Chapter 607
Spoiled by the President
Fourth Cecilâs breathing became more rapid.
He turned his head and glanced at the people by the door before he turned back to Lucy Katz and said in a lowered voice, âPromise that youâll keep your word? Donât lie to me!â
Lucy sneered, âWhy would I lie to you? You know where I live, so even if I can avoid you one day, I still wouldnât be able to hide from you forever.â
After hearing this, Fourth Cecil was convinced.
He thought about it for a while. From a legal perspective, he was her stepfather, so it was in his right to ask her for money.
If she refused to support him financially, he could even sue her for negligence.
After all these years of controlling the mother-daughter pair, Fourth Cecil was now psychologically accustomed to it.
As such, he naturally lowered his guard around them.
However, he remained vigilant to be on the safe side.
âWhat about this? Tell me, whereâs your mother? Once Iâve confirmed her location, Iâll let you go.â
Lucyâs expression turned cold in an instant.
âFourth Cecil! This is between us. It has nothing to do with my mother. Donât get any ideas!â
He let out a cold laugh.
âNothing to do with her? How is that possible? Sheâs your mother and my wife, so our problem is naturally related to her, donât you think? Also you little slut, youâre not the same as you were before, so you donât have to lie to me.
âI know youâve seduced a rich guy. Now that youâre so capable, what if you donât pay me after I let you go? I canât possibly do anything to you then.
Do you think Iâm not afraid that the crazy man will take revenge on me?
âYour mother, on the hand, is different. Sheâs my lawfully wedded wife. Even if I donât scold or beat her, itâs normal for me to do what married couples do with each other. When that happens, if her heart cannot stand it and a mishap happens, this isnât something I can control, can I?
âLegally, I canât possibly be responsible for this, donât you think? Thatâs why you better tell me where she is now. That way, Iâll feel secure and youâll feel relieved. When the time comes, weâll cooperate happily. You give me the money in exchange for your mother. Isnât this the best of both worlds?â
Lucy was so angry that her whole body started to shake.
She always knew that Fourth Cecil was shameless, but she never thought that he would stoop so low!
Lucy gritted her teeth and shot him a death stare. She then spitted out the words, âIn your dreams!â
Her attitude made Fourth Cecilâs expression change.
âHa! Does that mean you were lying to me earlier? Thatâs why you didnât tell me where your mother is? Lucy Katz, do you think itâs fun to mess with me?â
As he said this, he reached out and pinched her chin.
Lucy felt as if her chin was going to be crushed and her head was forced to be lifted.
At that moment, a noise came from outside.
âHey, did you get anything out of her yet?â
Fourth Cecil looked at those men but he did not get to speak before he heard Lucy said in a low voice, âThe moneyâs in my house.â
Stunned, he could not react in time but he eventually turned to look at her.
âWhat did you say?â
âI said, the moneyâs in my house. Itâs such a big cheque so obviously, I donât carry it around with me. If you want it, you can bring me home and get it yourself.â
Fourth Cecil was moved by this notion.
He let go of Lucy and shouted at the men outside, âSoon!â
He then turned around and looked at Lucy.
âAre you sure youâre not lying to me?â
Lucyâs chin felt relieved as Fourth Cecil released it from his tight grip.
She took a deep breath before she said, âOf course, but you must bring me with you. Without me, you wouldnât be able to get in.â
When Fourth Cecil heard this, he smirked.
âYouâre wrong about this. Did you forget how I got into your house the last time?â
However, Lucy smiled back at home too.
âOh is it? So you think that Iâd be so dumb to continue living there after knowing that youâve managed to break in?â
Fourth Cecil froze.
Lucy continued, âYou said so yourself. Iâm a big movie star now. I have money and Iâve also seduced a rich guy. Of course, I wouldnât continue to stay at that small apartment.
âTo be honest, I purposely kept that small apartment to distract you.
âIâm usually out filming and I stay at hotels most of the time anyway. I only get to go home a handful of times a year, so as long as I go back there a few times, youâd think that Iâve always been living there.
âThat way, you wouldnât find out about my real residence. In fact, I moved there a while ago. The place Iâm currently staying at is an individual villa.
âI donât just have cheques, there are also plenty of jewelry and antiques that Iâve secretly kept over the years. As long as you let me go, I promise that youâll get all of these things and not a penny less. What says you?â
When Fourth Cecil heard this, his eyes were blazing hot.
âDo you mean it? There are jewelry and antiques?â
âOf course. Iâm already in your hands. Will I still lie to you?â
Fourth Cecil swallowed his saliva as Lucy looked at him in silence and waited for his answer patiently.
She knew that with his greed, he could not bear to reject her now that he knew he could get that much money.
As expected, he replied a few seconds later, âOkay. Iâll let you go, but only after I get the money!â
Lucy smiled slowly and said, âDeal.â
âDeal.â

After their discussion, Fourth Cecil went out.
The group outside kept asking him if he knew where the cash was.
All he did was laugh coldly and said that the b*tch was tight-lipped. Perhaps if they starved her, they could try to interrogate her again at night.
When another man heard this, his face instantly turned grim. He glared at Lucy and muttered something along the lines of he would teach her a lesson.
As he said this, he walked towards her and unfastened his belt.
Seeing this, Fourth Cecil frowned and reached out to stop him.
âHey, donât. We still donât have the money and this b*tch has a temper. What if we f*uck it up and lose everything? Our efforts will be wasted. Letâs wait until we pry open her mouth tonight, then you can do whatever you want to her and I wonât interfere.â
Upon hearing this, the man stopped in his tracks and abandoned his idea.
He then grinned and said, âOld Fourth Cecil, I really couldnât tell that you can be this ruthless. This is your stepdaughter! If we ruin her, you wonât feel bad?â
With a squint, Fourth Cecil lit up a cigarette and laughed.
âWhat stepdaughter? Sheâs money-losing goods. These ten years, sheâs been using my money and now that sheâs rich, she wants to kick me to the curb! Why should I care if she lives or dies?â
The man heard this and as if he felt more relieved, he put an arm on Fourth Cecil and they continued to chitchat.
