Chapter 757

Spoiled by the President

It was there that Vickie Thomas met the most unforgettable person in her life.

What kind of meeting was that?

She thought back, it was relatively normal, no special scenes, no special appearances, not even a unique status or halo.

In the backyard full of grapes, Vickie saw an eleven or twelve years old boy, sitting under the grape tree’s shade. He was holding a book in his hand, concentrating pmhis studies.

He was beautiful. He was as pretty as a girl despite him being a boy.

Huge eyes, long eye-lashes and his fair skin was like a fine quality suet white jade.

He wore a well-tailored little suit and a pair of unicolor leather shoes on his feet and his hair was nicely combed. Even when he was studying, he was unlike any of the other kids.

Little Vickie was stunned for a moment.

The boy put down the book and looked up, like he sensed someone was coming.

That pair of eyes, cool and peaceful. Just like he was free from all affairs in the world, like a clear lake on the mountain top. His eyes seeped into her heart.

Vickie thought she would never forget their first meeting for the rest of her life.

Uncle Glenn passionately walked her to his backyard and introduced her. “Come, let me introduce you, this is my student, Gregory Graham. You can call him Brother Gregory.”

He continued and introduced Vickie to Gregory. “She’s Vickie Thomas. From now on, she’s my granddaughter. You as her brother must take care of her, don’t bully her, alright?”

The boy in front of her did not nod or shake his head, he did not even agree.

He frowned a little. He was just eleven or twelve years old, but because of his poker face, he was like a grumpy old man trapped in a kid’s body.

He opened his mouth and asked, “Vickie Thomas? Isn’t she the step daughter of the Taylor family? How did she suddenly become your granddaughter?”

Uncle Glenn hesitated for a while.

He did not expect Gregory to know what had happened in town because the boy was always hiding in the backyard.

Uncle Glenn explained Vickie’s circumstances to him.

He did not show any sympathy from his face and snorted coldly.

He said, “Suit yourself, as long as it doesn’t interfere with my studies, it’s none of my concern.”

Uncle Glenn was used to his reaction, the old man laughed and walked away with Vickie.

However, it was very strange for Vickie.

This little brat, what kind of person was he, how could his attitude be this bad.

Uncle Glenn was so kind, he willingly took her in and also taught her to read. How can he talk to Uncle Glenn with such poor manners?

That was ridiculous!

She puffed her cheeks, wanting to go back and give Gregory a menacing stare. To let him know she was not easy to deal with and to never bully her.

Once she turned around, she saw the look of a boy studying with his head downed. Quiet and appealing, like a gem shining under the sun.

She was quickly distracted.

To think that in this world, there would not be anyone more handsome than the boy.

Ugh, for the sake of you being so good looking, let’s forget about it!

But next time... Hmm hmm.

Just like that, Little Vickie Thomas lived with Uncle in the orphanage.

In that era, the underage child protection procedures were incomplete.

Therefore, even though she left the family she originated from and went to Uncle Glenn’s side. No one cared about it.

Despite her mother knowing about the situation later on and going to find her several times, wanting to bring her home. Little Vickie rejected her each time.

Her attitude was as firm as a rock to her mother, she had lost all her trust in her mother.

Vickie’s mom was depressed and helpless.

At the same time, deep down in her heart, there was a glimpse of happiness.

They all were familiar with the old director of the orphanage and knew that he was a highly respected man, full of knowledge and accomplishments.

If Vickie could stay by his side, it would be a good thing.

She made up her mind to not convince her anymore.

As for Bryan, he never showed up from the beginning till the end.

Uncle Glenn had lived his life for decades, how could he not know what the family was thinking after he saw this situation.

Selfish and greedy. The kid was viewed as a burden and they never thought of being responsible for her.

No wonder she chose to live here rather than in her own house. She had accepted the lonely old man as her grandfather and never wanted to go back.

Thinking of that, he could not help but heaved a sigh.

He felt extra pity for what Little Vickie had endured.

Conversely, Vickie got over it quite easily.

In her opinion, she would not be happy in that family. So, why not follow her grandfather.

Vickie’s mom got the life she desired. As long as Vickie was not dragging her mother down, she considered it repayment for her upbringing.

Once she got over it, Uncle Glenn was affected by her and his mood was also lifted.

He was quite influential in that area and therefore he adopted her by simply going through some formalities.

After that, Little Vickie stayed in the orphanage.

After she came in, she realised that Gregory Graham’s family was the one that financially supported the orphanage. Due to his poor health, he was unable to attend school.

Uncle Glenn was a bachelor’s degree holder, well-educated. That was why Gregory’s family purposely made a deal with him.

For Gregory’s side, they would provide money to sponsor the orphanage. As for Uncle Glenn's side, he would be responsible for being Gregory’s teacher, teaching him and guiding him in his homework.

Actually, Uncle Glenn fancied Gregory Graham deep down in his heart, because although he was quiet and sometimes cold, he was very intelligent.

No matter what the old man taught him, Uncle Glenn only needed to say it once and Gregory would be able to master it.

In comparison, Little Vickie’s tricks were nothing in front of Gregory’s intelligence.

So, for him to study conveniently, Gregory lived here regularly.

It was different compared to her. He was here as a guest, with his own servants, housekeepers and nanny by his side.

He was like a noble and arrogant young master.

Unlike her.

She was like a spurned weed, homeless and only got to stay after she begged for it.

In order to do her best to please tUncle Glenn. Everytime after she finished her studies, she would prepare dishes, do laundry and clean the courtyard. Sometimes, she even helped Uncle Glenn take care of the younger orphans in the orphanage.

This was despite Uncle Glenn telling her several times that she did not have to do so.

Since he promised to take care of her, Uncle Glenn would not chase her away, so she did not have to please anybody.
