Chapter 878
Spoiled by the President
Vickie did not mind and nodded. âGo ahead.â
Andrea walked out with her phone.
As Vickie watched the gaunt figure leave, a trace of softness and affection flashed in her heart.
Why was she so nice to Andrea?
All this time, Andrea had always been taking care of her to the best of her abilities, with which she was quite pleased.
In fact, there was another reason: Vickie seemed to see through Andrea and recognize Jennie within her.
They were both young girls who were like freshly bloomed flowers. They were in their most brilliant and beautiful youth and were both strong in character. They were born in mud yet remained unstained, and were full of hope for the future, completely different from herself.
However, Jennie was already dead. She had died for Vickie before Vickie even had the chance to treat her well.
Vickie did not know what kind of weird psychology was at work. She sometimes looked at Andreaâs slender figure and really seemed to see Jennie in her. There were some things that she could not make up for anymore.
In that case, she would let the girl, which reminded her of Jennie, have a good time and live happily. That way, it was also a kind of compensation for her to Jennie.
Vickieâs thoughts drifted a little far, and at this time, the shop assistant had come back with the dress. She smiled politely and respectfully. âMiss, would you like to try it on now?â
Vickie shook her head. âItâs not for me but for my sister. You can leave it for now. She went out to answer the phone.â
The shop assistant originally thought that the girl who followed Vickie with an uncomfortable face was just a maid or attendant due to her appearance as though she looked like she came from a rural area and because her actions seemed like a little girl from a small family.
It was only after hearing Vickie say this that the shop assistant realized that she was her sister. The smile on her face could not help but blossom a little more, and she nodded. âOf course.â
It took about three to four minutes before Andrea returned.
Although she tried to maintain her smile when she came back, Vickie could see a trace of gloom and something wrong in her eyes. She frowned slightly and asked, âWhat happened?â
Andrea shook her head. âItâs nothing, just...It was a call from home.â
Her smile was a little forced as she gingery touched her head and said, âItâs just the same old. I just wonât pay attention to it.â
Vickie frowned. As far as she knew, there was no one in Andreaâs home as the girl was an orphan and had grown up in an orphanage. Was the âhomeâ she mentioned referring to the orphanage?
However, Vickie did not dwell much on it and she patted Andrea on the shoulder. âDonât think too much about it. We can talk about it later if anything comes up.â
Then, she motioned to the dress that was put aside and said, âGo try it on.â
Andrea nodded.
The shop assistant took the dress and led her to the fitting room.
While Andrea was in the fitting room, Vickie found herself bored from sitting around and waiting, so she stood up and continued to stroll around the store.
The bodyguards who came with them naturally did not enter the store as it would affect business and make everyone uncomfortable. However, they also did not dare to stand too far and remained waiting outside the entrance. As soon as there was any movement inside, they could run in immediately.
Vickie strolled around for a while but did not see anything she liked. When she saw the other two shopkeepers following her, she waved her hand and said, âGo ahead and do your own stuff. Donât mind me. Iâll just look around.â
The two were not overly polite and smiled. âOkay, please feel free to call us if you need anything.â
âSure.â Vickie nodded, and the two left.
After they left, she turned around and walked to the entrance.
Her footsteps paused. Not far from the entrance, she saw Jonathan Starks standing with a group of bodyguards, watching the pedestrians around them vigilantly.
At the same time, he also paid attention to the store from the corner of his eye.
Perhaps when he spotted her standing by the entrance, he thought that she had something to order, thus he quickly walked over.
âMiss Thomas, whatâs the matter?â he asked in a deep voice.
Vickie looked at him. The man was tall and straight, and his face was also very handsome. He looked neither particularly strong, but he was by no means thin either.
The two thick black eyebrows revealed a valiant air, and his solemn appearance as he worked was very attractive. It was no wonder Andrea liked him.
Vickie smiled. âItâs nothing. I was just watching you guys standing there all the time. It must be hard work.â
Jonathan was stunned as he probably did not expect her to say this, and he gave her an embarrassed smile. âItâs not hard work. Itâs what we should do.â
He must not be a man who was very good with words, so he did not know what else to say after that. He stood there and scratched his head somewhat woodenly.
A lightbulb suddenly flashed in Vickieâs mind when she saw this. She chuckled. âWell, since youâre here, just do me a favor.â
Jonathanâs expression grew grave and he quickly said, âIâm at your disposal, Miss Thomas.â
Vickie laughed. âYou donât have to be so serious. I just want you to come in and help me see if a dress looks good.â
âHuh?â Jonathan had probably never thought in his life that Vickie would ask him for such a favor one day.
When she saw him freeze, she raised her eyebrows. âWhat? You donât want to?â
Jonathan was so embarrassed and confused that he did not know how to answer. After a while, he finally stammered, âNo, just...that...I...â
He did not even know where he should put his hands and only managed to string a complete sentence after a long time. âMiss Thomas, Iâm an unrefined person and donât know how to judge womenâs clothing. Thatâs...I might not be able to help you with this.â
Vickie smiled. âItâs fine. All you have to do is tell the truth. Sometimes, a womanâs eyes canât be trusted, so we need you men to have a look at it to know whether itâs good or not.â
Her words made Jonathanâs heart pound even more. For some reason, Gregoryâs cold and serious face suddenly appeared in his mind.
He shivered and wanted to make an excuse again, but Vickie had lost her patience and dragged him into the store.
âCome on, youâre a grown man. Iâm just asking you to help look at a dress, but youâre being all indecisive like a little girl. Itâs not like Iâll eat you.â

Jonathan could not say a word.
âYoung Master, oh, Young Master, I really didnât mean for this to happen. I wonât have any thoughts and wonât dare to do anything either. Itâs Miss Thomas who forced me to do this. You mustnât be jealous and blame me later.â
He prayed silently in his heart. He had no idea that what Vickie was asking his opinion on was the dress Andrea wore.
At the same time, inside the fitting room, Andrea sat inside while the dress that she should be trying on was placed to the side.
