Chloe hid within the bushes, she did not dare to breathe loudly. She only relaxed a little when she saw that he had left after failing to find her.

Yet at that moment, a black hummer appeared and stopped behind the white light as if it was a majestic beast.

Chloe could not believe her eyes, John had brought a few people over and they were now coming out of the hummer.

John had a grim expression. He was dressed in a black suit that blended into the deep night as if he was a demon from hell. Yet to Chloe, he was an angel.

Chloe choked slightly and tears filled her eyes, making it hard for her to speak.

Luckily, John saw her at first sight. He ignored the driver and immediately walked towards Chloe.

At the same time, the people behind him walked towards the driver.

The moment John walked past his men, he stopped and finally took a look at the driver.

His strong aura and icy gaze caused the driver to tremble and stop struggling immediately.

Then, his beautiful thin lips opened slightly and spit out two words coldly, “Settle this.”

“Mmhm.”

The driver resumed his struggle for he already knew that he had picked on the wrong guy to mess with but it was too late.

Several bodyguards dragged him into the forest.

Until now, Chloe had yet calmed down. She was still shaking like a little prawn in John’s arms.
