My apologise. Sorry if its confusing at first, but it WILL all make sense
IN THE END.]
Another crackle of lighting flashes upon the eerie dark institution of Northwood.
Everyone in the massive school in the jungle of a cafeteria was having their usual dinner, chatter of fellow students, some employees and heavy patter of rain pouring down on the long Gothic style windows as the night goes on. A restless thunder storm passing by.
Cyrus unlike the others sat alone in the far end of the lunchroom, Maylin had to handle two sectors the Gammas and Silvers also attending some other officer responsibilities. So she told Cyrus to go on without her, while Emmett took a shower. No one sat with him tonight, though who was he to tell people otherwise and have anyone be forced to eat with him? Sure, it's a little lonely without friends but Cyrus has gotten used to being alone, isolated, solitary in himself and this shouldn't bother him.
Yet it does, which made it much much worse the more he dwells on thinking, it always had been one of his weaknesses.
The thought of being alone both gave him a sense of security and distortion.
Loneliness has that effect on anyone.
Because he actually liked having at least someone around, even Cyrus isn't immune to wanting a normal life.
Like any ordinary high school student.
He's gonna be here for a few years and Cyrus thought it would be great, if he can get along peacefully with Al. The black haired boy didn't like that he hit the Alpha sector rank officer, but Al was straight up harassing him and getting too close for comfort back then. What would anybody else have done in his situation? Punch him obviously, days went by and he was expecting to be called in the principal's office about the incident.
Then being told he's expelled.
However, it hadn't happened.
It was always on his mind; Al.
Al didn't report anything, which Cyrus thought benefited the both of them but more so for Al's sake, because he started shit. It also helped Cyrus understand the guy somewhat, he has a mental disorder which explains his sudden weird impulsive behaviours.
And Al did apologize to him after all. He accepted it. Because, it's not like Cyrus didn't have a bit of screw loses himself. That's why he wanted to try being more nice and be friends with his roommate, maybe even just two civil people who won't fight over the smallest of things as roommates.
Though, he knows it was dangerous.
To get attached to people, whoever it may be. They might only hurt him too.
And Cyrus is afraid to do it again.
He's hurt way to many already.
Cyrus is scared he can't stop.
He knew how much he'd react badly if anybody unintentionally did something to set him off, and it didn't matter if it was done on purpose or not. Cyrus could become agitated and violent recalling his trauma in a matter of seconds, which the quiet boy gradually wants to stop from happening again.
He really hates it.
Remembering it all.
It haunts him on end.
He broke bones, twisted limbs and bit off flesh, even put someone in a short comatose. All results of him getting into fights or sometimes people just touched him by chance. It was that critically detriment, Cyrus knew; he's seriously dangerous. But it was his previous attempts to be friendly that made him feel alienated. The few people who befriended Cyrus, didn't last very long and stayed away the next day or pretended they didn't know him at all. After experiencing the violent side of him, they all decided he isn't worth it.
A sad reality to him.
Where everyone will leave.
Him. Abandoned and forgotten.
People---the world taught him this.
What makes this any different? It isn't. He knows people will inevitably hear rumours about his troublemaker fame sooner than later. It always happens.
Maybe they already knew, that's why not a single person wants to sit with me? Cyrus's shoulders rolls inwardly; sad.
Cyrus's thoughts roamed deeper.
I shouldn't have hoped to be treated or less feared by everyone. They only see a troublemaker, useless, cold, waste, bad.
He was usually right.
That everyone will only see a demon of Cyrus. Not a struggling young boy who tries hard to be functioning and good.
He doesn't want to fight anymore.
I'll manage when that happens, I've always had. What I FEEL...is irrelevant anyway. As long as I don't hurt anyone again. That's all that matters to me. Cyrus reminded himself and sighed, he wasn't going finishing his dinner now. He's lost his appetite, feeling miserable.
CRRRAAACCCKKK!
A horrific loud thunder strikes and it resonates in the school, the power goes out; it's pure pitch black. Screams from around the room are heard, something crashes to the ground. "Oh god blood!"
(Switch on your phone's flashlight or torch, the frightening part is HERE... MUWHAHAHAHAHAHA! :3 )
All werewolves could smell it.
Fresh and dripping easily.
It came from a human.
