Chapter 23

Myself; Alone And Afraid.

The Alpha's Addiction [BxB]

[Note : Someone made fan art of our Shane 😍👌😘

Thank you : brokesugardaddy for this fan art ❤️

(that boy deserves all the love in the world) if you guys have any fan art or just wanna say hey send them to me in my inbox I check them often. Please play the music i attached in this chapter thank you for being so patient with me. (Update; 😭 the YouTube link I attached doesn't work for some reason and I'm crying, I'll try attaching it again)

He looks so good in all of these, I couldn't pick which one I like the best, but I pick the one in the suit from chapter 01 although I imagined him in a white suit this looks too gorgeous on our little Alpha. (Shit, he be smiling and being surrounded by girls to dance with him while he blushes because Shane doesn't know what to say as he is a stuttering boy sometimes.)

this book isn't being discontinued, I'm so sorry for not updating last Saturday (I hate breaking my own schedule too and leaving ya'll hanging) but my entire city is under calamity, we really took a disastrous hit. Mud and water are still in the house, some of the other residents now resort to begging for help on the streets (it's heartbreaking, the government is doing what they can) and everything we own that sat too long in the water has turned into trash basically, and I've been running around as a volunteer medical staff in the evacuation centers. Sleep has become...unfamiliar to me lately, but I'll be alright.]

"You may be the next..."

"Did you ev---er think as a hearse goes by, that..."

"You may be the next to die?"

His fingers danced in aline to the worn out keyboards.

Did you ever think as a hearse goes by,

That you may be the next to die?

They wrap you up in a big white sheet

From your head down to your feet.

And the worms crawl in and the worms crawl out,

In your stomach and out your snout,

And your eyes fall out and your teeth decay---

And that is the end of a perfect day.

His expression was as cold as a corpse. Remembering the tune of the little piece, the thunderclap keeps getting in the way. This catastrophic storm seems to have plans to go on for a while. Thinking this wasn't going anywhere the male stood up not making a sound, his movements calculated and he silently left the music classroom. Waving casually farewell to the grand piano as though it was his secret old friend.

Walking into the empty hallways everyone right now is likely eating thier dinner in the lunch room he thought, and that's when the piercing loud struck of lighting meet the school's electric tower, killing the electricity supply in the entire campus.

An excited smile adorns on him.

Seems Moon Goddess is favoring us tonight. Then a wave of mischievous aura came crossing through him inside his mind link. How delightful, someone's come to play with us Bubbles.

Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go hunting.

I

Hate

That

Most

Of

All

It looped around again and again within The Alpha's brain, similar to a broken caset tape. Everything was just going splendid until that incident happened with the Silver sector officer. Al had gotten too irritated he decided to leave Cyrus by himself, stomping back into the building.

It was a good thing they were the last ones outside and not a single person was in the way, Al would've punched anyone who even came in his line of vision; he's boiling.

Because the person who's contradicting him is his mate.

Cyrus followed until he saw Al enter a hallway that only had steel double doors at the end. It automatically opened wide before Al as he angrily entered in, the younger boy thought it was best to leave him be to sort himself out.

Al then ordered The Vice Beta to transfer some High Rank Rouges for him to use in blowing off steam, because if he didn't someone else will pay the price and no creature has been strong enough to withstand an Alpha's fury; for long.

Al specifically asked for them to be collarless.

He just entered the enclosed high security red room, tiles were cleaned a polished white but it won't be the case. Not after The Alpha was finished. Al impatiently waited until Ernie told him the scheduled death execution High Rank Rogues are here. He need this, to conced his bloodthirst. Anything to keep him distracted.

Cyrus despise us. And it's all that stupid fucking humans fault! We should have slashed out Emmett's throat, while his entire sector watched. Someone should be made of an example to NEVER cross with a NIGHTWALKER ALPHA! Grim argued.

Al hadn't said anything.

The Alpha was notorious for giving his prey a slow death.

Yet today Al's temper wasn't gonna be holding him back.

The moment the first batch of werewolves came in.

He shifted and digged into his full killing spree.

All the High Rank Rogues also shifted then.

The Wolf charges through growling out.

