Chapter 333
Back to the Past: Breaking the Love Spell
âDad, can you give me the keys to our old house?â
Susan walked into the office, speaking in her usual carefree manner.
It was completely different from her quiet and elegant demeanor at school.
âYouâre taking your boyfriend to that house? Isnât he supposed to return to the army today?â
Rowan retrieved a bunch of keys from the drawer.
Susan pressed her lips together.
âTomorrow is Momâs anniversary, so he extended his

Rowanâs hand trembled slightly as he held the keys. He chuckled.
âHeâs thoughtful.â
Susan snorted, âHeâs definitely not like you. Would you forget your wifeâs anniversary again if I didnât
remind you?â

hand, she turned to leave. As she glanced at Carlisle sitting in the chair, Carlisle also
looked over at Susan.
âCarlisle⦠What are you doing here?â
Susan was stunned. Her face turned red when she realized how carefree she had appeared to be just
moments ago.
Her carefully crafted image at school was falling apart.
âMy friend is hospitalized, and it turns out his attending physician is Dr. Lowe,â Carlisle explained.
âI didnât realize he is your father, Ms. Lowe, Carlisle said with a smile.
People often said the truth would be stranger than fiction, and this situation proved it.
Susan and Rowan didnât resemble one another. Carlisle speculated that she may have taken after her
mother instead.
âOh, I see. So, whatâs wrong with your friend?â
Susanâs tone softened as she tried to salvage her image.
Rowan spoke up, âThereâs intracranial bleeding. He also took over a dozen stab woundsâ¦â
Susanâs eyes widened in shock, and she stammered, is it that serious? Your friend isnât someone from your class, is he?â
Carlisle shook his head with a smile.
âNo, heâs not.â

Susan breathed a sigh of relief internally but still expressed concern, âEverything happens for a reason.
Donât be too sad.â
Then she turned to Rowan, saying, âDad, Carlisle is an excellent student in my class. Can you help him.
out?â
Rowan chuckled.
âYou know me well. I always do my best for all patients, regardless.â
Susan nodded lightly.
âMy boyfriend is waiting downstairs for me. Iâll head off now.â
Both Carlisle and Rowan nodded in agreement.
As Susan left the office, she closed the door behind her.
Rowan picked up his thermos, took a sip, and then spoke solemnly as if making an important decision.
âShould we try alternative medicine?â
It was a proposal that went against hospital regulations. Most Western doctors were skeptical of alternative medicine. Patients like Heath, who could afford expensive treatments, brought considerable profits to the hospital.
Rowanâs suggestion was entirely based on Carlisle being his daughterâs student.
âDo you have any recommendations, Dr. Lowe?â Carlisle hurriedly asked.
He understood why Rowan suggested it. If Rowan dared to bring it up, it meant he had a reliable alternative medicine physician in mind.
Rowan wrote down a phone number and address on a piece of paper and handed it to Carlisle.
Carlisle was stunned when he saw the address. The paper had âFranklin Complexâ and âSawyer Hughesâ
scribbled on it.
Wasnât that the neighborhood where he lived during high school?
