Chapter 27
Spoiled by the President
#Nellâs straightforward answer made Gideon surprised, but he immediately lifted the corner of his lips.
âBut I have conditions.â
âSay it!â
âFirst, weâre not allowed to disclose our relationship to the public before I give consent. Second, no touching me without my permission!â
The smile in Gideonâs eyes cooled a little. âIs there a third?â
Nell thought for a moment but did not think of anything else, and shook her head. âNo.â
After a pause, she added. âIâll think about it later.â
Gideon said in a low voice. âSo you want me to be a monk?â
Nell was startled.
âMrs. Leith, Iâm also a man. If you never allow it, wonât I have to abstain for the rest of my life?â
His body approached her as he spoke, and Nell could only try her best to shrink away.
âT-Thatâs not what I meant...â
The reason why she put forward these conditions was because she subconsciously thought that this marriage would not last.
So much so that she did not even consider what would happen in the future.
Gideon scoffed as if he had seen through her thoughts.
âNell Jennings, remember this. I, Gideon Leith, will never get divorced after marrying. Since youâve agreed, there is no longer a chance for you to retreat or go back on your word. Be a good Mrs. Leith and Iâll give you everything you could ever want, understand?â
Nell looked at him and said nothing.
The grip on her chin suddenly tightened. She cried out in pain and could only begrudgingly agree. âUnderstood.â
Gideon let go in satisfaction.
Only after letting go did he realize that two small red marks were pinched on her delicate white skin.
His deep eyes darkened slightly.
In the end, he admitted that he had been too aggressive earlier and grew worried that he had scared her.
Thus, he added. âAlright. I wonât touch you for now, but I hope that you can adapt to your identity as soon as possible. Donât make me wait too long, okay?â
Nell flushed red at the meaning of his words and she nodded.
Gideon turned and walked away. Soon after, he reentered with a fresh set of womenâs clothing.
He passed the clothes to Nell. âCome out after changing!â
Nell hummed in acknowledgment.
After the bathroom door closed, Nell took off her wet dress and put on the new clothes Gideon brought in.
The clothes must have been prepared by Matthew while they were in the bathroom.
The plainly-colored simple and casual clothes reduced some of her cold aura. What followed was a strong and pure temperament.
Nell looked at herself in the mirror and paused.
She was not very old now. She was only twenty-four. It was the age of an ordinary person two years after graduating from college.
Perhaps it was because she had experienced too much in these five years. Her heart had experienced all sorts of hardships and she usually stayed in a workplace filled with people in their thirties and forties, which led her to become wiser and more solemn.
Unconsciously, she had forgotten that she was still very young.
This was the most beautiful age for a girl.
At this age, she was youthful, unrestrained, and had enough wealth to live flamboyantly. She also had beauty worthy of being proud of.
When she recalled Gideonâs words earlier, her eyes lowered.
A long time later, she suddenly smiled.
After changing clothes and going out, she found that there was no one in the bedroom.
There were voices in the living room, so she went out to check. There, besides Gideon and Matthew, she also saw the Jennings family and Jason Morton.
Sylvia sat on the armchair, and behind her stood Shaun and Sally.
Jason held onto Celine and stood to the side.
Seeing Nell come out, Celine looked at her in worry and asked softly. âSister, I came back from the hospital as soon as I heard about your accident.
Are you alright?â
Nell glanced at her coldly and remained silent. Then, she walked over to Gideon and sat down.
No one in the room paid any attention to her at all. Celineâs expression grew stiff as the atmosphere grew awkward.
How could the rest of the Jennings have the time to care about her feelings at this point?
The moment Gideon Leith had announced that Nell was his wife, everyone had been stunned into silence!
After their shock died down, they instead felt great trepidation and guilt.
They had gone overboard tonight. Even they felt so themselves!
Therefore, no matter what verdict Gideon made for them, they had nothing to say!
Despite this, they still could not help but grumble about Nell in their hearts.
Why did she not say anything if she climbed up to Young Master Leith?
Now, besides being at their mercy, she even caused everyone to be humiliated in public. Not only that, they ended up offending Young Master Leith.
She did it on purpose!
She was too malicious!
Sylviaâs expression was furious. Nell seemed to sense it and turned to glance at her, shooting her a cold smile.
âWhy, are you unhappy?
âDeal with it!â
Matthew had already ordered someone to bring Isaac up as well. However, compared to the Jennings, who were still treated with surface courtesy, Isaac was not given the same treatment.
He was dragged into the living room bound in ropes, and there were marks on his body and face after being beaten up. There were also purple bruises at the corner of his eyes.
It could be seen that he had been severely sorted out!
At this point, how would Isaac still be confused about the current situation?
He immediately knelt down in front of Gideon upon seeing him.
âPresident Leith! Itâs all just a misunderstanding!â
Gideon was sitting on a wide leather sofa. His long, straight legs crossed as a cruel smirk hung on his face.
âA misunderstanding? Thatâs not what you said in the hall an hour ago.â
Isaac was on the verge of tears.
Only God knew what kind of torture he went through in the past hour.
This group of people were all deviants! They did not give any thought to his life at all. Although he was somewhat a playboy and slightly lascivious, he did not want to die!
âSpill it! Whatâs going on? If youâre honest, I might just spare your life, but if you dare to utter a single lie...â
Gideon trailed off. His eyes were tinged with a cold and murderous look. âYouâll know what will happen!â
Isaac paled and nodded in fright. âAlright, Iâll talk! Iâll tell you everything! President Leith, I swear! I really have nothing to do with this. Itâs all because of that old hag. She was the one who ordered me to do it!
âShe said that if I play along with them and frame Nell Jennings for having a relationship with me, I wouldnât have to repay the one million yuan gambling debt I owed Shaun Jenning!
âI only agreed because I was momentarily blinded by the money! Iâm sorry, President Leith. I was wrong. I was blind and didnât know that Nell Jennings was your wife. Youâre a generous and magnanimous person, so please forgive me!â

Matthew, who was beside him, saw the movement and stepped forward to kick Isaac away.
Although Matthew was Gideonâs secretary, he was also someone who worked out, so his leg strength was very powerful. Isaac was sent skidding several meters away before falling heavily to the ground.
Almost everyone present was all stunned.
Nell was also slightly shocked.
Only Gideon remained expressionless.
Sylvia reacted after coming back to her senses.
She lashed out. âIsaac Collins! What nonsense are you saying? Nell is my granddaughter. How could I harm her? Everyone knows what kind of person you are. If you werenât already involved with her, how would I have agreed to the two of you being together?â