Grim's sharp canines gutted out the closest werewolf's jugular chewing off the meat between his teeth, the Rouge began to bleed out but refused to go down without a fight. They quickly clawed at The Wolf's shoulder, this had only provoked him further. Grim glares at the foolish Rouge, then scratches and racks his claws along the Rouge's exposed wound he bit harder again In the nape area, the others halted in trying to gang up on The Wolf, as seeing how fast the body went limp from Grim's brutal bite, hearing the satisfying crack of bones and a dying whimper. He toyed with the dead body like a rag doll, Grim's golden irises now flashes on the others, his blood covered dark lips grinning. Eyes clouded with only murder.

Scared? You fucking should be.

----------------

Al and Grim continued their Rogue massacre parade until The Wolf was feeling he was too invested in killing, and his human was barely there, so Grim encouraged Al's wrath.

You know, we really should have just killed him already Al, it's becoming a problem how Cyrus is swaying your mood.

Grim felt Al's jaw lock itself, and his muscles constriction in the mere thought of even harming Cyrus. the blonde boy knew The Wolf was right. This is one of the reasons Al doesn't want a mate; he feels like he's being controlled.

Being emotionally manipulated by a stranger, Al doesn't even have any idea of who he was before. No background information yet or a single danm clue what Cyrus will do, if he finds out their mates. He could easily have Al on his knees and it didn't help that the strange boy doesn't talk, has a silver neck tattoo, which will literally kill The Alpha if he tries to mark Cyrus. Al hasn't found anything useful regarding that on the Internet, He also doesn't have a freaking surname according to what Mrs. Briston told him.

Cyrus is unpredictable.

It makes Al really uneasy because he can't tame him, can't know what Cyrus is thinking even though it always looks like he's focused 24/7, Al can't order him around as an Alpha. Cyrus seems to behave like a human. But he also smells of murdered werewolves, at least that's what others described him which is impossible if he's just a normal person, this only points to him being a Rogue.

A trained Rogue set to eliminate Al.

Seeing his human's thoughts Grim whispered to Al's mind.

He's not even aware of the consequences of his actions. Al, that quiet boy could do so much more than sway you. Cyrus can become a distraction, a leverage for your enemies too.

Al's pointed teeth were bearing out now, he's seething and his knuckles cracking in the logic Grim was presenting to him. He was right, Cyrus's mere words were the reason he is feeling outrageous and destructive, and Al despised that he could become depressed with just this argument only.

Grim slipped in. He's becoming your weakness Al. We can't have something that'll break US apart again...Think about it. If we bang Cyrus and get it over with, we can take care of his corpse...and nobody would EVER figure out he was even our soul mate. The Wolf reminds. We should depose---

Al weakly whispers back. But...I-I don't want to...

Grim becomes aggressive, hissing angrily. You've already screwed me over with Aurora. Do NOT make me feel like that again. The Alpha was triggered now, and he joined in the sensation of going savage. Mutilating Rogues cruelly.

Grim breathes in; triumphant.

The Wolf noticed, Shane and others who were trying to link in with Al but Grim thickened their mental block.

Grim was fueling his fire and Al just didn't want to talk to anyone right now, not without him breaking the necks of those who even entered the red room. There is only one clear goal The Alpha had in mind; kill, become the source of pain for these High Rank Rogues. Doesn't matter if it hurts. Al needed this, to feed his thrist in slaughter; blood.

He just doesn't get it. I HAVE to treat the Silver and Omega sectors that way. Grim only nods as his human vents off.

Don't worry, I understand Al. If we don't expose those shit bags to harsh conditions the Omega and Silver ranks won't last a minute in the New moon quarter tournament. It will bring shame to your pack's name. I mean, even our Omegas are only permitted to participate because they can take hits.

Yeah, if they couldn't they're just good for impregnating.

Uh-huh, baby making machines basically. Grim agrees.

Grim senses the effects of negative emotions in Al.

Cyrus didn't even bother to comfort you; us. Theoretically, he might not even know I exist...unless his wolf is a Rogue. And refuses to honor OUR authority. Al stitched eyebrows lossesed up slightly. Rewinding his memories to the last part of their conversation with the rebellious Zeta officer.

Decide what you really are...A leader or dictator.

Al has gone this far and hasn't really consider what he's doing with the position he possess. It was power, Al loved to have unlimited authority over everyone else; to be so untouchable. None has directly laid it down to him before, what kind of ruler he actually wants to be regarding his pack.

Until Cyrus literally slapped it to his face, what an asshole he is when it comes to treating the people around him. It dawns to Al that...He's confused, between which role Al wants to be seen by his people; to be feared or respected.

All he knows is that...he craves every single ounce of it.

Control.

Power.

Authority.

