Chapter 608
Spoiled by the President
Fourth Cecil appeared again that night.
At that time, there was no noise from outside as if everyone was asleep.
However, Lucy Katz was not sure if they were asleep or if they had left since it was so quiet.
Fourth Cecil sneaked in, holding a bunch of car keys in his hands.
He walked over to Lucy and unbound her restraints.
As he untied her, he said, âDonât make any noise later and just follow me out. The carâs out on the road not too far away. When we get there, just drive off.â
The tape over Lucyâs mouth had been removed earlier.
She was skeptical when she heard this. So she asked, âWhat about those people?â
Fourth Cecil shot her a look.
It was a mysterious look, and for some reason, it made Lucy feel chills down her spine.
It was as if a cold poisonous snake had leaped onto her spine.
Shortly after, she heard Fourth Cecil said, âIâve drugged them and locked them up in the cellar.â
In this place, the so-called cellar should be the basement.
After all, this was a factory. Basements were commonly used to store extra equipment and other things.
Yet, Lucy was puzzled.
âWhy did you lock them up in the basement?â
If he wanted to take her away, drugging them would be enough. Why would he waste his effort by moving them to the basement?
Fourth Cecil stared at her coldly with his eyes squinted, and he blurted in a low, chilly voice.
âIf I donât lock them there, wouldnât the bodies easily be found? Itâs hidden down there so it would take at least a few days before anyone finds them.
By then, I would be gone, so even if the police were to look for me, they canât catch me, right?â
Lucy stopped moving.
Her body froze as she looked at him in disbelief.
Suddenly, Fourth Cecil took a knife out of nowhere.
He put the knife against Lucyâs stomach and laughed coldly. âOh my darling daughter, this time, Iâve killed for you. You wouldnât betray me, right?â
Lucy felt chills in her back that spread from her skin into her bones, even her fingers were frozen.
After a while, she reluctantly nodded.
âNo, I wonât.â
Fourth Cecil lifted his finger and gestured for her to stand up.
Only then, he said, âIn that case, take me to the money! Donât worry, thereâs no one outside now. As long as you listen to me, I promise I wonât hurt you.â
Fourth Cecil kept the knife against her and motioned for her to walk out.
Lucyâs body was rigid as she slowly moved outside but suddenly, she understood something.
He had never thought of letting her go!
She was not stupid. Fourth Cecil had killed so many people and yet he told her boldly.
Unless he was crazy, then he would confess to the person who had always been against him and could betray him at any moment.
Otherwise... He had never thought of letting her live!
After all, a dead person would not be able to expose his secret.
As she thought about this, all Lucy could feel was the shivers in her body as well as a feeling of panic and despair in her heart.
It was as if a thick black cloud had overshadowed her life, which made her feel like she was on the verge of collapsing.
However, she did not let this show, and instead, she pressed her lips together.
Lucy followed him outside obediently.
They did not walk for long and as he mentioned, there was a black car parked on the roadside not far away.
The knife was still against her stomach. When they got to the car, he passed her the keys and asked, âCan you drive?â
Lucy nodded.
Fourth Cecil immediately handed over the keys to her and ordered her to get in the driverâs seat. He then hurriedly got to the other side of the car and sat in the passenger seat.
In this short one to two seconds gap, Lucy was thinking about running away.
However, she only thought about this for a second before she gave up the idea.
She could not run!
This area was so remote that there was no one in sight, and she realized that she alone could not outrun Fourth Cecil.
Lucy also did not have any weapons on her for self-defense. So even if she ran away, she would be caught in no time.
At that moment, Fourth Cecil would be so aggravated that she could not begin to imagine the consequences.
As she thought about this, she gulped, turned on the ignition, and gripped the steering wheel with both hands.
Fourth Cecil looked at her after he had fastened his seatbelt. He saw that she had obeyed his orders and so he nodded his head in content.
âSee, isnât this great? Iâm relieved now that youâre obedient. Donât worry, once I get what I want, Iâll let you go and never bother you again.â
Lucy could only give him a reluctant smile before she drove off slowly.
She kept the same speed while driving because Fourth Cecil, who was in the passenger seat, still had the knife pressed against her stomach.
Lucy wanted to run off, but she knew that his reaction would be faster than hers.
She knew that before she could run away, Fourth Cecilâs knife would have stabbed her in the waist.
If this was before, Lucy would not believe that Fourth Cecil was capable of doing this.
However, after she got to know that he had killed so many people and hid the bodies, she understood that this Fourth Cecil was not the same as before.
Even though the old Fourth Cecil was equally as vile, he was still a coward and only dared to do minor things like assaulting women, gambling, or fighting.
When he was faced with stronger, he would still retreat.
Yet now, that was not the case.
The current Fourth Cecil was like a cold poisonous snake. On the surface, he looked fragile and even puny, but he might just jump up and bite you at any moment.
Once the poison went into the blood, it would be impossible to survive.
Lucy was confident that if she had any thoughts of escaping at that moment, Fourth Cecil would most certainly kill her and run away.
Therefore, she was careful not to act rashly.
The only thing she could do was wait.
After some pondering, she suddenly said, âDid you prepare a box for the stuff?â
Fourth Cecil was stunned and frowned at her.
âWhat box?â
Lucy smiled rigidly and said, âDidnât I tell you? Thereâs a lot of jewelry and antiques in my house. Didnât you want it all? You must store them somewhere because I donât have any suitable boxes for you at my house. Theyâre all either too unique that it would be recognizable as mine or too small that the antiques wouldnât be able to fit in.â
She was trying her luck.
Lucy was betting if Fourth Cecil was willing to let go of the valuable antiques.
As per her expectations, she heard Fourth Cecil asked, âWhat types of antiques do you have?â
Judging by his question, Lucy knew that he was hooked.
Her heart relaxed and she said casually, âThereâs a lot! What do you like?â
