Chapter 620
Winning Her Heart Back
Chapter 620 Ash, Donât Leave
âYou bastard! Are you all dead? Get Sadie to the hospital now!â Rowan roared.
It was only then that the maids rushed forward and carried the unconscious Sadie away from Elias.
Elias made a beeline for the door. However, Rowan, seething with rage, was on the verge of slapping him in the face.
Elias turned to face him, and the latter found his hands trembling. He couldnât lay a hand on Elias as he looked into his cold, dead eyes.
Elias smirked. âIf anything happens to my wife, Iâll take both her life and her childâs life.â
He knew Sadie orchestrated everything to protect her son from inheriting the Undvike family. They were all responsible for this, and he wanted them dead.
Rowan was furious. âOver my dead body!â
Elias pushed past him and left.
Elias changed his clothes at home before heading to the hospital. He was worried that if Ash woke up and saw him covered in blood, it would scare her.
As he entered the hospital, his phone rang.
He glanced at the screen, and it was another unknown call from abroad. Thus, he hung up the call immediately.
Elias took the lift up. Meanwhile, his assistant was waiting at the entrance. âMr Undvike, the person has been brought here.â
Elias showed no emotion as he walked toward the ICU, where his men were holding Ashleyâs aunt, Gianna, at the entrance.
The moment Gianna saw him, she charged at him and yelled, âElias! Where have you taken my son? Have you no respect for the law? Do you think I wonât call the police and have you arrested?â
Eliasâ lips curled into a sarcastic smile. âGianna, youâre so legalistic.â
He grabbed her by the collar and slammed her against the wall. Anger flared in his eyes as he said in a demanding tone, âHow dare you team up with Sadie to harm Ash?â
âI donât understand what youâre talking about! I havenât done anything!â Gianna protested.
Elias smiled. âIf you werenât involved, would I be here confronting you?â
Gianna gritted her teeth. âWhat do you want?â
âI heard they brought you from the church. Since youâre so devout, kneel here and bow in front of the ICU door. You will kneel here as long as Ash is unconscious,â Elias said.
Gianna came from a family of lawyers. She couldnât take this humiliation.
âElias, youâ¦â She tried to protest.
âItâs alright. If you donât kneel, donât expect to see your son again,â Elias said.
Elias silenced Giannaâs protests. She glared at him in anger as his men forced her to kneel and bow.
Elias didnât spare her another look. He changed into a sterile suit in the decontamination room before entering the ICU. He wanted to stay with Ashley and watch over her.
He held her cold hand and called out, âHoney, donât sleep. Wake up, honey. Ashâ¦â
Yet, Ashley continued to lay still and unresponsive.
48 hours passed, but no miracle happened. Ashley remained unconscious, and the ICUâs complex equipment continued to monitor Ashleyâs vitals. Suddenly, an alarm went off at night, and Elias panicked. He didnât know what had gone wrong.
He worriedly called out her name. âAsh! Ash!â
Doctors and nurses quickly arrived and rushed Ashley into the emergency room. Elias gripped Ashleyâs hand tightly and followed the stretcher. His eyes were bloodshot.
âAsh! Ash, donât leave me! Please donât leave me aloneâ¦â he said.
The door to the emergency room slammed shut, and the nurses blocked his way. Elias released Ashleyâs hand before the door closed.
Eliasâs expectations had reduced over time. Initially, he wanted both the mother and the child to be safe. Then, he only wished for Ashley to be well.
Now, he just wanted her to stay alive. As long as she was alive, even if she never woke up, he could hold onto some hope. He was worried that she might not make it and leave him behind.
Jaydenâs foreign specialist had just arrived. After the doctors had changed into their surgical attire, they entered the operating room.
Elias waited outside the operating room. His eyes were empty and hollow.
He numbingly wondered when the last time he waited outside an operating room for Ashley was.
