Nell listened to her with a blank expression.

Just as the doctor was about to be done with the examination, she suddenly asked, “Doctor, earlier you said, how old is the baby?”

The doctor answered, “Four and a half weeks.”

When the doctor saw Nell’s downcast face, she let out a sigh. She encouraged her, “Even if something does go wrong, you still have this child. For the sake of your child, you must be strong, okay?”

Nell returned to the third floor with the pregnancy results. Gideon was still in the operating theatre.

She sat there for a while, then said, “Go help Bailey find that person. Once you find her, make sure I get to meet her. I want to ask her in person.”

Matthew looked at her with a conflicted expression.

Nell said again, “You staying here with me will not assuage my guilt. If you really want to help me, catch the assailant quickly, and I will be grateful to you.”

Matthew was stunned. After a short deliberation, he nodded.

“I understand. Missus, don’t worry, even if you didn’t say it, we would still try our best to find the assailant, for Boss Leith’s sake.”

Nell nodded.
