Chapter 896

Spoiled by the President

Vickie heard footsteps coming and then soon after, the truck door was opened.

"Come on down!"

A man said coldly to them.

Amber stood up and walked to Vickie's side to help her up.

Vickie looked at her bound feet, smiled, and said, "Are you expecting me to jump off like this?"

Amber looked at the rope on her feet and frowned.

She was about to squat down to help her untie it but was stopped by the man at the door.

"There's no need to untie it. If you find it inconvenient to jump down, you can also choose to stay locked in this compartment for the night. We don't have a problem with it anyway."

After he said that, he ignored her and turned to leave.

Vickie was at a standstill.

She did not expect that the other party would be so hard to deal with.

Beside her, Amber straightened up and looked at her helplessly.

"So? Do you prefer to stay in the car? Or I can help you jump off."

Vickie smiled slightly.

She always understood the principle that a wise man should not fight against the odds. Although there was a thin blanket in the compartment, it was still cold and hard. If she were to spend the night in the car, she would have caught a cold before she could escape, which was not worth it.

Thus, Vickie smiled and nodded, "I can get down by myself."

Then, she held onto the wall and slowly nudged her way out.

When Amber saw this, she thought that Vickie’s actions were a little funny and could not help but let out a laugh.

It only lasted for a second. She stopped laughing and hurriedly came forward to help Vickie so that she would not fall.

After a long time, Vickie finally made it out of the truck with much effort.

There was a deserted village in front of her, and the truck was parked on the only dirt road nearby.

Perhaps it had just rained, because the soil was a little soft and there were many deep and shallow puddles, which made the whole road look muddy.

She was still wearing the white sneakers that she had on when she left the chateau, but at this time, they were already dirty.

Vickie did not care and followed them to the village across the street.

There were not many villagers, or rather, there were not many families living there in the first place.

There were 4 men with them. One of them knocked on the door of a house, which opened to reveal a dark face.

Their mouths were saying something that Vickie could not understand. It should be a local dialect.

She raised an eyebrow, and although she could not understand it, she could still tell from the accent that this place should be somewhere in the Middle East.

Vickie did not know what the man had said to the villager, but the villager poked his head out of the door, took a look at Vickie and Amber in the back, then finally nodded and opened the door to let them in.

After being locked in the compartment all day, Vickie’s feet finally touched solid ground, and at this point she did not mind doing whatever they needed her to.

When they entered the house, the group of men said something to this family, and this family gave them all of their belongings and the keys to the house, then turned around and went out.

Vickie felt that the villagers probably would not come back anytime soon. Perhaps the group had rented out their house.

In her mind, she was wondering what exactly this place was, and if she were to rush out to shout for help, she wondered if there was any hope of being saved.

However, she turned around and glanced at the thing bulging at the waist of those four men and knew that it was a gun. She then dismissed the thought at once.

After all, although these villagers looked tough, they were just unarmed, ordinary people.

Also, when they saw that her hands and feet were tied earlier, none of them said anything. Perhaps they had already colluded with these people and would not help her anyway.

Usually, there was only one chance to escape, and if one did not manage to escape the first time, it would not be so easy to escape a second time.

Therefore, she must not act rashly without full certainty, lest she would alert the enemy.

As Vickie considered this, she sat down obediently in the room they had arranged for her.

Soon, Amber fetched a basin of water and used a clean towel to wipe Vickie’s face.

Vickie's heart felt a tinge of emotion. After all, it was simply not easy for someone to think of washing their face under such circumstances.

She looked at Amber and said, "Thank you."

Amber paused in her movements.

Her face showed an array of emotions.

Vickie looked at her with a seeming smile and said softly, "What? Why do you look so glum when I thank you?"

Amber knew what Vickie was thinking. Vickie was just certain of Andrea’s kindness towards her and was just forcing her to be soft-hearted.

She said in a flat voice, "Don't waste your time. I can't help you, much less let you go."

After a pause, she looked out seemingly wary of the people outside, then lowered her voice and said, "If you really don't want anything to happen to you, you'd better go along with them. They're not ordinary people and are capable of anything. I certainly can't stop them if they end up doing something to you."

She then packed up her things and turned around to go out after that.

Vickie was silent for a moment as she pondered over the words Andrea had just said to her.

She knew that these people were from the Chinese Association, so naturally, they were not ordinary people.

There was nothing wrong with Amber telling her to obey them, but to this day, she still did not know why these people wanted to capture her.

It was obvious that the answer to this question would not be found in a short time.

Spoiled by the President Chapter 895 Don’t Be Mad Vickie was not in a hurry anyway. She was already here, so she would know sooner or later.

As she considered this, she simply relaxed and waited for another half hour before Amber brought in her dinner and fed her.

Vickie was not rude either. She ate a full dinner then asked to go to the toilet.

They did not give her a hard time about it and allowed Amber to go with her.

When they went to the bathroom, one of the men followed them to the entrance, watched them go in, and stood guard outside.

Vickie saw that there was no hope of escape even if they went to the toilet and knew that these people would never let their guard down easily, so she was in no hurry.

She thought that when she was at that villa earlier, Gregory had already found her, but unfortunately, Andrea got in the way and they just missed each other.

Vickie did not know where he was by this time and whether he had found her tracks.

She had to leave some markings for him.

As she thought of this, she took advantage of Amber's lack of attention, then pulled off one of the buttons on her pants and threw it into the corner.

Although she was not sure if Gregory would recognize what was on her clothes, something was still better than nothing, and she just had to try something!

After using the restroom, she followed Amber back to the room she was staying in before.

By then, after dinner, it was already completely dark.

Everyone had been moving around all day and were already tired by night time.

Even so, they still refused to let their guard down around her.
