Chapter 54
Back to the Past: Breaking the Love Spell
Sean had just sat down when he suddenly remembered the day of the SATS when Carlisle saved
Christine. With an intense gaze, he asked, âCarl, did you also predict that Christine would be in danger
that day?â
âYup!â Carlisle said with a nod
Christineâs tragedy was entirely based on his memory from his past life.
Lily, on the other hand, had her fate altered because of him. His psychic abilities had predicted her
tragedy.
Sean was now fully convinced of Carlisleâs psychic abilities. His breath hitched, and he continued to
ask, How about the Heavenly Sword in The Legendary Tale? Did you predict that, too?â
He finally knew why Carlisle dared to boldly set a goal of earning one million dollars.
With such an extraordinary ability, why would he need to worry about not making money?
Carlisle rolled his eyes and said with discontent, âDo you think I can predict everything through fortune
telling? Getting rare weapons in games is all about luck!â
Sean chuckled, âIt doesnât matter. Having such an ability is more than enough!â
Christine couldnât understand a thing they were saying. She asked in puzzlement, âWhat talking
about?â
Lily looked at Christine in surprise. âDid Carlisle save you too?â
are you DUNG you guys
Not wanting them to continue delving deeper into the topic, Carlisle said with a smile, âThatâs enough.
Letâs eat first. It would be a shame if all these tasty dishes become cold!â
Just like that, the four of them ate and happily chatted away. Sounds of their laughter resonated in the
private room.
It wasnât until around 10:00 pm that they finally took this
leave.
They packed up the leftovers, giving most of them to Christine and Lily.
Sean had a little bit too much to drink and seized the opportunity to get Lilyâs messenger username.
He even insisted on booking a hotel for Christine and Lily for the night. The both of them firmly
declined, but that only made Sean upset. He complained that they were being overly courteous.
Carlisle said with a sigh, âWhy donât you two just stay at a hotel? It isnât safe for two young ladies to
stay at a motel.â
Thinking about what had happened before, Lily felt a tinge of fear. She grabbed onto Christineâs arms
and said, âChristine, why donât I stay with you tonight?â
Christine nodded. She, too, wanted to ask Lily about how Carlisle saved her.
Sean proceeded to use the girlsâ names to book a double room and then accompanied them toward the
elevator.
Outside the hotel, Zachary had just parked the car. He was prepared to unbuckle his seatbelt when he
heard Wandaâs trembling voice from the passenger seat. âZac⦠letâs switch to another hotel!â
âWhatâs wrong with staying at our own hotel? Iâve been driving for the entire day. Canât you pity little old
me?â Zachary twitched the corners of his mouth several times.
Wanda quietly lowered her head. Tears began to stream down her face and landed on the back of her
hand.
âOh, no. Donât cry. Alright. Weâll go to another hotelâ¦â
Zachary couldnât bear to see his beloved younger sister, Wanda, cry, so he hastily turned the car
around.
After driving for another hour, they finally arrived at another chain hotel.
Without saying a word, Wanda got out of the car and took her luggage from the trunk.
Zachary parked the car and quickly caught up to her. He snatched the luggage from her and said,
âWanda, whatâs gotten into you?â
Lately, he had been finding it increasingly difficult to understand Wandaâs thoughts.
She had been completely fine during the day but was now so moody.
At the hotel front desk, a man and a woman were seen to be checking into the hotel.
The man was fully dressed in designer clothing, while the woman was dressed in slightly more modest
apparel.
âThereâs only one room left, Sarah. Why donât we just share a room? Iâll sleep on the couch!â The man
suggested, a smirk playing on his lips.
With her face flushed, Sarah shook her head. âThat wonât do. It isnât appropriate for a man and a
woman to share a room. Iâll just stay at a motel. Apart from the mosquitoes and slightly poor
environment, itâs just as good. Besides, Iâve already gotten used to it from when I was in high school!â
