Chapter 36
The Alpha's Addiction [BxB]
[Warning : Readers discretion Self-harming, Depression, Suicide, Sexual assault and some smut are present in this chapter.]
"It was nice meeting you, Emmett."
"We'd love to stay, but duty calls."
Chase glared at The Twin Gammas, they both shake Emmett's hands at the same time. He smiles. "The pleasures mine."
You sure you don't want to shift and run them off Northwood? Dagger asks.
Chase crossed his arms. Emmett and other human students would see us.
We can hear you. Skip and Rope said.
(Tate's wolf Skip and Izon's wolf Rope)
Then get lost, we still have to go train our sector for this year's tournament.
"I'll see them out; make sure they leave."
When all three Colemans left Emmett comments. "There's definitely drama with Chase and his siblings, though they're nothing like him. Except the touchy aspect." Shane looks up from his phone careful that Emmett doesn't see the photos Tate and Izon sent him.
Photos of the baby's head. He already sent a report to his auntie Miranda and she gave it to their grandmother.
"Yeah, because all four of them are half-brothers, they only share a mother. Sadly she died of birth complications." Emmett's eyes widened. "To Chase?"
Shane nodded. "I thought you knew."
"It's news to me." Emmett had only heard about Chase's playboy habits.
"Ah then please don't tell Chase I said that, and...why was he following you?"
"He was asking me to tutor him."
Shane is surprised. "that's news to me, usually he asks Rainier for help. I think it be great, since he doesn't have much friends aside from their trio group."
Emmett had always assumed, Chase had many friends since The Delta has a confident smile wherever he goes.
Shane scans the cafeteria and still no sign of Al. He isn't answering through mind link nor his phone, Shane sees Maylin and calls after her. "Maylin can you go see if my brother is alright. I need him for an emergency meeting."
"But blueberry pancakes are calling for me, why not ask Rainier?" Shane uses his Alpha charms and smiles. "He's occupied. Please, it's important."
He taps to Maylin. {Our grandmother wants to speak with Al. She's furious.}
"Okay!---just put away the puppy dog eyes." Shane sighs and stands up, he hasn't touched his breakfast. "I gotta go prepare the officers meeting room, tell him to go there." Shane frowned, reading messages from Ernie. "Shane, Al still has many unsigned documents we'll need for transportations and hotel accommodation, we need them for the New moon quarter tournament."
Shane thought. He also hasn't been training everybody like a pack these past weeks, I can't split myself in half.
He waves bye at the two. "Excuse me."
------------------------
"It's my responsibility to take care of you." Why Al's words felt comforting to him, he obviously meant it as being the principal's nephew Al is obligated to look after him. That's it. Nothing more. The end. Cyrus stood up and was about to leave, when his hearing distinguished Al cursing to himself.
Cyrus carefully leans himself near the bathroom door and sure enough, Al was muttered and Cyrus knew he must be hitting the wall with his fists.
Is he upset? Did I do that? I only said what I really felt, I'm not like others Al can just break on his bed and forget. I barely know anything about him, and I'm sure not attracted to him sexualy.
Cyrus scratches his dark hair.
Even if Al is "obligated" to look after me, literally taking me to SLEEP WITH HIM ON HIS BED isn't normal. Guys don't do that, NOBODY does anything without wanting something in return. So why?
He then remembered Al smiling down at him, even though he looked tired.
"I...just wanted to make sure you didn't accidentally hurt yourself, Cyrus." He seriously wanted to ask back. "Why? Why do you care so much about me?"
Maybe because Al really likes you.
Cyrus spaced out at the thought. His face grew a bit warm, but it quickly vanished. Because he had to remind himself, Al had likely used those lines on the people he already slept with.
Though somewhere deep inside him, wishes Al was being real that he cares.
(He does, You're just too cynical Cyrus)
------------------------
Al stalks out of the bathroom his amber irises hiding a glint of puffiness, the menacing hard glare he'll use on anyone who asks will shut them up. He can also just let Grim take over and beat people. Al doesn't like people in his pack to know that the past still hurts him. He'd shove his weakest moments in a coffin and gladly burn them.
Because if he let his emotions get the best of him, he'll lose to the trauma. Al can't lose to the pain and guilt, their pack needs their Alpha and leader. He sometimes thinks; 'What if I wasn't born an Alpha or Nightwalker? Would things have turned out differently between me and Selena? Grim answered for him.
She would've lived longer.
