Chapter 50
Winning Her Heart Back
Chapter 50 Hard to Rofune Him
Emolle was slightly taken aback.
Samuel took the girlâs hand, pulled her in front of him, and gently unid, âHey, canât you see I have a friend here? Donât embarrass me,
The girl pouted and complained, âIâve been looking for you.â
Judging from their intimacy, they seemed to be more than just friends. Were they⦠dating?
Just as Emelle was guessing in her mind, Samuel spoke up.
âWeâll talk later. Donât be rude. Say hello to Ms. Hoven first. Ms. Hoven, this is my fifth sister, Melanie
Swanson,â
So she was his sister.
Emelie looked over, and Melanie also glanced at her. Both of them were stunned at the same time.
Melanie pointed at her and exclaimed, âItâs you!â
Emelie recognized her.
Melanie had previously liked William and actively pursued him. She bought him flowers, coffee, and event showed up at his company.
However, at that time, William was already with Emelie and not interested in pursuing another relationship, so he straightforwardly rejected her.
Coincidentally, there was an important project overseas, and William took Emelie to work abroad.
They were gone for over a month, and when they returned, Melanie didnât show up again,
Their only interaction was on the day William rejected Melanie. She cried miserably and got caught in the
rain.
Emelie took her to buy new clothes and sent her back to school.
However, those things were not so important.
What mattered was that Melanie had a pretty and innocent face. Apart from being lively, her other characteristics perfectly matched Williamâs preferences.
During their conversation, Emelie learned that Melanie had graduated and was looking for a job. She had wanted to be a teaching assistant to Samuel but was rejected by him.
Emelie thought for a moment and then asked, âMs. Swanson, do you want to hear about another job?â
With Melanieâs resume in hand, Emelie prepared to return to the company.
Samuel pulled up in his car next to her. âIâll give you a ride, Ms. Hoven.â

âNo need. Iâll just take a cab. Itâs very convenient.â
Samuel seemed to sense her hesitation.
He looked at her through his glasses and said, âYou helped me by introducing a job to my sister. All things
considered, I should thank you.
âBesides, Iâm also going to Zesty Tacos near Cloudex to buy some food for my sister. Iâm going in the
same direction. No need to worry about it.â
Since he put it that way, Emelie felt she couldnât refuse anymore.
She thanked him and got into the car, casually praising him, âYouâre really good to your sister. That place. always has long queues.â
Emelie had wanted to try how good the food was, but she always gave up because of the long queues.
âSheâs the youngest at home, and my siblings spoil her. Iâve gotten used to it.â
They arrived at the perfect time, with not many people in line at the store.
A new batch of tacos just came out of the oven, and the aroma wafted across the street.
Samuel unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car. âWait here for me, Ms. Hoven.â
Emelie looked at him. âIâll get off here. You can just turn around after buying the tacos.â
Samuel turned to look at her gently. âI just need a second â
His eyes werenât particularly stunning, but they had a mysterious charm that made people want to obey
him.
Emelie hesitated for a moment and then agreed, âOkay.â
Samuel smiled and got out of the car.
In the car, Emelie leaned against the headrest and looked at Melanieâs resume. She didnât wait long. before the car door opened again, and Samuel came back with two takeout bags.
He handed one to her directly.
âThis place doesnât offer delivery or open other branches to guarantee the taste. Melanie loves it and always asks me to buy it for her every few days.
âPlease try it for me, Ms. Hoven. See if itâs really that good or if that brat is just messing with me.â
Emelie didnât know what to say.
He didnât just have eyes that made people want to obey him; he also had a skillful way of speaking that made it hard for people to refuse him.
