Chapter 430
Spoiled by the President
Liam could not say much when he saw this.
âThen be careful and act according to the situation. You donât have to say much to those lunatics who have reached the end of the rope. If something goes wrong then just kill him, weâll protect you in secret.â
Gideon nodded.
Half an hour later.
Nell was woken up by the sound of some footsteps.
She was still a little dizzy, her eyes also felt heavy and hard to open. After finally opening her eyes a bit, she felt as if she was surrounded by darkness. A ray of light not far away came in from outside, and she saw a figure swaying faintly.
What is this place?
Nellâs thoughts were still blurry, in her memory, she had just come out from the hospital. Originally, she was going to buy Gideonâs favourite Chinese food, then once she got in the cab...
Nell frowned and tried thinking back. What happened after that?
She was suddenly shocked as a scene appeared in her memories.
No!
Nell came around instantly, and got up from the ground subconsciously.
She was surrounded by darkness and there was a loosely closed door in front.
Some light came through the gaps of the door. Her hands and legs were tied, underneath her was a wooden floor which gave out a damp, salty smell, there was also the sound of wind, like she was on a boat.
A boat?
This made Nell slightly startled, her hands were tied so tightly together that it made her wrists hurt. She frowned and tried to break free but did not manage to, instead, it made her wrists hurt even more.
Nellâs heart sank, she pursed her lips and suffered to move towards the door. She managed to see a swaying figure through the cracks of the door with just a ray of light.
That figure... looks familiar!
She searched hard within her memories, and finally managed to remember as the person turned around. Just as she guessed, it was William Cabot.
âWilliam Cabot!â She shouted, âWhat did you tie me up here for?â
At that moment, William was anxiously waiting for a reply.
Upon hearing her voice, he realised that she had already managed to crawl to the door. He went over quickly and kicked at her shoulder while glaring at her. Nell could not keep her balance and fell backwards.
William followed in and turned on the lights in the cabin, he carried her to a side and said sternly, âYou better be good! Or else Iâll just kill you now!â
Nell grunted in pain and frowned as his movements grazed the wound on her calf.
âWilliam, what do you want to do? Iâm warning you, what youâre doing now is considered as kidnapping and itâs illegal!â
Nell said calmly.
William grinned grimly as he squatted down in front of her and revealed a shimmering dagger.
âKidnapping? Illegal? You think that Iâd still be afraid of that now?â
He seemed to be talking to himself, but it also seemed like he was talking to her, âThe Griffin family is going to kill me, even if I donât kidnap you, do you think that my future will be better than being in jail?â
Nell narrowed her eyes slightly, âIâm not even from the Griffin family, what does this have to do with me?â
âWhat do you think?â William said as his eyes suddenly became cold with a hint of hatred.
âIf it werenât for you informing Gideon, who then told Liam about it, would I have fallen to where I am today?
âNell, I didnât manage to kill you last time because you were lucky. If you were to shut up now, then I might still let you go, but you wonât, so Iâll do as you wish. At the worst, neither of us will be having a good life!â
Nell trembled and moved backwards.
âWhat do you want to do? Kill me?â She said while her voice trembled slightly.
âNo no no!â William shook his head, âWonât it be a waste of my effort if I killed you now? Donât worry, your life is worth one billion, I wonât kill you before I get the money.â
One billion?
Nell was stunned for a moment. At that moment, Williamâs phone suddenly rang, he took a look and walked out.
The door was closed, but Nell could vaguely hear the voice outside.
âAre you here yet?â
â...â
âIâm warning you! You only have two hours, If you donât come here within two hours or if you try playing any tricks, then prepare to collect your womanâs body!â
The call seemed to have been hung up here. Soon, he kicked open the door and walked in.
Nell looked at his gloomy expression and temblingly said, âWilliam Cabot! Are you crazy? What youâre doing is kidnapping for ransom!â
William sneered, he squatted down and pulled her hair while gritting his teeth and said, âYou think that I donât know that Iâm kidnapping you for ransom? You think that I would be doing this if there was another f*cking way?
âOne billion! Even if I manage to get the money, Iâll be chased by both the Griffin and Leith and also the police for the rest of my life! Whatâs the use of one billion?!â
He then slammed her head against the wall fiercely to vent his anger.
Nell grunted painly, she gritted her teeth and said, âThen why are you doing this?â
âBecause they are going to send me to jail! Donât you understand?â
For some reason, William started to get irritated and glared at Nell.
âItâs all perverts in there! Do you think that Iâll still be completely fine by the time Iâm released? I donât have a choice! They forced me to do this!â
âNo! This is all your own fault!

âThink about it, you really think that Iâm worth one billion? If you were to release me now, I might still be able to help you. As long as you fill in the deficits, you might not even need to go to jail. After all, you're Liam's uncle and Yvetteâs father right? They wonât give you a hard time in consideration of Yvette and Aunt Scarlet!â
William seemed to hesitate.
His eyes slightly brightened as if he was considering what she said.
Nell quickly continued, âWilliam, we donât have any grudges between us, if you didnât plan on harming me last time, I wouldnât have told Gideon what you did. If you release me now, I can guarantee that Iâll ask Liam to help you.
âBesides, Aunt Scarlet wouldnât want to see you in jail right? If both of us were to plead on your behalf, what else are you afraid of? We are all relatives, everything can be solved as long as we donât turn against each other. However, if you insist on kidnapping me now, thereâll be no turning back once the police intervenes.â
As she was talking, Williamâs phone rang again.
He glanced at Nell sharply, but this time, instead of going out, he answered the call in front of her.
Nell did not know who was on the other end or what that person told him, but she saw that Williamâs expression was gradually getting gloomier.