He exhaled, feeling tired from fighting High Rank Rogues.

Al glances his surroundings; decapitated limbs and blood.

The Alpha sunk down into himself. Sensing it once more.

Hollowness.

Why, dammit...

Al thought to himself.

Why is it not enough anymore...

It's as if on cue, his whole world becomes enveloped in complete darkness, trapping Al. And the clang of cages is heard, setting the rest of them free to escape. Both him and the Rogues realized; it's one Alpha vs. All of them.

(Pst, this is the part where you panic and curse my name)

------------------

Miranda storms into her office and goes to her desk, she reaches underneath it pressing a button. The the wall of book shelfs then moves on it's own, The Head Luna walks to it revealing a closet full of weapons inside glass cases that are designed to hunt down werewolves. Miranda types in a complex passcode and an eye scanner then runs across her hazel orbs, the A.I. Makes a beep noise and greets her. "Access granted, Welcome Mrs. Harrison."

"Gimme three rounds of Wolfsbane tranquillisers and two hand guns. Also..." She hesitated but commands anyway. "Ten silver bullets about 15% that'll knock them out long enough." Seconds later the items are in front of her as she loads up, The Head Luna receives a frightening message.

{Head Luna, she's not here...I've looked everywhere.}

Ernie's voice sounded hopeless. And she knows that he'll only tell her this if The Vice Beta had actually looked everywhere in the whole room even going outside to check.

He said. {She's either missing or kidnapped, I'm sorry.}

That's when Miranda's eyes turned into gold, feeling Saber wanting to take over having them shift and search the whole school. Yet Miranda controlled herself, she won't be able to handle the situation if she shifts and goes onto a rampage, her students and nephew needs her right now.

{Okay, Okay, Okay...just fuck. Ernie go around the campus and take down any escaped High Rank Rogues as quietly as you can alright. I'll do the same, I still can't connect with Al. So my guess is he's either unconscious or too busy fighting them. And this black out is definitely working for his favor.}

Ernie's expression became worried.

{He's hunting down right now, isn't he?}

Miranda replied. {It's in his blood.}

------------------

"Come on, hurry up with that door." Chase complains to The Younger Alpha, who knows something horrible must be happening because of the negative aura his sensing in his older brother's mind link. "Can you like maybe put me down already! We're just outside the school's clinic here!"

The Delta swung Emmett over his shoulder and asked.

{Shane, he's talking again. Just one slap in the ass please!}

Shane looks at Chase disapprovingly.

{Of course not, that's...} He trails off unsure.

Dagger decides to insert in the conversion.

Too easy? I mean, yeah sure layering spanking isn't our go to but we can start Emmett on the clinic bed. Shane's mouth drops, as The Delta smirked. {Ya both could take turns babe~} (Why...Chase, why can't you just stick to one partner. Your making it hard for me to stir your fucking ship dammit!)

Emmett frowns, smacking Chase's back. He whispered to the playboy. "You better stop squeezing my inner thigh, bastard!"

He just squeezed harder and Emmett had to bite his own tongue, scolding himself that he shouldn't get turned on.

Shane's dark green eyes saw what Chase was doing then.

{Chase that's sexual harassment! Stop it!} The Delta just couldn't take The Younger Alpha seriously, not when he's obviously bright like a burning Christmas tree right now.

{Aw it's like your asking me not to breathe Shane.}

Shane scolded. {I'm asking you to follow orders Delta, it's that simple to...} He goes redder. {Not grope Emmett now.}

Emmett bit his lower lip, feeling Chase's fingers circle on smoothly, he knew this was making the Silver officer want to moan for more. But Emmett would shot himself if let's The Delta or The Young Alpha officers hear him moan out.

Chase and Dagger were enjoying the show.

Dagger was getting off on feeling Emmett's thigh.

And Chase was ecstatic, seeing Shane; an Alpha blushing.

Shane is highly inexperienced in dating, let alone sex. And Chase's brown eyes glint in excitement seeing Shane's slim back...going slowly downwards to his adorable perky butt.

{Not gonna lie here Alpha, spanking Emmett and Ya might wore me out fast...especially since Emmett's kinda...thicc. And you've still got some baby fat back there.} He grinned shamelessly.

The Delta teased more.

{I wonder...which one of you will take me all in the fastest?}

(*Packs my suitcase and sunscreen* see ya'll in hell guys!)

