Chapter 670
Spoiled by the President
Nell took out her phone and glanced down. A frown crept onto her brows.
Lucy asked, âWhatâs wrong?â
Nell replied, âNothing. Iâll go answer this call, you go ahead and try it on.â
Lucy nodded in response. She watched Nell walk out the shop and answer her phone, only then did she enter the fitting room.
After Nell went out, she answered the call.
On the other end, Gregory Grahamâs voice sounded.
âLittle Seven, thereâs something I need your help with. Is it convenient to talk?â
Nell furrowed her brows and said in an unhappy tone, âGregory Graham. I thought our friendship ended a long time ago, so why are you calling me for help now?â
Gregory Graham did not get angry upon hearing Nellâs response. He simply smiled.
âDonât be so fast to object. Just listen to what I have to say first. Donât worry, since Iâm the one asking you for a favor, it wonât just benefit me alone.â
Upon hearing that, Nell fell silent.
Subsequently, Gregory Graham relayed his request to Nell.
Nell did not speak afterwards.
After a short pause, she said, âI can help you, but once this is done, I have two more points to add to what you were basically offering.â
On the other end, Gregory Graham did not sound particularly surprised.
He simply sighed twice and said, âOur Little Sister Sevenâs appetite is growing. Okay, I agree to your demands.â
With that, Nell hung up the call.
After ending the call, Nell was in no hurry to go back to the shop.
Instead, she stood there clutching her phone. After thinking over it, she made another call.
Meanwhile, Lucy had just changed and stepped out of the fitting room, when she saw Nell walking in with a grave expression.
Lucy could tell that Nell was worried about something, so she asked in a concerned tone, âSister Nelly, what happened?â
Nell wrinkled her forehead briefly and waved her hand. âItâs okay.â
Then, Nellâs gaze landed on Lucy and the dress she was trying on. She smiled. âIt looks great, you can buy it.â
Lucy looked at herself in the mirror.
The white mermaid dress hugged her slim figure perfectly. She looked like a fairy with an ethereal glow all around her.
She could not help but nod in self-approval. She laughed, âI think itâs great too. In that case, Iâll buy it.â
Nell nodded.
Thus, Lucy changed out of her dress and paid for it.
The two girls walked out of the shop with clothes they bought.
Lucy noticed the burdened look on Nellâs face. Thinking over again, she could not help but ask, âSister Nelly, are you sure that nothing happened?â
Nell hesitated and turned to look at Lucy. After a few seconds, she responded.
Nell smiled at her. âActually, something did come up.â
She paused momentarily, then continued, âWhy donât you continue shopping by yourself? I need to go take care of something. Iâll look you up later.â
Lucy quickly nodded.
âSure, no problem. You go ahead with your matter, Iâll just shop a bit more and head back.â
Nell nodded. After telling Lucy to be careful and to watch for her safety, she left.
After Nell left, Lucy wandered around by herself.
There was a vast difference between shopping alone and with another person.
Lucy strolled around for a little while and got bored. She was debating internally whether or not to go home, when she spotted two familiar figures walking towards her.
âBig Brother Nolan, you donât have to keep me company all the time. Iâm just bored of staying at home. Iâll just walk around, nothing will happen to me.â
Emilia Jareau told Spencer Nolan gently.
Spencer Nolanâs face was impassive as usual, but his words were extremely affectionate.
âYou havenât been back for more than twenty years. Youâre not familiar with the capital nor its people. Just because you think itâs safe, doesnât mean that it is.â
Hearing his answer, Emilia had nothing else to say, so she did not reply.
They continued walking forward and suddenly saw Lucy standing in front of them. Their steps came to a stop.
âMs. Katz, what a coincidence. What are you doing here?â
Lucy felt that life was filled with oddities. Some people, you could brush shoulders with every day and never end up knowing each other.
Whereas some others, you could run into them three times in the short span of two days, and every single time was a coincidence.
She could not help but chuckle. âSister Jareau, it is a coincidence. Are you here to do some shopping?â
Emilia nodded and smiled. âI got bored staying at home, so I came to walk about.â
She paused and looked behind Lucy. âAre you alone?â
Lucy said, âI came with a friend, but she had an urgent matter and had to leave, so Iâm left by myself.â
Emilia laughed. âItâs boring to shop alone. If you donât mind, would you like to shop together?â
Hearing that, Spencer immediately wrinkled his forehead and wanted to put a stop to it.
However, Emilia was already one step ahead of him. She took Lucyâs hand.
Lucy thought that it was not a big deal to go shopping together.
It was indeed boring to shop alone, plus she was quite fond of Emilia, so she agreed.
Spencer looked at the two girls walking hand in hand. His face darkened slightly, but he did not stop them.
Spoiled by the President ï¤Chapter 669 Treating Her Wounds With the company of Emilia Jareau, Lucy felt a lot happier.
She had to admit that Emilia Jareau was a very interesting person. She was not only beautiful, but also humorous and intelligent. It was obvious that someone like her must have been raised in a good family.
Lucy could not help but become more curious about her relationship with Xavier Foster.
While her mind was wandering, their group was feeling tired from shopping and looked for a place to have tea.
Lucy voiced out the question in her mind.
âSister Jareau, last time you mentioned that you know Uncle Foster. What is your relationship?â
Emilia Jareau was stunned by the question. Nevertheless, thinking it through, she saw no reason to evade the issue.
Emilia replied evenly, âHe is my brother-in-law.â
âHuh?â
No matter how curious Lucy had been, and how many possibilities she considered in her mind, she did not expect this to be the answer.
She stared at Emilia and thought hard. Her forehead creased up in confusion.
âBut Aunt Fosterâs name is Natalie Wright. Her family is Wright, whereas your family name is Jareau...?â
Emilia chuckled softly at the look of bewilderment on Lucyâs face.
She was such a kind soul, there was not an ounce of malice in her body. Even her entire face was filled with pure gentleness.
She spoke softly. âWe are not biological sisters. My family ran into some trouble when I was young, so I was adopted by the Wright family. They were very kind and allowed me to keep my birth name, so my family name is Jareau. However, I grew up in the Wright family. The Aunt Foster you mentioned, is the sister whom I grew up with.â
Lucy was shocked upon hearing her answer.
