Chapter 64
Winning Her Heart Back
Chapter 64 Venting Anger
Emelie remained composed. âI heard you recently had a son, whoâs apparently adorable. I wonder if I could have the honor of seeing him.â
Without responding. Jeremy got into his car and left.
But instead of going home, he headed to a hotel to attend a salon event being held there.
With her status as the head secretary of Cloudex Corporation, Emelle naturally gained entry. However, she had no interest in mingling with others and found a corner to sit quietly.
After the event ended and seeing that Jeremy was about to leave, Emelie approached him to get him to sign the supplementary agreement.
Well, even if he didnât sign it, it didnât matter. She could come back tomorrow. It would be better if he stalled her for four days.
After all, she would leave the company in four days.
Emelie was casually flipping through a magazine when she suddenly noticed a commotion nearby.
She stood up and walked over to see Jeremy arguing with a woman.
The woman didnât care about the occasion and shouted at Jeremy, âJeremy Ramsey! You sold company assets! I hope you die miserably!â
Her voice was loud, and everyone at the salon event heard it, gathering around to watch.
Jeremyâs expression was extremely ugly.
Emelie whispered to the person next to her, âWho is she?â
âMr. Ramseyâs sisterâinâlaw, a famous shrew.â
Emelie quickly recalled that during yesterdayâs contract discussion, Cindy mentioned Jeremyâs younger brother.
After Cindy brought up his brother, Jeremy resorted to violence.
It seemed that the two brothers were in competition. Jeremy had the upper hand at the moment, which was why his brotherâs wife dared to make a scene in public.
And Jeremy seemed to be at a loss about how to deal with this woman.
After some thought, Emelie took out her phone and aimed the camera at Jeremy and the woman.
She then loudly announced, âLook, everyone. This is our salon event tonight. Itâs a really high standard, and the buffet is luxurious with unlimited servings of salmon, escargots, foie gras, and caviar.â
She quickly brought her phone close to the womanâs face. Seeing that, the woman quickly covered her face.

âWho are you? What are you doing?â
âMe? Iâm liveâstreaming. Itâs so lively tonight. The viewership will surely be high,â Emelie said with a smile.
The womanâs face changed slightly. âYou captured all of that just now?â
âOf course.â
The woman scolded, âDelete it! Delete it now! Who allowed you to film me? This is an Invasion of my privacy! Iâll sue you!â
âThis is a public place. The organizer didnât say we couldnât livestream, and I was filming the food, not you.
âWhich law did I violate? It was your loud voice that attracted everyoneâs attention. Whoâs to blame? Besides, this is a livestream. How can I delete it?â
The woman was speechless. ââ¦â
Emelie calmly said, âIf youâre afraid of being seen in a bad light, I think itâs better for you to leave on your own than waste your breath telling me to turn my livestream off.â
With that, she picked up her phone again. âEveryone, look. Whatâs this? Itâs a gradeâA steakâ¦â
The woman stomped her foot and left in a huff. It was only then that Emelie turned off her phone.
Jeremy loosened his tie, still not recovering from the shock. âYou were live streaming?â
No
just taking selfies. I was just scaring her.â Emelie smiled.
Jeremy wasnât interested in staying at the salon event any longer.
After all, he wasnât deaf to everyoneâs comments about him. He walked straight out of the hall.
He sat on a chair at the entrance and opened a bottle of mineral water.
Emelie followed him out, holding a document in her hand.
Jeremy glanced at it and said, âYouâre not responsible for this contract. Why did you go to such lengths?â
âRegardless of whoâs responsible, this is the task given to me by my superior, so I have to handle it well.â
After saying that, Emelie started analyzing.
âMr. Ramsey, the die is cast. You havenât suffered any losses working with us, right?
âIf you donât sign this supplementary agreement today, Iâll continue to pester you tomorrow until you do.â Jeremyâs tone was cold, as if he urgently needed a channel to vent his anger.
âIâm not making things difficult for you. I just canât let Cindyâs betrayal slide.
âHow about this? Make up some lies to bring her over
