CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR

CORONATION DAY.....2MONTHS LATER.

DYLAN'S P.O.V

I don't really know what happened to Damien to change his mind cause he just wanted to retire the Alpha title a little to early than he promised. But mostly is because he wants to spend alot of time with his family and be able to be fully available to protect them since the attacks around the other packs are getting more and more aggressive. But also he says it will help boost my confidence if I claim the title earlier.

Everything is just going very fast than expected, it has only been two months since the return of my mate and the increasement of new members into the pack. Yes new members cause the hunter warriors gladly accepted the offer to stay without much convincing although they are still worried about their families at purity pack.

The brothers also agreed to join us and even started to try dealing with all the mating thing with their mates. Its not like they are already marked like they belong to Forest Hill pack but they did agree to be one of us so they could take down their fathers and make changes to their pack and to become better leaders to their people.

Thankfully Jordan is the best warlock cause he did hide their bond between them and their pack and closed all the mindlink so they wouldn't be able to communicate with their people back home or if their anywhere close enough to be detected by their warriors or fathers. It was a willing decision of course.

I don't really know what will happen to my betas and gammas when it comes a time for them to choose between pack duties and mate. Cause they will have a huge decision to make as Cole, Darius and Levi are the next leaders to their people/kind. Alex can always be free to choose his mate cause I will still have Myron for head of warriors. It sometimes gives me headaches when I think about it.

' Don't beat yourself up. You still have me and Trevor', Luke whines in my head.

' I know'. I sigh as I try to fix my bow tie which am failing miserably. ' The thing is that I have to find another people whom I can trust to give them the tittles'.

'Hey you still have your other brothers remember?'

' For starters they are not our kind. Jordan really wants to be a doctor and not a beta. I don't think if Avery will even think twice because he will have to choose between Matt, Levi and being a beta I don't want to burden him more than he already have in his plate right now'.

' Well my human your doomed'.

' You don't say'. I half whisper to myself.

"I could help you with that". I hear Levi's voice from behind me.

Well for the past few weeks Levi and I have became pretty good friends which is kinda weird but its cool. Still he has not forgiven Trevor yet but I think one day he will understand and forgive him.

" You clean up good". I tell him as he gets closer to where I am. He is wearing a dark maroon tuxedo, black shirt with dark maroon bow tie.

" So do you". He smiles as he ties the tie slowly and steady. " There you go".

I turn to look myself in the mirror approving his skill. " Woow".

" Looking good boys". Trevor enters the room and he hasn't even dressed yet.

" Trevor your not dressed yet and the ceremony is about to begin in half an hour". I ask in a panic tone.

" I went to get you your present, i didn't think it would take this long." He comes and gives me a quick kiss on my cheek. " I'm sorry but I will be fast. I promise".

" You better be". And off he goes into the bathroom.

" Did he say present?" I ask Levi who was standing there awkwardly.

" You didn't get your mate a present on a day like this?" Levi asks in disbelieve.

" I didn't know if there was a present to exchange".

" You are both becoming alphas today and you didn't think to give him something?" He smiles widely. " Your more terrible than Darius".

" Go find Alex for me and tell him that I need a perfect gift for Trevor am sure he will think of something". I order him but before he reached the door. " Tell him to hurry please".

" Sure". Levi replied and walked out.

" We are all gathered here today to witness the new era of a new Alpha, beta and gamma. I know it is not common to have more than one person on those titles but our pack is lucky enough to have that. Gamma is new to us but we have no intention to end it here it will be for generations.

For those who do not know the role of a gamma. A gamma takes responsibilities in the absence of Alpha and Beta. A gamma is link between Beta and head of warriors therefore a gamma can also perform a duty for both parts. Before you take your trouble to beta or Alpha you see a gamma first if it is something a gamma can handle then he/she will do but if not then he/she will have to tell the beta or alpha. During wars or if there is even an indication of war a gamma is being sent to make peace with the other pack no matter how dangerous it might be.

I know we never needed a gamma before but now we do cause our pack is growing every single day and threats are everywhere. To keep our people safe and happy we had to introduce the title and gladly we have the best people in that sector."

Damien's voice is heard through the speakers as he keeps speaking to the pack members, about everything before he gives out the title to me.

We are currently outside the pack house where everyone is neatly dressed and looking amazing. The place is arranged and decorated amazingly too. There are alot of people, I never thought this pack has alot of people before but from what am looking they are plenty of people in this pack. I know we are between 450-500 people but right now I think we are more than that.

I feel sparks running from hand, looking down at it I see Trevor's hand holding mine.

" It's going to be okay". He whispers to my ear then kisses my cheek.

" Thank you". Is all I could say before I kiss his hand and never letting go of his hand.

So I decide to pay attention back to Damien again.

" Now the moment you have been waiting for. I will start to introduce from bellow to above." Damien says as he ushers us all to go at the stage.

" Head of warriors. Myron, Alex and Matt". Damien announces them which they step forward for the crowd to see them. " Ben and Mason will you do the honors of swearing them in"

Ben and Mason also step forward smiling as if they have won a price, or more like Mason is smiling and Ben keeps throwing dagger eyes to Alex. I don't really know why the guy hates him.

" Repeat after us". Mason tell them.

" I.....say your name"Ben instructs.

" I....Alex...Myron...Matt" They say respectively

" Promise to full fill my duty as a pack head warrior". Mason starts.

They repeat.

" To keep this pack safe, strong, reliable and help people in need". Ben adds

They repeat.