The Alpha groans out fingering his wavy hair back, passing through the door he saw a figure at the corner of his eyes. Al spun around standing tall and Cyrus is there, leaning onto the wall. Staring at him---at all of his naked glory. Onyx pupils slowly studying Al's masculine body, Cyrus not once seemed phased or embarrassed he was openly eyeing the blonde boy's strong yet full chest and eight pack abs. They are both males anyway, Cyrus didn't see anything wrong, besides Al must've already seen his naked body. His dark deleting irises kept going further down. Cyrus bit his lower lip hard, his head drew down thinking grimly.
What the hell, does he always do this? Al tells me he was worried I'd fall and possibly hurt myself but he isn't even concerned about what he's doing to his own damn body? I knew it, I was right.
There was another reason why Cyrus didn't punch Al when he woken up.
He noticed the fresh looking bruises and injuries on Al's skin, Cyrus figured it's what the blonde boy has been up to after curfew hours. Picking fights and this school was also home to some of the troubled teenagers like himself.
One trait Al forgot about Cyrus is that his observation skills are superb quality, and the quite boy hears some of The Alpha's muffled sobs and hard breathing in his sleep at night. Cyrus knows how alone it can feel like when you're dealing with depression, most teenagers sought to run away from it, seeing what kind of lifestyle Al had in this room. The blonde boy is well on his way to becoming a dysfunctional, abusive alcoholic that sleeps with any person he could drag here...Or worse.
Al's impulsiveness might trigger him to go either...suicidal or homicidal. He didn't like both scenarios, and Cyrus thought maybe if someone listened to Al. Someone talked to guide him into becoming a better person and leader, maybe he'd change? because Al was the first person to apologise to Cyrus.
Perhaps it's up to Cyrus to return the favour, and help Al change his ways.
"I thought you already left." Al said.
Cyrus felt that if he did, he'd regret it.
I'm not that heartless, to leave you when I had a hunch you're hurting yourself.
Cyrus doesn't answer him, instead he strides forward and stops right before Al. His darkened gaze unreadable, he stares at The Alpha's colossal busted up hand, it's just like his own. Cyrus takes it, turning it over to inspect Al's wrist searching for signs of self harming.
Which there was, Cyrus frowned. He glanced up at Al clearly pissed off, no matter what kind his problems were it's not worth doing this to himself. It won't solve anything, just cause more pain. Cyrus understands, that others get so lost in sadness that they think suicide will free them of suffering but it can't.
Harming yourself, will only lead to the people that care about you to hurt as well, If not more. His fist clenched.
Cyrus knows because he's experienced himself, when his mother took her own life to save his. She didn't have a choice but Al does, Cyrus growled out.
"This won't solve your problems."
It shouldn't be Cyrus's business, what Al does with his body and life though he has been growing nicer and nicer towards him. The least Cyrus could do is talk sincerely with his roommate, so the blonde boy doesn't end up six feet under before his graduation. Al still has so much greater potential and even more things in life to live for.
Suddenly Grim rises forward and uses both Al's arms to push Cyrus against their bed. Pressing himself firmly on the smaller boy, Grim cupped Cyrus's face then drew in closer chuckling. He goes even further by darting out Al's long tongue and licks his tanned skin. Cyrus couldn't move much, because his dominant arm was retrained and his right hand was quickly held back pinned above his head. His struggling didn't get him anywhere; he's cornered now.
Grim could hear Al swearing loudly at him the back of their head, to which The Wolf just dismissed. He leans on Cyrus's ear whispering. "That's cute, you think you have any idea what I feel? What kind of literal hell I've lived through? You don't know me."
Cyrus subconsciously grips tightly at the sheets underneath them, shaking his head. Grim grew excited feeling how easy it was to have his desired ways with this boy, right here right now.
Cyrus kept moving his face away from Al and reminding himself, that this guy wasn't always right in the head.
Shit, Al's bipolar disorder is on.
Knowing there isn't a time when Al's bipolar personality switches, Cyrus has to think fast. The bell had already rang earlier and for sure, everyone in the dorm building had left meaning nobody would hear him if he yelled for help.
Grim then runs Al's other hand inside Cyrus's shirt feeling up his abs. "Aw~ don't be shy on me. What happened to that tough guy demeanor of yours?"
The Wolf smirked while running his lips on Cyrus's locked jawline. When Grim found the young boy's nipple he flicked it harshly, then toyed with it in his fingers. "Like that?" Cyrus gasped out, because nobody had done anything like that to him. He bit his lip aggressively.
GRIM STOP IT! YOU'RE SCARING HIM!
