Chapter 890
Spoiled by the President
Vickie stood up and hugged Andrea.
"Miss Vickie! Iâve finally met you! You're really okay...I was scared to death." Andrea hugged her back while her body trembled faintly because she was scared.
As Vickie held Andrea, she felt a bit complicated and apologetic. She knew that Andrea was just an ordinary girl who probably had never experienced something like kidnapping in her life.
This time, it was only because of her that Andrea was implicated. Thus, her guilt was even heavier. She patted Andreaâs shoulder gently and said, "Alright. It's okay. Don't be afraid."
Andrea whimpered and lifted her head from Vickieâs shoulder. As she wiped her tears, she asked, "Miss Vickie, what's going on here?"
Vickie glanced at Lucius, who was still standing by the door, and her gaze was slightly cold. "It's nothing. Don't worry. You'll be fine."
Lucius saw that she kept looking at him with a hostile gaze and knew that he was not welcome there, so he shrugged his shoulders and turned around to leave.
Vickie motioned for Andrea to untie her, then walked over to the door and closed it.
Once she was sure that the people outside could not hear her, she turned to look at Andrea. She examined her to make sure that she was not hurt and that she had not been mistreated in any way.
She then went over to take Andrea's hand and sat down on the edge of the bed.
"How are you? You didnât get hurt these two days, did you? Did they give you a hard time?"
Although Andrea shook her head, on her face, there was still clearly a look of fear. Because she was afraid that Vickie would be worried and guilty, she tried to act as if she was fearless.
Little did she know that the more she looked like this, the more distressed Vickie felt.
She shook her head and said, "I'm fine. They just locked me up. They didn't beat me or mistreat me. They just never wanted to tell me about your condition...sob...sob...I was so worried."
Vickie watched as Andrea cried her heart out. She touched Andreaâs head and comforted her, "Don't be afraid. It's alright now. It's okay."
As she said that, she patted her back gently.
Andrea lifted her face and looked at Vickie with concern on her face. "Miss Vickie, who are they? Why did they kidnap us?"
Vickie's eyebrows furrowed, and after some pondering, she decided not to tell Andrea the truth so as not to scare her.
She merely explained softly, "Theyâre from another organization. They captured me because of some personal issues with me. Youâre just someone they captured in passing, so if nothing happens, they won't do anything to you. Don't worry."
Andrea shook her head. "I'm not worried about myself. I'm just worried about you...â
Vickie laughed. "Silly girl. You donât have to worry about me. Have you ever seen me suffer at the hands of anyone?"
Andrea thought about it and agreed. Finally, she also laughed openly. "Right! Miss Vickie, youâre the strongest person in the world! No one can fight you!"
Vickie nodded and reassured her, "So, if there's a chance for you to leave, you must go and not think about anything else. Understand?"
The smile on Andrea's face stiffened.
Ignoring her reaction, Vickie continued, "Iâm their target, so I definitely can't leave. No matter how good my fighting skills are, my two fists still canât beat them, but you can. Remember this. Iâll find a chance to get them to release you. After you leave, go back to the chateau to find Gregory immediately. Tell him about my current situation. Don't hesitate to leave because of me. Got it? "
Andrea's expression changed at once. She shook her head incessantly and said, "No, I can't leave you alone."
Vickie frowned. "It doesn't count as leaving me alone. You should go out and get help! Itâs better than both of us being trapped here,â she said while she raised her eyes to look out the pitch-black window, only to find that in the endless darkness, there was like a pair of invisible eyes staring at her.
She could not figure out who it was.
Vickie did not know why she felt this way, but this place made her feel very insecure.
Jennie Taylor had already died for her, so no matter what, she could not let anything happen to Andrea.
Everyone was born equal, and she could not let any more innocent people lose their lives for her sake.
As she thought of this, she pursed her lips, then suddenly turned to Andrea and said, "To tell you the truth, the man who sent you in just now is most likely my biological brother. We mightâve gotten separated when we were young and only just met now. He has always wanted to get to know me, but because of some past feuds, I canât possibly recognize him as my brother.
"The feud was somewhat complicated, so you don't need to understand all of it. Just know that he won't kill me at will, so there's no need for you to worry about my safety.
"Right now, what we're missing is for someone to inform the outside world. Once you're out of here, go to Gregory. Then, he'll naturally find a way to get me out, okay?"
Andrea stared at her in stunned silence, and after a long moment, she finally nodded.
"Okay."
There was a pause, then she added, "But...how am I going to get out?"
Vickie pondered for a moment. Actually, until now, she was not completely sure that Lucius was not lying to her. However, those vague memories did appear in her mind, and if they served her correctly, there was a good chance that the relationship between the two of them could be true.
Granted, his purpose for capturing her might not be as innocent as he claimed, but there was no need to doubt that he would not take her life for the time being.
There must be another reason why Lucius was so eager for her to acknowledge their sibling relationship at that moment.
As Vickie considered this, she intoned, "I'll think of a way. Or...I can pretend to comply first, but in any case, I won't let the other party get away with it."
At this point, she looked at Andrea and added, "When you get out, everything will depend on you, so you must keep yourself safe."
Andrea nodded heavily.
After the two of them finished their discussion, for their safety, Vickie did not let Andrea leave. Instead, she asked her to stay in the same room and they rested together.
The next day, it was already morning when she woke up. Andrea woke up earlier than her and had already washed up by then.
When she saw that Vickie was awake, she said, "Miss Vickie, you're awake! Would you like to wash your face?"
Vickie nodded.
Andrea had already squeezed the toothpaste for her. Vickie went into the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth, then looked at herself in the mirror.
