33 - ♣ Privacy Invasion (ii)
The Order Of Machiavelli
Scene: Dominikov & Vivienne
He bent his head to kiss her nape, through the opening in her T-shirt.
She involuntantly closed her eyes when he moved up to kiss her neck.
âWho let you in?â sheâd wanted to ask sternly, but it came out as a moan instead, as she felt him drag his teeth up to her sensitive ears
âI deviced another way in. one that didnât involve Amelia pointing a gun to my faceâ
âYou really need to get me introduced to the rest of the household. Iâm tired of going through a backdoorâ he said, going over to sit down at the work table.
He'd stopped the kisses just like that, dismissing it as if it didnât just happen, leaving her all high and dry, not to talk of shaken up.
Okay. He wanted to be professional? Well so could she.
âAnd why should I do that? Iâm going to spend the rest of my days with you, for the next one year. Yet youâre not still satisfied with that. You also want the weekends as well. Iâm sorry, but my weekends are mine and mine alone Deeâ she said intently, going over to sit down too.
âFrom Dominikov to Dom. Now from Dom to Dee? Seriously? Youâre a lawyer so you should know what this isâ Sighing, he said; passing some documents to her across the work table.
âMarriage certificatesâ she whispered, staring right at them
âSign them. Iâve signed my part already, il mio cuore batteâ
âHow many languages do you speak Dominikov?â
âTwo other, outside English. Russian and Italian. My dad was Italian but my mom was Russian. I rarely speak Russian. Any other language apart from English, I speak to you, is most probably going to be Italianâ
âWell, why do you keep on saying them in Italian if I'm not going to understand them? Or correct me if I'm wrong, is that not the essence of conversation? For both parties to understand each other?â she asked getting a pen from her pocket to start signing the documents.
âMaybe they were not for you to understand in the first placeâ. He cocked his head
âWhat were they for then?â she asked exasperatedly, pausing to look up at him
âFor my pleasureâ
she mentally filed down in her head that, she needed a mobile speaking translator. She badly needed to know what he was saying; call it curiosity perhaps.
At least heâd helped her a bit by telling her it was Italian.
âIâm done signing itâ she said, locking her pen and passing the document back to him.
âGood. Youâre going to be formally announced as my new bride, in the next ball the Orderâs going to have, coming up in a monthâs timeâ
âFineâ
âCome with me Viv. Theyâre already waiting for us by nowâ Dominikov said, abruptly standing up, grabbing her hands, and walking very fast
âWoah! Woah! Woah! Slow down Iâm on heelsâ she chided
He at once picked her up over his shoulders in the space of a heartbeat, not once slowing his pace.
âWhat the...drop me down Dominikov. Now!â
He smacked her arse then
âBe quiet! We donât want to wake Amelia or Jude upâ
she yelped, not believing he just did that
âYou know what? Maybe we should wake them up, and ask them how they feel, with a stranger taking their mistress out of the house!â
âAnd then perhaps have to kill them thereafter no? Donât test me Vivienneâ he replied, walking through the front door
âHow the heck did you know my password?â she brooded
âMerchant isnât that hard a word, to figure outâ he muttered sarcastically
She heard, rather than saw the vibrations of the helicopter waiting for them outside.
He laid her softly on one of the seats, while he got into the other one, starting to take off. It took her some time to get her beanings right.
âThere was no helicopter packed outside when I came in through those doors Dominikovâ she was astonished. One hardly missed a strange helicopter parked outside one's house; what with the way it sounded alone, and it's size
âI knowâ he replied simply.
Suddenly, they heard a loud scream from the ground
âHey! Land that helicopter! Now!â
A long sniper gun, was already pointed at the helicopter, ready to shoot it down.
