CHAPTER 113
Winning Her Heart Back
Chapter 113 Itâs All Over
With no choice, Emmelie called Hugo to tell him their location.
Hugo said he was nearby and would be them in five minutes.
Soon, Hugoâscar pulled up in front of them. Mona mashed into his arms, weeping as he took her away.
Emelie was in poor shape, too, and she was unsteady on her feet.
Unable to make it home, she headed to the hotel across Westward Club.
Checking in at the front desk, a camera in the comer focused on her with a click, capturing another photo.
Emelie didnât even bother to remove her makeup or change, collapsing onto the bed.
Her job interviews failed, and Gretaâs condition worsened.
For the past week, she had been rushing around to different places. Paired with Williamâs accusations, she was exhausted and drained physically, mentally, and emotionally.
She tried to sleep but couldnât. Her heart felt heavy, thumping uneasily with a hunch that something was about to happen.
She tried to settle herself. She needed rest as Gretaâs surgery was tomorrow.
Finally, after much effort, she managed to doze off, only to be abruptly awakened by her phone.
The piercing ring startled her awake. She instinctively sat up, causing a sudden rush of dizziness due to low blood sugar.
Ignoring the sensation, she scrambled to find her phone. Finally, she spotted it on the bedside rug.
It was Ronan calling
Emelle immediately answered, âDad? Whatâs wrong?â
Roman cried out and said, âEmelie Weâre at the hospital, but theyâre sending us back.
âThey said thereâs no heart, so they canât do the surgeryl Emelle, what do we do?â
Emelleâs mind went blank for a moment. She couldnât recall it she told Roman she was coming.
Tegardless, she hung up. Her only thought was to get to the hospital immediately.
She quickly got out of bed, legs wobbling as she dropped to her knees hard on the carpet. Her knees hurt from the impact.
She bit her lip, pulled herself up, and leaned against the wall, hurrying out.
Emelie descended the stairs and hailed a cab. âLifeLine Hospital, bunny!â
Outside the doctorâs office, Ronan had already caused a scene.
He held a fruit life, talding a young nurse hostage.
Roman shouted in agitation, his voice echoing.
âYesterday, you told us to come to the hospital for surgery! Now you say the heart is no longer available!
âYou doctors must have taken bribes and given the heart to someone elsel Shameless, unethical monsters! If my wife dies, youâre murderers! Murderers!â
The doctor in charge of Greta tried to calm Roman. âMr. Hoven, weâve explained to you. The platform allocates donors based on how critical the patientâs condition
âGreta still has more than six months to live. The other patient has only one week. So, the heart went to him first.
âThis waseta decision made by un doctors. Itâs based on the platformâs data. No one can intervene!â
Ronan couldnât understand such complex explanations. His hand, holding the life, kept shaking. The blade cut the young nurseâs neck, leaving a bloody wound. âI donât care! I donât care! dive us back the heart! Give it barldâ
Emelie and the police arrived at the hospital at the same time.
Seeling this scene, she froze. Her mind went blank Only one thought remained, âItâs over. Itâs all over now!â
The police held blast shields, forcing the crowd back. Emelle was behind the shields. She saw her father being held at gunpoint by the police.
She cried out, âDad!â
Boman tomed to look at her, his eyes red with tears. âEmelle, what do we do? What do we doâ¦.â
Emelle didnât know what to do either. What could they do?
The heat was gone.
Runat raised chaos in the hospital, holding a nurse hostage and injuring her. He was bound to end up in prison..
Her parents. What could she do?
