Chapter 466
Spoiled by the President
Nell was in a daze, faintly sensing that Gideon was a little odd today, albeit she did not have the time to think.
Lying against his muscular chest, she lifted her eyes and threw him a disapproving look.
Gideon softly chuckled. His slightly coarse fingers brushed past her lips, gently stroking and fondling.
Gideon tightened his grasp around her waist. His voice was raspy, with a taint of cheerful laughter.
As his body slipped down, a flush washed Nellâs face that even her ears were red. She tried to push him away but her hands were quickly pinned down, fingers interlocked and intertwined.
A curtain of ardor fell around them.
However, a maid happened to knock on the door from the outside. âYoung Master, Miss Wilburn is here.â
Nell was taken aback and puzzled for a moment.
âMiss Wilburn? Who?â
Stripping the smile off his face, Gideon solemnly answered, âA relative from my motherâs side. A distant cousin.â
Nell thought about it for a while before coming to a realization.
She seemed to have heard something about the person back in the Leith Residence. What was her name? Helen Wilburn?
Yes, that was the name.
As Gideonâs mother passed away young, Gideon did not really hang out with the Wilburn side of the family, apart from Simon.
The encounter last time was only because of the old madamâs birthday celebration. Representing the Wilburns, she came to the capital to wish Old Madam Quinton a happy birthday.
Later, she wanted to study in the capital and so the old madam helped her out and arranged for a place the girl could settle down in.
They were relatives at the end of the day. She would at least have a place in the capital, which was better than living in the school dormitory.
Only... Why was she here instead of studying in school?
Regardless, they should meet with her since she was already here.
Hence, Nell nudged the man on the arm and said, âSince sheâs here, you should head down quick.â
Gideon had a blank expression on, showing not even the least bit of enthusiasm.
Nevertheless, he still turned over and got up. While changing his clothes, he replied, âTell Aunt Joyce to attend to her and say that weâll be there in a minute.â
âSure.â
Downstairs in the living room, Helen sat and watched Aunt Joyce bustling at work with a smile.
She was not endowed with the most captivating looks and compared to Nell, she was rather bland.
Nonetheless, many men these days preferred plain but tasteful beauty such as hers.
In more gloried terms, a graceful temperament.
She sat with her back straight. Her long and straight black hair curtained over her shoulders. She wore a plain dress with a thin knitted sweater over it, looking rather gentle and poised.
After sitting and staring for a while, she let out a friendly smile. âAunt Joyce, take a rest. Come over and take a seat!â
Aunt Joyce expressed acknowledgment but did not quit at it. She informed the maids to have some light refreshment served and then asked someone to brew her favorite tea. There was no time for a break.
Without insisting, Helen chatted instead. âAunt Joyce, it mustâve been six years since we last saw each other. You still look rather young and haven't changed a bit.â
Aunt Joyce placed a cup of tea in front of her and answered in glee, âMiss Wilburn, thatâs really sweet. Iâm pushing fifty this year and I was around forty-six years ago. Iâm nowhere close to being young.â
Helen shook her head, her lips curled a kind smile.
âAunt Joyce, youâre forever young in my heart and always the most beautiful aid by my auntâs side.â
A hint of dejection alighted in Aunt Joyceâs eyes at the mention. Her eyes were vacant.
A brief moment later, she laughed and shook her head. âItâs all in the past. Iâm only an ordinary old lady now. Iâm content to still be able to help the young master with some stuff.â

Aunt Joyce retreated to one side and called, âYoung Master.â
As Helenâs eyes lit up, she cried out in joy, âCousin!â
Gideon was with a poker face. He did not have much memory of this distant cousin.
However, he would still attend to her a little, so as not to seem aloof for the sake of his mother.
Thus, he nodded and enquired, âWhy did you think of coming today?â
Helenâs gaze fell on him. Several locks of his hair above his neck were dripping with water and his body was slightly drenched with a layer of vapor, a telltale sign that he had taken a shower. There was a red mark at his collarbone as if scratched by a fingernail or something.
There was a glint in her eyes where a glimpse of envy flashed by and quickly disappeared without a trace.
