little more than enough.
Gideon put the glasses on the tea table and said, âLetâs go have a bath.â
He then carried her in his arms.
Nell was dizzy but not drunk, she was still conscious when he carried her.
âBath? What bath? I thought we were on top of a mountain?â
He did not answer her. A moment later, he brought her to a bathroom.
The bathroom was not huge but by no means small either. In the center of the bathroom was a big bathtub, surrounded by walls that reflected the glistening water inside it. It felt dreamy at first glance.
Gideon helped her adjust the water temperature before putting her into the bathtub.
âYou gonna wash yourself up? Or do you need me to do it for you?â
Nell had goosebumps all over her body when she soaked herself into the warm water, it cleared up her mind a little.
When she realized where she was, her cheeks were beet red, she put her hands in front of her chest and shook her head.
âI-Iâll wash myself up.â
Gideon smiled. He let her have her way and walked out.
Time flew by.
Gideon waited for her outside for a long while but Nell had not come out.
He took a sip of wine and then looked at the time.
It has already been 40 minutes since then.
Even though there was a newly built water-heater system on the mountain, the weather was cold and the water-heater system was a last-minute addition, so it might not be able to deliver hot water to the bathtub endlessly.
âThe water should be cold after 40 minutes.â
Gideon frowned. Even though the house was equipped with a heater, the difference in the temperature between day and night was huge. It was still chilly at night.
He stood up and went to knock on the bathroom door.
âNelly, are you done?â
To his surprise, he did not get an answer.
He frowned harder. He tried opening the door but it was locked from the inside.
âThis woman! Isnât she a little too cautious?!â
Gideon did not know whether to cry or to laugh. They were the only ones in the house on top of the mountain, if he really wanted to force his way to her, a mere lock would never stand in his way.
He helplessly shook his head. He had to go search for the key to open the door.
âNelly, are you done? Iâm coming in.â
There was still no reply from inside.
He had a feeling that something was wrong, so he quickly opened the door.
When he went in, the mist in the bathroom had cleared up. Nell was soaking herself in the bathtub with her eyes closed. She was not moving a muscle, it seemed like she was fast asleep.
He was speechless when he saw the scene. He quickly went over and tested the temperature of the water.
âItâs cold...â
His face instantly turned gloomier.
...
Nell was carried out of the bathroom.
She moaned unconsciously in the process and burrowed herself deeper into her manâs arms, âCold.â
Gideon was beyond gloomy at that point.
He held his anger back while drying her up. Then he carried her out of the bathroom and tossed her on the bed.
Gideon was rather rough with putting her down since he was grumpy and Nell woke up from the little commotion. She opened up her blurry eyes and looked at him.
âGideon, whatâs wrong?â
Her man looked at her with a gloomy look yet his deep, dark eyes were burning fiercely.
She then finally realized something was not right.
âWhy is it a little chilly? My feet feel cold.â
She looked down at her body and her eyes widened in shock.
Nell squealed like a scared little girl and burrowed herself under the sheets.
âAh! Whatâs wrong with me?!â
Gideon grinned and said, âWhat do you think?â
âI...â
It was then she remembered she fell asleep in the bathtub.
âDid he carry me out? Does it mean he saw my entire body?â
The thought of it made her cheeks as red as a beet, she curled up like a cooked shrimp under the sheets, exposing only the top of her head.
âI-I want to get dressed. P-Please go out!â
However, her man did not plan to do as told this time.
He started to unbutton his shirt and ridiculed with a lousy tone, âItâs the middle of the night and you want me to wait for you to get dressed outside?
Where the temperature falls below negative?â
âUh...â
Nell was shocked. Was it that cold outside?
Derma Town had an average temperature of 20 plus degrees Celsius during the day but at night, the outdoor temperature would plummet below negative. The difference in temperature was drastic.
Just when she started to space out, she suddenly felt weight above her body. Her man was already on top of her.
âAh! What are you doingâ
She was terrified. She burrowed deeper into the sheets and screamed, âDonât you come near me!â
Her petite body curled up tightly while wrapping the sheets around her, like a silkworm spinning silk around itself.
Gideon did not know whether to be angry or to laugh.
After struggling for a while, he was able to pull her head from under the sheets.

He suppressed the feelings from his heart and ridiculed coldly, âScared? If you are scared now, why didnât you think about this when you are in the bathroom?â
Nell knew it was wrong falling asleep in the bathtub but she felt wronged at the same time.
âI-I didnât do it on purpose! Just turn around, please. Iâll call you when Iâm done.â
She did not know why she would fall asleep in the bathtub, maybe it was the wineâs fault.
âOh wait! No, it must be this man! He did this on purpose!â
She pouted angrily at the thought of it and stared at him with her clear eyes. She had no idea that she looked more like asking to be pampered rather than being mad.
She was also clueless about how impactful her look was to the man that loved her.
Gideon showed a deep affectionate gaze.
Nell locked eyes with him and her heart skipped a beat.
She shrunk into the sheets and stuttered, âW-What are you looking at me for?â
