Nell was working when she suddenly received a call from Gideon.

He asked if she was free at noon to come over to him. Someone wanted to meet her.

Nell was a little surprised, but she happened to be free at noon, so she agreed.

“I am! Are you working on anything new?”

Gareth’s eyes lit up.

“No, I’m busy shooting “Hidden Valley: Ashley’ now. Lucy Katz, who you introduced to me before, is great. Both her professionality and her attitude are much better than other actors of her age, so I have to thank you!”

Nell had a sneaking feeling that there was no way Gareth Leith made the trip here today just to thank her.

Gareth did not care. “So what? You have talent. With my training, I’m sure that you’ll be able to shine in this play.”

Nell, however, shook her head.

“I’m sorry, Director Leith. I won’t be able to accept this request of yours.”

He stared at Nell anxiously. “Why not?”

“Because I have no plans to be an actor, and I don’t like the life of being watched by others.”

An artiste. How glamorous it sounded.

Gareth looked at her with a grudging gaze.

“Alright! You can talk to her first. If she seems suitable, then I’ll contact her again.”

“It’s settled.”

After sending Gareth off, Nell did not plan to stay any longer. There were still a bunch of cases waiting to be dealt with over at the PR department, so she prepared to leave after greeting Gideon.

However, the man stopped her.

“There’s a gathering in the evening. Will you accompany me?”

Nell hesitated. “I still have work at night...”

Gideon frowned.

His deep eyes locked onto hers and he said with a bitter gaze, “It seems like I made the wrong decision by letting you join Anning International.”

Nell was confused. “How so?”

“You’re so busy that you don’t have time for me.”

Nell. “...”

“Nelly, why don’t you leave that aside and just focus on your Xinghui. It’ll be more relaxing that way...”

“No.”