The Younger Alpha turns his attention back to unlocking the door, knowing it would only encourage Chase more if he let's him see how much he's cheeks are blazing to his ears. Shane knows he's a player, and a skillful one at that, also the last time he checked himself; he's a straight guy.

However, he knows that didn't matter to Chase.

Click

The door opened.

{Halle-flipping-lujah! I should've just kicked the door in if Chase didn't stopping talking on about spanking Emmett's behind} Shane forgot, he was still linked in with The Delta.

{Aw, don't be jealous sweet cheeks.} Chase snickers, Shane goes even more redder and runs off to get the first aid kit. While feeling sorry he has to leave Emmett alone with The Delta.

"Put me down already!" Emmett exclaimed.

Chase strolls over to the clinic's empty bed, and to the short boy's surprise. The Delta actually sets him gently on the mattress, they then made eye contact and Chase winks at Emmett, leaning to his right head side. "Don't get weird on me, I wouldn't dare throw your back on this bed..." He husked out seductively. "Unless you start begging me shorty."

{You can't RUN forever, CJ.} The Delta shots up; shocked.

Someone suddenly connected with him via mind link.

Chase, now understood what their situation really is.

Emmett was just as starteled seeing an unfamiliar sight of Northwood's infamous player become dead serious now,

Shane brusts in from the back room, The Delta senses it.

They exchanged knowing glances; Bubbles is here.

----------------

"Doesn't anybody ever listen to simple instructions?" The Beta switches eyeing the two female sector officers. Jessie had her arms crossed, an expression of distaste clear as day. Meanwhile Maylin was holding a real stubborn look.

Hail can't even begin to be annoyed at how Peanuts can't seem to convince her human to be reasonable and wise.

Yet knowing Gammas were risk takers plus protective, can she actually not back up Maylin and just sit in the corner.

The Gamma had explained to her brother that she told the elder werewolf employees to watch all the sector ranks and students after she realised Cyrus could be in danger.

"Cyrus is probably getting lost the more we wait here and do nothing. I'm he's only friend currently and I'm helping to look for him." Rainier runs a hand through his features.

She has a point, as much as I hate to admit it Rainier.

"And you couldn't even get her to think about this? I said you both should work together." Rainier gazes at The Omega, she counters. "Why do you think I'm standing here? I did try to talk sense into your step-sister. She's the one who kept on pacing and being worried over the new scholarship weirdo." Peanuts growls at Jessie and her wolf; Rose copies. That's when Hail finally had enough.

Rainier's wolf growled at them.

In the name of Moon Goddess! You two are unbelievable! As your Beta's wolf I'm disappointed. When this is done, you'll both need to be sermoned and do laps too. Rainier knew he can't send them away. Not after Shane informed him that the High Rank Rogue invasion isn't their only ordeal now.

The Beta decided to take the smartest option he has.

"Alright, since you're here anyways. Help me search for Cyrus around the campus. Don't leave my side and don't go wondering off on your own; that's not an instructions it's my order, understand?" Both girls nodded to Rainier.

"And when you do spot anything suspicious tell me. But I'll be the only one to go into the red room to see if our Alpha is still there. Okay---" Rainier cuts himself off the second Jessie unexpectedly collapses forward her eyes blanking.

Rainier held his hands out for her as Maylin balances The Omega's weight as to not fall, Jessie is the pack's only Seer.

She heaves in, seeing a blurred vision of the future.

The Omega sees Cyrus...he's running in the dark.

A flash of light goes by, he drops his cellphone.

Then Cyrus glares back to who's with him.

He's waving his arms around frantically.

His heart is pounding; he's terrified but...

Jessie snaps her head to Rainier; smiling.

"Quién eres tú?"

---------------

Cyrus turned another hallway, the sound of the rambling thunderstorm and cold atmosphere made him shiver, this feeling made him remember how things were back in the orphanage. On nights with grumpy weather, he'd wrap the thin blanket around himself similar to a caterpillar and try to sleep the uneasiness or ignore the scary things he hears outside his shed. Yet, he's experienced way worse stuff than terrible storms and being alone in the darkness.

He thought to himself as Cyrus walked.

This school seems bigger with all the lights out, I should've asked Maylin to come with me. But she was given orders to bring her sector back to the dormitories. Besides, I wasn't doing anything and I last saw where Al went off before this.

His phone's light lead him down a flight of stairs and walk towards the locker rooms, he was passing by when a small sniff made Cyrus halt. He turned around and squinted in the shadowy locker room, straining his sharp hearing Cyrus knows that wasn't his imagination just now. He waited. Again, a audible sniff coming from...somewhere. But where is it exactly?

