Chapter 596

Spoiled by the President

Joel turned on the lamp at the entrance and helped her change her shoes before carrying her inside.

After a while, Lucy had sobered up a little from the alcohol.

She looked at the strange environment and asked in a daze, “Where is this?”

Joel replied expressionlessly, “Your home.”

“My home?”

Lucy revealed a surprised expression.

The next moment, she suddenly realized that she was not being held by Carina but by a man.

The man in front of her was extremely handsome and had really pretty eyes. Why did he look so familiar?

She looked at him in confusion and suddenly reached out to pinch his face.

Huh? Wait!

She had been drinking. How did she suddenly end up here?

Where was this place?

Also, who was this man? Why did he look so much like Joel Foster?

Lucy’s face scrunched up at the thought of that man.

She pinched his face, then his straight nose, and snorted a laugh. “Do you think I’ll believe you just because you look like Joel?

“Hah! You said this is my home? Bah! Wouldn’t I know what my own home looks like? You need to work on your lying skills, okay? Do you think I’m that easy to fool?”

Lucy planted one hand on her hip while her other hand kept poking his chest.

Her little face was slightly puckered as if saying something.

“I’ve seen everything. You’re a hundred years too young to cheat me.’

Joel frowned, not understanding where she learned to be this huffy.

At this point, he did not bother to argue with her and pointed to the bathroom upstairs instead. “Do you want me to help wash you or do you want to do it yourself?”

Lucy looked at the direction of his finger in confusion.

Then, she asked the most inappropriate question she could have asked.

“Wash what?”

Joel smiled faintly.

The smile was somewhat cold and seemed slightly wicked.

He slowly unbuttoned his jacket and took off his suit.

The corners of his mouth hooked up and he laughed slowly. “It seems like you need me to wash you.”

Lucy was dazed for a moment but before she could react, her vision suddenly spun as she was picked up toward the bathroom upstairs.

A minute later, the shrill sound of a woman screaming sounded.

“Ahhh! Joel Foster! You scoundrel!”

“Did you just say you don’t know me earlier? Do you recognize me now?”

“Sob sob... I’m drowning, save me.”

The sound of water splashing came intermittently. Finally, the man grabbed her by the chin and said, “Look closely. Who am I?”

Lucy’s eyes were red from choking on water. She looked at him pitifully.

Deflated and reluctant, she answered, “Joel Foster.”

“I’m your man, remember?”

Lucy was about to cry.

However, she still nodded obediently. “Yes.”

“Good girl.”

The next morning.

Lucy was woken up by the pain in her body.

She frowned and sat up while rubbing her neck.

All she saw around her was an unfamiliar room, luxuriously decorated in light warm colors. Both the decoration and furnishing were carefully and beautifully designed in a girlish style.

The early morning sunlight shone in through the white curtains, coating the entire room with a layer of rich gold, warming people up.

She could not help but frown in confusion, not quite understanding where she was now.

Her memory of last night had long since disappeared along with the alcohol.

Her last memory was of calling Carina and asking her to pick her up.

She did not remember anything else.

As a result, it was even more impossible for her to remember that it was Joel who came to pick her up in the end.

So... Where was this place?

Lucy got out of bed curiously and looked around the room. Only when she went to the mirror did she realize that what she was wearing now was not the same outfit she wore to dinner yesterday.

At some point, the clothes she was wearing had been replaced with a set of silk pajamas.

The quality of the pajamas was very good and light as a feather with a pretty drape. Even after a night’s sleep, there were no creases formed.

Lucy was befuddled.

At that moment, the bedroom door was pushed open and Joel walked in.

“Are you awake?”

Lucy jumped and turned around, and only reacted when she saw that it was him.

She sighed in relief.

“It’s you? What is this place? Why am I here?”

Joel gave her a deep look, knowing that she had gotten blackout drunk, and found it both funny and infuriating.

“What do you think?”

“Huh?”

Lucy was even more confused.

Why was he asking her?

She did not remember anything. How would she know where this place was?

However, looking at Joel’s eyes, it seemed like she should know where this was.

What... Exactly was going on?

She was completely dumbfounded by this man. Joel smiled at her appearance.

He did not continue the topic and put a new set of clothes on the bed instead. “Come down for breakfast after changing.”

Then, he turned and walked out.

Lucy was stunned. By the time she came back to her senses, Joel had already left.

He even closed the door behind him considerately.

She frowned, not knowing why but vaguely feeling that there was something odd about him today.

However, she could not tell exactly what was weird.

She looked at the clothes on the bed and walked over to them, picking them up.

They were all brand-new and should have been just bought. They were from a famous international brand and the style fit her perfectly. They were exactly the right size for her.

After Lucy had changed, she simply cleaned herself up and turned around to walk out.

Joel was already sitting at the dining table, which was filled with all kinds of breakfast foods.

There was porridge, buns, fried dough sticks, sandwiches, and even cupcakes.

Lucy could eat whatever she wanted.

After going downstairs, she was surprised to see breakfast on the table and asked, “Did you buy all this?”

Joel glanced at her and said casually, “Mike sent it over.”

Lucy gave an “oh”.

It made sense. This Second Young Master was used to being served with a silver platter. How would he have gone out to buy breakfast by himself?

Since he had an assistant he could use, of course, he would use him.

She did not have the time to dwell on what had happened last night. After all, she could probably guess by herself. Maybe she just happened to meet him after getting drunk and was taken away by him.

This was just one of his residences.
