Chapter 122
Back to the Past: Breaking the Love Spell
The male students were equally enamored. They whispered among themselves.
âMan, sheâs so classyl
âI just thought of something to describe her⦠What was it again?â
âThat sheâs a goddess and you want her?â
âYeah, exactly. Donât you think sheâs a true lady?â
âMs. Loweâs always been so goddessâlike. Iâve decided to focus on my education from now on. That
way, Iâll be able to marry her in the futureâ¦â
âYeah, right. Look at how ugly you are. Do you think youâre worthy of her?â
âFuck you. Donât go anywhere after classâfight me!â
Meanwhile, Wanda prodded Carlisleâs elbow and asked, âDo you like Ms. Loweâs dress?â
He hadnât taken his eyes off Susan since sheâd entered the room. Carlisle grinned. âItâs not half bad!â
Susanâs style wouldnât be considered oldâfashioned even after more than a decade from now.
Wanda blinked. âDo you think Iâd look good in a dress like that?â
Carlisle imagined what she would look like in that dress. Wanda was about five feet and five inches,
and she was slender. There was a sort of ladylike air about herâSusanâs dress, coupled with the sense
of innocence Wanda exuded, would be a great idea.
âYouâre gorgeous, Wanda. Youâd look good in anything!â Carlisle chuckled.
If he really had to choose something that would look good on Wanda, he thought sheâd look best in
princessâlike, pouffy dresses. Sheâd look amazing with her hair tied in two pigtails.
It was too bad there werenât any such outfits in the country at this point. People would only start
producing them sometime in the future.

Still, Carlisle supposed he could kick start the process a little earlier once he had some extra money..
âSilence, everyone!â Susan rapped the table lightly, and everyone fell silent. She continued, âYouâre all
going to go through military training for the next half a month to improve your health and stamina. This
is your trainer, Lawrence Hanson.â
She turned to Lawrence. âIâll leave them to you, Mr. Hanson.â
âThanks.â Lawrence smiled.
Susan gave the students a meaningful look before leaving the classroom. As soon as she left,
everyone seemed to lose interest in the remainder of the class. They slumped in their seats.
âSit up straight!â Lawrence slammed the table, shooting a sharp gaze over the class. It scared the
students and made them sit up straight.
âI donât care what youâre like in other classes, but when Iâm running things, I want all of you to do as I
say. He put his hands behind his back and slowly walked down the aisle. His face was devoid of
emotion, but he exuded an air of oppression. None of the students dared to breathe loudly, let alone
speak.
âFirst, let me introduce myself. My name is Lawrence Hanson, and Iâm a retired soldier. Iâve also been
selected as Riverland Universityâs best trainer for seven years in a row! Oh, and I have a nicknameâBig
L.â
Some of the students couldnât stop themselves from laughing. Lawrence joined them, baring his teeth
in a wide grin. His skin was tanned, so his teeth seemed to gleam. The students who had been holding
back their laughter couldnât take it anymore. They burst into laughter.
Wanda was the only one who looked worried. She mumbled, âSo, heâs Big L⦠Weâre in for some harsh
training!â
âWhy do you say that?â Carlisle asked.
âQueenieâs mentioned him to me before. Heâs supposed to be some monstrous trainer. All the
freshmen heâs trained come out on the other side looking worse for the wear!â She sighed.
âIt canât be that bad, right?â Carlisleâs eye twitched ominously. He was already starting to imagine how
horrible the training would be.
âI guess weâll have to wait and see!â
Lawrence held up a fist, and the students instantly fell silent. He said calmly, âWe have a long path
ahead
of us. Firstly, Iâm going to tell you a bit about my life as a soldier. Then, Iâll brief you on our training plan.
I hope weâll be able to get along well for the next two weeks!â
