In a mere few short minutes, Lucy needed to portray the character’s resolution and her determination to avenge her father. At the same time, she had to show her disappointment toward her mother’s orthodox thinking and come to a compromise as a filial daughter.

If Lucy could give an outstanding performance even in this one scene, she would give justice to Nelly Wilson’s character.

But would this be easy to pull off?

From the perspective of the audience, Lucy had an immense pressure cast upon her.
