Chapter 869
Spoiled by the President
Not only was Mr. Osborne a very considerate and thoughtful person but he was also very fond of Vickie.
He knew that she was worried and did not want to go to see Gregory face to face, so out of his thoughtfulness, he came over and informed her, "Miss Thomas, you don't have to worry too much. The doctor has just checked on the Young Master. There are no major issues, only that he needs to be at home to recuperate during this period."
Vickie paused for a while as she pursed her lips and thought to herself, âI didn't ask how he was doing. Who gave you permission to tell me about his condition?â
In the end, she could only nod and say softly, "Mr. Osborne, it's been hard for you."
With a smile, Mr. Osborne said, "As long as you and Young Master are both doing well, itâs not difficult at all."
Vickie choked.
She did not know what Mr. Osborne meant by "both doing well".
Did he mean that each of them should be healthy and safe? Or did he mean that the two of them should be good towards each other and quit fighting?
Vickie was a little confused, and even more so, she could not stop thinking nonsense. When she realized that her thoughts had gone astray, she quickly stopped herself.
She said to Mr. Osborne, "Iâm fine. Please go about your work."
Mr. Osborne left with a nod.
As Mr. Osborne left, Vickie too turned around and went back to her room.
It was not until dinner time when she saw Gregory again.
Gregory was injured, so naturally, he could not have his meal downstairs. However, he was reluctant to eat alone upstairs with the excuse that eating alone was boring and so he insisted that Vickie accompanied him.
How could Vickie not know what this man was thinking?
She did not want to go, but considering that he was still a patient, she went over reluctantly in the end.
Upstairs in the bedroom.
Mr. Osborne had ordered the servants to prepare the food in which, except for the few things that Gregory ate, the rest was Vickieâs favorites.
Since Gregory was now seriously injured, he could not eat a lot of things other than some light and nutritious food.
Although Vickie's injuries had not fully healed yet, most of her wounds had recovered and she was just waiting for her bones to grow back slowly.
Therefore, she did not have many food restrictions and she could eat anything, so the food in front of her was extremely sumptuous.
Mr. Osborne knew that Vickie had been working very hard for the past few days and had not been able to eat properly because she was worried about Gregory's safety, but today, she could finally be relieved of her worries. Needless to say, he had prepared the most delicious food for her to make up for it.
Vickie was not shy, and after she sat down, she began to eat.
Both of them were very quiet as they had been trained to do that since they were young.
No one spoke in the room. Only the sound of the two of them quietly chewing their food and the clinking sound when their chopsticks accidentally touched the bowls and dishes were heard.
Perhaps it was because he had just suffered a serious injury, so Gregory did not have much of an appetite.
He only ate half a bowl of porridge before he could not eat anymore.
Vickie paused, looked at the bowl he had put down, then gave him another half bowl of porridge without saying a word.
She said sternly, "Eat another half a bowl."
Gregory was dumbstruck.
He looked down at her and said, "I can't eat anymore."
Vickie said resolutely, "Even if you donât want to, you should still eat a little more."
He should see for himself how much blood he had lost in the first place. How could he recover fast if he did not eat more to replenish his nutrition and energy?
Of course, she would never say these out loud.
Gregory looked at her. The woman had a good appetite and did not eat any less just because of the change in dining location.
As he watched her, he felt that his appetite had improved as a result.
With that, he picked up the bowl and began to eat again.
Next to them, Mr. Osborne had been watching all of this silently and he was more than delighted.
In the past, Gregory was the king of the chateau and he made all the decisions.
As long as he decided on something, no one else could convince him otherwise.
Thus, no one could influence his decisions.
Now, it was different.
There was finally one person who could control him and would never let him act out again.
This was nice.
The corners of Mr. Osborneâs lips curled up involuntarily.
After dinner, the maids cleared the table.
Vickie looked at Gregory who was lying on the bed and saw that his handsome and pale face, which had lost a lot of blood earlier, had finally regained a hint of redness at this time. Moreover, he was also in a much better mood.
She asked, "Do you feel bored? Do you want to go out for some air?"
Gregory's eyes lit up as he listened.
"Can I?"
After all, he was seriously injured.
Vickie curled her lips and turned to Mr. Osborne.
"Would you mind helping me to bring over the wheelchair that I had used earlier?"
Mr. Osborne did not know what she was doing, and he was a little less than approving of the idea of Gregory going out in his current state.
However, seeing that both of them were so excited, he could not bear to spoil their fun.
Thus, he agreed to it.
Not long after, Mr. Osborne brought over the wheelchair.
At first, Gregory thought that she wanted to take him out for a walk, but after Vickie had someone to get him on the wheelchair, all she did was push him outside onto the balcony. Only then did he understand what she meant.
It turned out that her idea of getting some air referred literally to getting air.
Gregory was inevitably disappointed.
However, upon thinking that they could finally have a quiet moment together, he was relieved.
The balcony was large, and apart from some plants, there was nothing else on display, so it looked a bit empty.
It was already late at night.
The chateau was lit up and it illuminated a small lake nearby.
As they sat on the balcony, they could see the outline of the rolling hills on the other side of the lake that was among the darkness.
Gregory could vaguely feel that something was wrong and so he asked her, "Do you have something to say to me?"
Otherwise, why would she, out of the blue, take him out to get some air?
Vickie looked down at him and said, "You're overthinking it."
After she said that, he raised his head.
That was because he was sitting while she was standing.
From his angle, he could just see her fair chin which looked like a piece of glossy jade that glowed in the dark.
Strangely, Gregory somehow believed her words.
Hence he gave a slightly aggrieved "oh".
Vickie paused, and for some reason, she suddenly felt that his "oh" contained many things.

ï¤Chapter 487 The End Pt. 5 She looked at him and smiled.
"What? You're not used to me being nice to you so suddenly?"
Gregory did not know what this queen was thinking, so he could only smile at her adoringly before he said carefully, "Sort of."
Vickie chuckled lightly.
She murmured, "I wasn't mean to you before, was I?"
Gregory thought about it, and honestly, Vickie had indeed been good to him in the past.
Though that kind of nice was not the same as it was now though.
Back then, no matter how good their relationship was, she always looked feisty.