"Why? what happened?" Shane is the first to spring into action, using his phone to see what happened. He can't let the human students know him and others were werewolves, so the rest acted like humans would. "Who's hurt? Is someone injured? Please talk to me."
Cyrus's onyx irises immediately sees someone on the floor, he takes his phone out and flashes the torch light getting Shane's attention. "Here!" He shouts, his voice came out rough tight resulting in scaring some nearby girls.
He sounded like a ghostly wail.
Shane comes over lifting the student to stand up. "What happened to you?"
"I slipped when the lights went out, I think my nose is bleeding." Emmett says half moaning in pain as Maylin comes in, then jogged up to Emmett's side worried. "Did the lighting hit the school's electric tower down?"
Jessie snorts. "Uh what do you think?" Maylin was about to respond when the doors slammed themselves wide open.
Miranda entered the cafeteria. "Bad news, powers out. Not just here, even in the small town close by. Officers! get everyone back to their dormitories!"
"Auntie, Emmett needs to be treated. He slipped and his nose is bleeding; fast."
She nodded. "Where's Nurse Nick?"
"I think he went out to run errands." Jessie replied, Miranda chews her lip.
"Fine, we can't wait for his ass. Ernie and I need to check the electric tower and call someone over to fix the thing. Shane take Emmett to the clinic, you know how to treat a nosebleed right?"
"I do, but I don't have keys to open the door." Rainier then steps in. "Here, I'll handle the Silver sector don't worry."
Rainier gives Shane a replica key to use.
The principal frowns. "Shane. Where the bloody hell exactly is your brother?"
"I...I don't know auntie. Al came back later than usual from training today."
Shane tried to tap in mind link with him, however he sense the strong wall that blocked him from talking to The Alpha. Miranda and others noticed it as well, nobody could communicate with Al and he didn't say wherever he is.
She turned to Rainier and Chase they shake their heads, Miranda muttered.
"We have to find him, all three electric fuses need to be switched back up too."
"Haaa...I..." A shaking hand rises.
Heavy breathing becomes noticed. No one speaks, hearing it within the night.
Getting closer, closer, closer.
Preying.
Anxious.
Lurking.
A light shines over a blank face, and looks at everyone paralyzing them all, seeing the unblinking dead expression.
"I'll help look for Al." Cyrus whispers, they still appeared shocked because he looked terrifying, along with the faint smell of death lingering on the frighting boy. Who just wanted to help around.
"He talked again!"
Miranda swallowed hard. "Yes, Cyrus does talk Chase, now let's get moving. Uh...and sure you can also help Cyrus."
Even the Head Luna didn't notice she was holding her breath, hearing this strange timid boy's raspy cold voice.
Saber was growling inside her head, feeling her humans goosebumps all over rise, this was unusual for Miranda.
Shane then connected with Chase. {Hey, Chase. Can you come with me to the clinic I also have something to get there.}
The Delta smirked. {Why? Still scared of the dark Shane? you're an Alpha for gods sake. Nothing should scare you.} Shane pouts his young face. {I'm not scared of the dark DELTA, and that's an order too.}
Shane threw back; smiling.
(That's my boy! I'm proud!)
Chase then wrapped Emmett's other arm over his shoulder. "I'll go with Shane, my sector can go back on their own they're all tired anyway." Rainier side eyes Chase. {Meet me after, I don't trust you walking around freely now.}
Chase scrunched up his features, but since he and Rainier are still in the not so best of terms The Delta agreed. {Fine, it's not like I had other plans.}
-------------
Miranda told the rest of the employees to go back to there own quarters as well, she called for an electrician but the guy says the storm will make it hard for anyone to get to Northwood now.
The Head Luna was in the middle of the dark hallway, her phone in hand.
"Christ then fine, I'll come pick you up from there if I have to. Get your gear ready by then." She hung up and her expression goes alerted, sensing...it.
Bubbles.
She froze in her tracks.
{SHIT-SHIT-SHIT ERNIE! WHERE ARE YOU!?} Miranda demands via mind link. She had a bad feeling about this.
{I'm heading over to the tower, why?}
{How many Rogues are inside the red room this week!?} Ernie paled, because of the direct order he got hours ago.
{OH CRAP! More than thirty plus! your nephew asked me to get MORE hours ago, because he was pissed off about something. Their cages! where's Al!?}
The Head Luna was now running.
