Chapter 315

Spoiled by the President

The man sneered at the words. “Come on. Don’t puff your face and pretend I can’t see it.”

His words pierced through Tom’s pretense. Tom turned slightly pale and embarrassed.

Brother Hale asked again, “Tell me! Do you really want that little b*tch?”

Tom hesitated for a moment before muttering, “Of course I do, but she’s so stubborn. She keeps ignoring me.”

Brother Hale raised his eyebrows. “Then, do you want her to follow you obediently?”

Tom looked up, puzzled. “Of course.”

Brother Hale nodded. “In that case, I’ll teach you a method.”

Tom perked up. “What method?”

The man took out a packet of white powder from his pocket and placed it in front of him, and whispered, “Put this in her cup later. I guarantee that you’ll have everything you want tonight.”

Tom paled and forced a smile. “Brother Hale, stop it. I’m serious about her. If I do this, will she still talk to me after this?”

Brother Hale scoffed. “You don’t understand. Women are creatures born to be taken to bed. Give her this to drink and do what you need to tonight, and it’ll be too late to change anything tomorrow. Even if she wants to back out, she won’t be able to!”

“But...” Tom still hesitated.

Brother Hale continued. “She’ll definitely be angry at you for the first few days. During this time, just humor and coax her a little, and use the carrot and stick method. Before long, she’ll accept the truth and accept you as well. Don’t worry. I’m talking from experience and will never harm you.”

Tom was somewhat moved by his words. He turned to see Tara sitting there quietly, her plain face cold and indifferent like a flower on a snowy plain.

He hesitated for a moment before finally reaching for the bag of powder and nodded. “Alright, I’ll listen to you!”

Brother Hale’s eyes flashed. He patted Tom on the shoulder and said nothing more.

Tara had already been incredibly bored while sitting alone. After a while, she started getting restless.

At this time, Tom, who had left, came back with a glass of wine and a smirk. “I was impulsive earlier and my tone was bad. I apologize to you, so don’t hold it against me, okay?”

Tara looked at him and frowned, not understanding what he was up to this time.

“What are you trying now? Get to the point!”

Tom saw his attempt foiled by her again and grew slightly embarrassed.

“I’m not trying anything. I just want to have a drink with you!”

After a pause, he added. “Look, even if we can’t be together, can’t we just be friends? It’s my friend’s birthday today. Since you’re already out, why can’t we just have a good time together? Your cold expression is making me lose face, you know?

“Besides, you’ve repeatedly made me angry with your words, but I’ve never bickered with you about it. Can’t you be noble and generous and forgive me this time?”

Tara smiled coldly. “If you were willing to talk to me earlier, I wouldn’t have to sit here and be angry!”

Tom, “...”

His face also went cold and he said unpleasantly, “You don’t plan on giving me any face today, do you?”

Tara said coldly, “I told you a long time ago that we can’t be together. It’s you who repeatedly and shamelessly come to beg for a scolding, so don’t blame me for having a bad attitude. Honestly, my attitude is already considered good for not turning around and walking away now.”

Her words made Tom’s expression turn cold again. “You don’t know what’s good for yourself!”

Tara smiled sarcastically. “What do you want? Soft methods don’t work so you’re resorting to force now? Are you going to force yourself on me? Don’t forget that this is a public place!”

Her fearless attitude caused Tom’s eyes to go icy. In the end, he turned away and left without saying anything else.

Seeing him leave, Tara only thought that he was angry at her. She was completely happy with that and naturally did not bother with him anymore.

After sitting for a while longer, she felt bored and took her bag before walking out.

Originally, she had just wanted to go to the washroom and get some air along the way. Unexpectedly, as soon as she came out of the washroom, she heard the sound of a woman breathing strangely from the dark aisle next door.

Tara paused for a moment before realizing what that sound was.

Her face flushed red at the realization and she lowered her head before hurriedly leaving.

However, at this moment, the woman’s words caused her steps to stall in place.

A delicate female voice sounded. “I heard that Doctor Jackman has always been gentle with women. Why are you so rough tonight?”

She froze. The words “Doctor Jackman” caused the image of Owen Jackman to appear in her mind.

After a moment, she shook her head, feeling that it was impossible for a virtuous person like Owen to do that kind of thing with a woman in a place like this.

Thinking about this, she put her mind at ease and was about to leave.

However, a man suddenly rushed out from the aisle and bumped into her.

She stumbled and almost fell, but the man quickly reached up to hold her. However, his hand rose in mid-air and suddenly stopped.

Tara looked up at the man standing in front of her incredulously. She could not believe that it was him!

Her gaze trailed downward from his slightly flushed face to the lipstick print on his collar, and all the blood rushed from her face.

Owen was also stunned when he saw that she was here.

“Tara, why are you here?”

He raised his hand to help her up but Tara had already stood up. She staggered away from his hand calmly, her expression icy cold.

Owen’s heart pounded as a bad feeling overcame him.

Just then, a woman dressed in a flowery dress ran out from behind.

“Young Master Jackman, where are you going?”

As soon as she came out, she was acutely aware that something was wrong.

She glanced at Tara warily before turning back to Owen.

“Young Master Jackman, who is she? Do you know each other?”

Tara looked at him and sneered. “What’s it to me whether or not you have anything to do with her? Doctor Jackman, I think the alcohol must’ve made you drunk and confused!”

She called him Doctor Jackman, not Senior Brother.

Owen turned pale and subconsciously pulled her arm.
