Gideon looked at her intently. “Do you like it?”

“Yes!”

High-quality imperial jade was already rare enough, but based on the deep coloring of this bangle, it must be of even higher quality than those imperial jade ornaments she had seen in auctions.

Nell was more of a cool and elegant type of girl. Average accessories could not complement her air of elegance.

Usually, accessories made from jade were something most young girls would find too “old-school”. However, the way she pulled them off perfectly boosted her pompous aura while complemented her immeasurable beauty.

Hence, Nell had never been a fan of gold or diamonds, for she only liked jade.

Seeing that she liked it, Gideon had a satisfied expression on his face.

Nell quickly put her hand forward as Gideon picked up the bangle and put it on her wrist.

The jade’s color was so rich that it felt almost like the green was going to leak out from the bangle. Contrasting it with her pale white skin, it looked utterly mesmerizing.

As Gideon grabbed onto this hand, looking at what seemed like a work of art. It almost felt like a switch flipped inside of him.

“Nelly.”

“Hmm?”

Nell was still staring at the bangle currently resting on her wrist. Even though she replied to him, her eyes were still completely fixated on this gift.

Gideon said with a low voice, “You’ve received your anniversary gift, now where’s mine?”

Nell’s body stiffened.

She raised her head and made eye contact with the man before giving out an awkward laugh.

“Umm... Didn’t I say it just now... I forgot...”

“Oh, so you mean I won’t get a gift on our anniversary night?”
