Chapter 71
Back to the Past: Breaking the Love Spell
âThen what do you like to eat?â Carlisle enthusiastically ate the meat Wanda had given him.
She said softly, âExcept fatty meat and animal offal, I can eat everything else!â
She then asked with guilt, âWould you think Iâm a picky eater?â
âYouâre not the picky one, but Sarah. Do you know how picky she is?â Carlisle spoke vaguely while
chewing.
âTell me!â Wanda turned and glanced at Sarah by the window.
She noticed Sarah had looked over just now. That was why she deliberately gave Carlisle meat to
show it
to Sarah.
Her purpose was to stop Sarah from thinking about him.
Wanda was satisfied when she saw Sarahâs resentful expression.
*She canât eat pasta which is too rough or too soft. She dislikes halfâmushy and halfâraw omelets. She
avoids onions and dislikes tomato sauceâ¦
Carlisle went into great detail about Sarahâs picky eating habits. He couldnât help but lament how he
had managed to serve her before.
âCompared to her, Iâm indeed not picky!â Wanda smiled.
âThatâs right. Apart from her good looks, she doesnât have any advantages!â Carlisleâs contempt for
Sarah grew as he talked.
âItâs enough for her to be pretty. Or you wouldnât have had a crush on her!â She puffed her cheeks.
âI was blind back then!â He scratched his head and blushed.
âOkay, letâs stop talking and eat!â Wanda rolled her eyes at Carlisle. She was still a little unhappy.
She wasnât as attractive as Sarah. Would he forget about Sarah and be with her? Was she only a
substitute in his heart?
The afternoon was selfâstudy lessons. Midway, Susan, the guidance counselor, brought everyone to
pick up military training supplies. Military training would start next week.
After lessons, Carlisle sent Wandaâto the girlsâ dormitory before leaving to find Owen.
When he came to the hotelâs entrance, he noticed Owen smoking with two longâhaired young men
wearing black vests and suspenders.
âHello, Carl.â
They areâ¦â
Carlisle glanced at the two of them. They were probably in their 20s. He felt that one of them looked
familiar. However, after thinking for a long time, he couldnât recall where he had seen that man.
âThey also play The Legendary Tale. Theyâre in the same guild as me. I happened to meet them at an
internet cafe. They also want to make a fortune with you!â
Owen looked embarrassed. He took Carlisle aside and whispered, âCarl, they have a good relationship
with me. Please do me a favor!â
Carlisle felt disgusted with Owenâs approach. He was helping Owen since he had been kind to Gordon
in his previous life.
However, Owen brought two more people with him. They appeared untrustworthy. If they stole the
technology, they would form a new group.
Carlisle was worried he might wind up cultivating competitors.
Fortunately, game account farming was only one part of his business landscape. Since they were
Owenâs friends, he would let them divide Owenâs interests.
âOkay, since theyâre your friends, theyâll also be my friends. As long as theyâre willing to endure
hardship, theyâll get the benefits!â He patted Owenâs shoulder and spoke sincerely.
âHehe, thank you, Carl!â
Owen thanked him gratefully before saying to the two men, âCome over and get to know Carl!â
They came over and greeted Carlisle reluctantly. They couldnât be too haughty because Carlisle was
wealthy. The wealthy one would always be the boss.
âYou guys can first introduce yourselves!â Owen spoke to the two of them.
One of the skinny men responded, âIâm Heath Walton, 22 years old. Iâve not studied since I graduated
from junior high school. Iâm level 47 in The Legendary Tale and a core member of the Pride Protectors!â