Should I check it out? Maybe another student is here. Cyrus entered the locker room, it's mostly quite aside from the falling of heavy rain on the windows. What should I do?

He didn't want to speak, and Cyrus has no idea who's here in the locker room with him. Perhaps someone got scared of the electricity going off? and they can't see very well in the black out. They might need his help or something, Cyrus knows he can't just walk away without doing anything too.

He knows what it feels like to be abandoned.

He calmly made his way further to the boy's locker room, Cyrus shines his phone in every aile he comes across with hoping he'd find whoever is crying, the more he listened for anyone the more Cyrus could detect whimpering and hiccups. They were so muffled, as if trying to be collected.

This is getting harder, I need to call out to them but I don't want to. His eyebrows scrunched together. Oh wait, music.

He frowned. Shit, I only got 6% battery life left. Whatever, I'll just charge it again when I get back to the dormitories.

Cyrus stops and goes to the music player, picking a song in his phone. This should get whoever's attention to find him, He was going to press play when suddenly it started.

"Uhwaaaa...m-momma...uhwaaa..." A tiny toddlers voice.

Cyrus froze. That's not a student; it's a child. A little girl.

Now he really can't just up and leave a kid all alone here.

He dashes in the huge room, looking around and listening for the small weeping. Cyrus shrugged off the gut feeling of uncertainty, because if he was right and this child is here by herself, Cyrus at least had to bring her to the principal's office. It was getting colder, he's worried the girl could be freezing in a corner and nobody noticed her.

Where are you? He wondered, then Cyrus hears it again.

"Uhwaaaa...Uhwaaaa...Uhwaaaa." Cyrus ran faster.

I'm getting closer, just hold on now. He thought.

Shlk!

He accidentally slipped from running too much, the floors were likely wet if not then mopped. Cyrus lands hard on the ground, however he used his right elbow to lessen the impact. But now as the black haired boy stood back up, Cyrus lost his phone in the dark, it's impossible to find it.

He grunts while rubbing his right elbow. Just great.

The young boy soon adjusted his eyesight in the night.

Cyrus then hears the cry once again, only a few feet away.

He convinced himself it was better to go ahead, he's come this far and Cyrus could assist the little girl out of here. It be dangerous if she slipped and hit her head somewhere.

His onyx irises focused on anything that moved, walking silently as to not slip once more. almost there, I'm coming.

"Uhwaaaa..."

"Uhwaaaa..."

"Uhwaaaa..."

That's when he saw it, laying on the floor.

Cyrus paused in disbelief.

Glaring hard; confused.

He crept cautiously.

"Uhwaaaa..."

Cyrus picked up a small head from the ground; a baby's.

The kid must've lost their doll here. But where are they?

He squinted in the dark, rotating his head everywhere and waved the baby doll toy in his hand trying to find it's owner. Cyrus could still hear the whimpering somewhere.

Then a flash of lightning guides Cyrus's eyes to a body.

His onyx irises then spot a long trail of black hair and a hunched over figure it's back on the wall, they're hugging themselves and rocking back and forth he approaches the person. He was careful not to touch them and go too close than a few steps, because he'd get scared of what he might do to them once he's touched. Cyrus can't make out their face, it was so dim. But he was willing to be of help to them.

Cyrus wishes to ask if they were alright. Instead he held out the baby doll in front of the girl, they stopped crying and raised their head. The little girl's long dark hair was all over her face, that's what Cyrus assumed. As a shaking hand reaches forward, he tilted his head now noticing that something felt...out of place, not the situation or the girl.

But the smell of blood.

"Uhwaaaa..."

A strong grip clutches Cyrus's arm dropping the doll onto the ground and another flash of lightning had Cyrus meet the realization that this wasn't a child he was face to face with. He attempted to jerk himself free as the figure stood up, going higher and higher at six foot height; it's a boy.

He looked down on Cyrus.

Bored and a bit disappointed.

He expected way more than this.

Cyrus is now terrified because he's feeling it, he's heart is drumming in his ears, the urge to fight, hurt, kill anyone.

He dangled Cyrus by his arm, thinking to himself.

So you're the new Zeta officer, what a downer.

How underwhelming, might as well have our fun. Bubbles told his human. But first, I want a name to our prey, yes?

Smiling he spoke. "Quién eres tú?"