{Moon Goddess, if he's still in the there and the power is out that means ALL the Rogues cages are unlocked, and the back up power will only comeback once all the fuse boxes are switch on. He can't take them all at once, what kind did Al ask for?} Ernie replied.
{High Rank Rogues.}
Miranda felt her blood grow cold.
If those High Rank Rogues manage to somehow overpower her nephew and escape the red room that's hidden deep within this joint, they could get to her students. She also knows, that most of the werewolf employees aren't great at fighting against deadly stronger Rogues.
{FUCKING HELL!} She tapped in with The Younger Alpha. {Shane! Are you already inside the school's clinic?} He knew something was wrong. {Not yet, why? Is something the matter auntie?}
{Get there faster! And when you do lock the doors. The power's dead and Al had earlier ordered Ernie to get High Rank Rogues to beat up.} Shane then frowns, realizing how dire this situation meant for Al and the rest of their school. {My brother can't possibly take all of those High Rank Rogues if that's the case...c-can he? I mean, remember what happened the last time Al took on that many?}
{This is your reckless older brother we're talking about honey, it depends on just HOW much ticked off Al is right now to take them all on. Delta, are you listing?} Chase answered. {Yes Head Luna.}
{Pick up the pace and lock yourselves in the clinic; NOW!} Chase turns to Shane. {Shane run and don't stop until we're inside the school's clinic, alright.} The Younger Alpha nods. {Wait Chase, what about Emmett? He can't keep up with our speed. We can't leave him behind here.}
The Delta let's go of Emmett's arm then picks him up easily, bridal style. Which the small boy didn't see coming. "What the hell do you think you're doing!? Put me down! right now!" Good thing it was dark and nobody saw his cheeks go pink.
Though if both werewolves even paid attention to Emmett's expression they'd see how flustered the human boy was.
Chase rolled his brown irises. "Relax I'm not gonna try and feel you up in front of a Alpha sector rank officer shorty." Emmett glanced to Shane hoping for an explanation about this. "What is going on officer Shane?"
"U-um...I" The Younger Alpha's forest green eyes looked left and right. On a regular circumstance Shane wouldn't approve of this, especially with Chase doing so. Yet The Delta is the fastest one in their ranks. Shane improvises. "We need to hurry up! Yes that's it! You're bleeding badly Emmett, and we have to run immediately before it gets worse. Let's go get you treated!"
With that they were off.
Emmett kicking and struggling in the embarrassing situation, as Chase sprints quickly passing the dim hallways Shane on his tail, all three boys hadn't notice it.
A pair of eyes were observing them.
(I'd seriously draw this funny scene but I don't got time as of the moment, sorry. Here's a scary picture. Sleep well. :3)
--------------
Ernie links in with Rainier, Jessie and Maylin. {Officers, we have a situation. I need you all on guard tonight we could be facing a High Rank Rogue invasion.}
The Vice Beta explained everything, in regards about them being ready to fight.
{Understood, leave everything to me.}
Rainier still tried to talk to his Alpha yet it was really hard, the mental block Al placed was the one he uses, when he's really upset and wants to be left alone.
The Beta huffed out in frustration, of all the times Al had to be unavailable is right now? When he's needed the most.
He tapped in with his little sister.
{Maylin, I'm going to look for our Alpha in the red room. I need you and Jessie to work together and look after the Silver sector. They can't know about the Rogues situation or any of this you understand?}
{WHAT!? No! I'll look for Al, I don't want anything to do with that spoiled Omega!}
{Maylin, can we not argue about this. I need your help.} Rainier sternly stated.
{Please put aside your differences okay.}
The Gamma sneers. {No. But since it's you who's asking; fine. Just don't expect me to get along with Jessie, because if she thinks I've forgotten about it; I haven't.}
Rainier sighs. {Thank you, do keep me updated if something happens Maylin. You're also to look after the other ranks.}
{Yeah sure, whatever.} She was going to cut their mind link when Maylin recalls something. {Wait...OH SHIT! RAINIER!}
Or rather, someone.
{What? What is it?} The Beta asked.
{Cyrus! He's still somewhere around the campus searching for Al remember!?}
The Gamma and The Beta now both had remembered, at the exact same time...
Cyrus went off on his own.
(Have fun going to the bathroom now...and watch your backs)