Al tried again to break through Grim.
Panic and adrenaline kicks in, Cyrus lungs at the base of Al's shoulder. He bit with force as The Alpha screams.
"Ah!---ahahaha..." Grim was faking it.
That bite hadn't hurt them, it actually turned them on. Cyrus knew that by the twitching erection on his thigh. Grim goes on running Al's thumb over Cyrus's lips, he bit down quite deeply since there was small traces of blood. Grim grins, pinching it softly trying to slide in his fingers. Grim's golden eyes darkened enjoying his time with him.
"How interesting. What makes you think I won't do anything to you?" The Wolf licks their lips, Grim was very intrigue what answer Cyrus will give.
Cyrus was breathing hoarsely, mouth wide open and brows drawn together.
"I believed your pinky promise."
A foolish and innocent answer, yet it was enough to remind Grim what he's done to Cyrus and distracted him, in order for Al to block Grim mentally.
He tooks his hands off him.
The Alpha immediately hugged Cyrus and cursed himself. "I'm sorry! Cyrus. I didn't---dammit, I wasn't, shit. Shit! I didn't mean to do any of that, I---Ugh!" How would he explain anything now.
Al stood up and covered himself using the blankets, he felt the anger swell in his blood and heart. The Alpha knew what will happen in the next second if he loses control. Al was now trying his hardest to remain as human and not shift into Grim, because he knows it'll be difficult to shift back into a human.
"Please. Get out---NOW!"
Cyrus sat up and looked to the door and back to the troubled blonde boy, he should use this chance to get away.
But part of him; the hopeful one that believes there's good inside people is telling him to stay with Al. Though the fearful one was saying he should go while he still has a chance. However the most deadly curious part of Cyrus wants to see Al in all his unravelling misery.
He couldn't decide.
"I skipped out blueberry pancakes to check on you, I hope you're happy!" Maylin bursts into the room catching both of them by surprise. "The fuck---!"
Click click!
Maylin took a picture of Al and sent it to Shane in their group chat. "Madam Anselme and Alpha Shane have been trying to call you for an emergency meeting, you weren't answering your phone, Al. Rainier is busy, Shane sent me here to see if you were hungover."
The Alpha was about to shout yet she interrupted him again. "It's serious."
"Your grandmother sounded furious. Now that I got proof you're..." Maylin takes another nonchalant glance at Al. "Sober at least, please go to the officer meeting room." She tapped into link.
{Important werewolf matters.}
She turns to Cyrus smiling, then rose an eyebrow spotting him on Al's bed.
Her face blushed, swinging her gaze back at The Alpha. {Or that can wait.}
Grin growled at her.
{Get out! and take Cyrus with you.}
{Yes sir.} She didn't want to push her luck with Al. "Come on Cyrus we're going to be late, I got you a burrito."
Cyrus kicked off the bed, grabbed his book bag with one hand and tossed it over his right shoulder also taking his homework. He was following Maylin out the hallway but looks back at Al.
He was starting at his phone, amber eyes appearing twice stressed for his age. "You don't wanna be late, go on."
-----------------------
The emergency meeting consisted of Al being chewed off by Anselme and the reports she received from Shane.
"Do you know how serious this could affect us? You're fortunate Miranda has real time tracking GPS microchips installed onto your dog tags, Al. We're sending the time period the pregnant Rogue was possibly murdered to the werewolf authorities. If this situation escalates, they will bring the case to the World Werewolf Council." Al tsks.
If her looks could kill, Anselme would have went through the laptop screen and strangled her grandson for not taking this seriously. "They're wasting time, because I didn't kill the bitch or her unborn baby." Anselme frowned at the way Al lacks sympathy and guilt.
Shane could hear his grandmother's wolf growling through the monitor.
"I didn't do anything, if the authorities and council are gonna base this all on my past incident. The massacre and me eating an entire pack of High Rank Rogues before, then they're biased. I'm obviously being framed, by someone who wants revenge on our family."
"Then have fun explaining how your handwriting matches that goddamn message. There's no trances of your DNA found yet, however even I can tell from the victim's bodies, they also match the way our wolves kill. Since I myself trained all of you how to fight."
"Weiler isn't suspected because...?"
"He just woke up, you know the curse causes him to go in a semi comatose."

Author's Note :
If Al hadn't listened to Cyrus when they first meet this would have been the result, but now Cyrus has gotten to know Al he understands that he needs help.
I kinda feel sad for Grim because all Cyrus knows is that Al is a normal human and that he doesn't see Grim just Al.
