Chapter 765
Spoiled by the President
Vickieâs gaze suddenly became cold as she stared icily at him.
Having achieved his aim, Gregory flashed a proud glance.
In fact, he was a formidable person out there as though he was an underworld deity. However, he acted like a proud kid in front of this woman now.
Vickie snorted. âGregory, after not seeing you for four years, youâre still as shameless as ever!â
Upon hearing her rude remark, the man did not get angry either. On the contrary, it seemed that her anger fostered an even stronger sense of pride in him.
Lifting his chin slightly, he proudly said, âSo are you.â
Vickie was infuriated and did not feel like talking.
Noticing her expression, Gregory finally let go of her. He turned around and continued walking forward.
Vickie touched her own chin that had been tightly pinched. She reckoned that there must be two finger marks as a result of the grip.
At the thought of the manâs face that deserved a punch, fury began to flow through her. As she stared at his back, she did not tell him off in the end.
She lifted her feet and followed him.
Both of them kept moving forward and they soon reached the cemetery.
The spacious venue was filled with newly-built tombstones with small names carved on each of them.
All these people were Gregoryâs confidants from the Dragon Regiment. Four and a half years ago, the Dragon Regiment and the Vermilion Bird Organization had battled with each other. The Dragon Regiment had ultimately won the battle, but it was a Pyrrhic victory. Those who had sacrificed their lives during the battle were all buried here in the end.
Vickie looked at those black and cold tombstones, not knowing his intention of bringing her there.
Was he planning to kill her in revenge for his brothers?
Nevertheless, he had just said that he would not kill her. He probably wanted to beat her to vent his anger.
Ha! Unfortunately, if he were to start attacking, God knew who would win!
At such thought, she felt a glow of pride deep inside. Even the gaze she cast at him revealed a sense of contempt.
At this moment, Gregory was certainly unaware of the womanâs thoughts. Standing there in his green cashmere coat that matched his tall and sturdy physique, he looked like an upright pine tree.
He asked coldly, âVickie, do you know why Iâm not going to kill you yet?â
Vickie did not utter a word.
He continued, âItâs because Iâve promised them that Iâll make you suffer a living death. Iâll torture you until the last moment and then use your blood as a memorial to them.â
He turned around and gave her an icy stare. âSo, I wonât let you go. You should be clear about this.â
Vickie stared into his eyes without a sense of fear or cowardice. She asked, âSo, what do you want?â
âHa!â He laughed coldly, showing his white teeth that gleamed like a shiny knife between his thin lips. He replied, âI want you to come with me. If you refuse to do so, you should know what kind of situation your sister will end up in!â
Vickie squinted her eyes a little while she kept glaring at him with a dangerous glint in her eyes. âGregory, let me warn you. Donât you dare attack the people around me.â
âYou have no right to set the conditions.â
âOh really?â
Laughing coldly, Vickie raised her feet and moved toward the side all of a sudden. She yanked a branch from the tree beside her. Then, she walked back and began drawing on an empty area.
âBut what if I tell you that I have something in hand that youâll want?â
Stunned for a moment, his brow furrowed a little.
While she dropped her head a little lower, she did not look at him. The drawing did not stop either. Soon, she used the sand on the empty area to draw a simple road map.
âRecently, I heard youâve been searching for something. Iâm sure youâve been searching for it for a long time, and you have no clue, do you?â
The gaze Gregory directed at her got even colder. He demanded, âHow did you find out?â
Vickie gleefully laughed with sarcasm. She smilingly said, âBoss Gregory, I was just in jail, but Iâm not blind or deaf. If I want to find out about something, Iâll definitely have a way.â
As she was speaking, she dotted the ground using the branch she was holding. She added, âThis is the map that Iâve just figured out over the past few days. What you heard is true. Thereâs only a handful of people in this world who can solve this. In other words, you can never find anyone else to solve this for you except me.â
Looking dazed, Gregory walked toward the area where the map was drawn to take a look at it.
Sure enough, it was exactly what he had been mulling over and attempting to solve lately.
His expression turned grim. Raising his head, he looked at her and coldly asked, âHow did you get this?â
He had practically grown up with Vickie since young, hence he was completely clear about what she could and could not do. Therefore, he firmly believed that it would be impossible for her to solve what he himself was unable to.
Upon hearing his words, Vickie smiled carelessly. Her smile was filled with a little sarcasm and some malice. She softly said, âDoes it matter to you how I got to know this?â
Gregoryâs face became even more sullen. Staring coldly at Vickie, he continued to ask, âWho taught you this?â
Upon hearing his question, she raised her eyebrows. She probably did not expect that he would be so determined to try and get to the bottom of it.
After some contemplation, she did not see the need to hide it from him. After all, if he really wanted to find out, he would manage to do so by carrying out a simple check.
Thus, she frankly replied, âIn jail. An old man taught me.â
With an icy expression, Gregory turned around and grabbed his cell phone to make a call.
In this situation, she clearly knew what he was going to do. She immediately snickered, âThereâs no point doing it. You wonât be able to find him.â
Gregory immediately flinched. Turning around, he asked with a cold look, âWhy?â
Vicky walked to the side and aimlessly played with the branch. She replied, âWell, heâs dead.â
Gregory instantly frowned.
With a discreet smile, she looked at him and said, âWhat did you think? Otherwise, why would I have let you know?â

âDamn! Iâve been tricked by this woman again.â
Vickie threw the branch away. Pressing one hand against the rock, she leaped onto it and said, âBoss Gregory, seriously, letâs make a deal!â
Gregory gave her an icy stare and laugh. âA deal? With you?â
âRight. You and I.â
âDo you deserve it?â
Vickie was lost for words.
She inwardly told herself that something was wrong with the mind of this man. As a normal person, she should not fuss about such a patient, so she put up with him.
Thus, she wore a grin as beautiful as a flower. Her grin was so wide that her eyes could hardly be seen.
âWhether I deserve it or not, Boss Gregory, youâll only get to know after our cooperation, wonât you? Furthermore, who else can solve this map now except me? We should take advantage of each other in society. You wonât lose anything, and neither will I. Thereâs no need to put on airs because youâll just embarrass yourself eventually. Donât you agree?â