" To lay down my life for the sake of the people". Mason smiles.

They repeat.

" And to always be there when needed". Ben smirks but looking directly at Alex. What is his problem?

They repeat.

" So help me moon goddess". Mason and Ben say together.

" So help me moon goddess". They finish.

The pack starts to cheer, whistle and howl in happiness of their new leaders.

" Okay settle down everyone we are not done yet". Damien tries to calm the crowd which they did immediately.

" Next our gammas Maximus and Christopher" Damien calls them forward. Which they do as told. " Since its a new title, I will swear them in myself, now repeat after me".

" I.....say your name". Damien starts

" I....Christopher...Maximus".

" Promise to full fill my duty as a gamma".

They repeat.

" To be present on the absence of the Alpha and Beta"

They repeat

" To be the good connection between the people and the authority"

They repeat.

" To be able to protect the pack by being the good ambassador between treaties, wars or in a brink of war"

They repeat.

" So help me moon goddess". Damien finishes with a smile.

" So help me moon goddess". They finish smiling widely as if they haven't sign on their own death.

The pack starts to cheer again but this time more. I think they know what they have signed for. They are trying to be thankful.

" Next the betas. Nickson and Marcus. Walker will you do the honors". Damien announces again.

Well in the beta section is only Walker. When he met his mate she was already a school teacher and she did not want to take the duties as a female beta cause she prefers children over grown ups problems. So she never became the she beta it was only Walker. But she did give a hand sometimes if it was really necessary at which most of the time it wasn't.

" Okay boys repeat after me". Walker stands straight infront of them. " I ...say your name"

" I .....Nickson....Marcus"

" I promise to full fill my duty as a Beta". Walker smiles.

They repeat.

" To be present on the absence of the Alpha".

They repeat.

" To be responsible of the Alpha's health, whereabouts, plans and most importantly life."

They repeat.

" To be there when he needs me the most"

They repeat.

" To be able to challenge him for sake of the pack if needed".

They both hesitate looking at me. I know challenging an Alpha is suicide but it is usually needed to be done for the sake of the pack. I just nod at them to tell them it is okay to repeat that.

So they repeat.

" To help him to keep the pack safe, strong and most of all happy" Walker smiles at the last part. goddess knows how much they keep their people happy.

They repeat.

" So help me moon goddess" Walker finishes.

" So help me moon goddess". They finish grinning at each other.

Once again the crowd goes wild with happiness.

" Now the moment you have all been waiting for". Damien starts,

But i don't pay any attention to him cause am sweating and I do not know why. They are my people, i grew up here but still I can't shake this horrible feeling that am having right now.

* Don't you dare even thing about ditching me here* Damien warns me through our mindlink, smiling widely as if he did not just threaten me.

* I wasn't* I tell him although it is a total lie. I might even do that.

* You will be great, so stop thinking to much and come here*

* What?* I ask coming back to reality to notice that everyone is staring at me. * You called me already?*

* Yeah like five times* Damien looks at me with a smile. What did I do to deserve a brother like him.

* Take my hand* I hear Trevor's voice through our link. Which I gladly take.

* Thanks* I tell him.

* Anything for you babe, now smile to your people* He says taking another step towards the crowd.

' See you will never be alone our mate will always be here', Luke assures me.

" Just like last time we had two Alphas before the attack happened and killed him", He pauses taking his time before continuing. It is still a sensitive subject to him which he never talks about. " So this is just like that. We are blessed to have two Alphas, who are strong and willingly to give their lives to protect the pack".

He turns to look at us, " Repeat after me. I ....say your name"

" I ...Dylan....Trevor".

" Promise to full fill my duty as an Alpha".

We repeat. Still holding Trevor's hand.

" To be able to put the lives of the pack before my own".

We repeat . Holding his hand even tighter.

" To be able to listen to every member before passing any judgement".

We repeat. I think my palms are sweating too much that I feel his hand is slipping away.

" To protect them from danger at any cost and to do what is right for the sake of the pack".

We repeat. This time Trevor turns to face me and not the crowds.

" To be there in their time of need and leading them in the right path of truth and light"

We repeat . This time I turn to face Trevor instead of the crowds.

" To provide them an heir for the future of the pack".

That is when everything went to quiet mode. We have never discuss about having children yet. I don't even know if Trevor wants kids. Hell we are only nineteen we didn't even think to talk about kids. I do want kids someday, I love kids. Looking at Trevor who is also looking at me with concern. I don't even know what he is thinking, and none of us is opening the mindlink right now.

" To provide them an heir for the future of the pack" Trevor repeats smiling at me.

" Really?" I ask him in shock. " I mean don't say it just for the crowd".

" I am saying it because I mean it. So yes Dylan we will have kids as many as we want".

I just look at him amused. " I love you, you know that".

" I know and I love you". He says with almost teary eyes.

Before we could even think of kissing, Damien clears his throat to get our attention.

* Its not a wedding. Now let us finish this before you do something unpleasing infront of all these innocent people*. Damien mindlinks me.

" To provide them an heir for the future of the pack". I say without looking away from Trevor's green eyes.

" So help me moon goddess".

" So help me moon goddess". We finalize.

" Here standing infront of you, presenting to you your new Alphas" Damien says proudly.

At which the crowd erupts with happiness that I have never thought they have.

I am an Alpha now.

The leader of all this people.

The one responsible for their lives.

To be their hero.

So help me moon goddess.
