Filthy Savage: Chapter 47
Filthy Savage: An Irish Mafia Age Gap Single Mom Romance (Savage Kings Book 3)
âNow, now. Donât get your panties in a twist, Mom.â I laugh.
My fatherâs nostrils twitchâso much anger for one tiny man.
But I get it. Theyâre pissed. Iâve had their precious daughter for the past several years while they cried themselves to sleep every night, thinking about what happened to her when she was two.
She was taken from the hospital the day I came into their life.
ME! The daughter whoâs always been here. Always begging for an ounce of love.
But they saved it all for her. The favorite daughter. Even her nursery still looks the same as it did the day she vanished.
âHow could you not tell us you found her?!â my father shouts. âThat she worked for our hotel? We wouldâve done anything to be reunited with her!â
âYikes, Dad. Donât give yourself a heart attack.â
My mother slaps me hard across my face, shaking her head at me in disgust as tears continue to fall. âWhat is wrong with you?! Sheâs your sister! Our daughter! Donât you care? Donât you love her?â
âLove?â I grit. âYou wanna talk about LOVE?!â I get into her face. âWhere was your love for ME?! The daughter who was alive and well? The daughter who was by your side all these years, begging for a tiny piece of this so-called love you like to throw around! Where was that, huh, Mom?â I grind my teeth, unable to hold back at the hypocrisy. âIâll tell you where: it was with her! Instead of focusing on the daughter you have, you saved all your love for the daughter who was dead. I shouldâve been enough! Me! But I never was.â
âSheâs not dead.â My fatherâs icy glare hits me and I barely feel it.
I return with a thunderous look. âThatâs what you have to say after I just spilled my heart out to you? Figures.â My upper lip curls. âYou donât deserve her. And after today, you wonât have her at all.â
âWhat the hell does that mean?â Momâs eyes flare.
Before she can wonder, I remove the taser Julius got me and zap my father first before I zap her too, striking both of them hard on the head until they groan. Removing a pair of zip ties, I tie my fatherâs hands behind his back, tazing him again before I bind my motherâs arms too.
I wait for them to both come to, standing above them and staring with a smug look.
Itâs finally happening. Iâll finally take her away from them for good.
âNow you both stay here and think about what youâve done, and once your angel daughter is gone, we can all finally be happy.â
âWait!â Mom calls. âPlease, sweetheart, whatever youâre planning, donât do it! We can all be happy together. I promise!â
I let out a snort. âOh, Mother, you had your chance with me, and you blew it. But donât you worry. Iâll make sure she dies quickly.â
âStop!â Dad hollers. âWe love you, baby, please!â
âHush. I have places to be.â
And a brat to pick up from preschool.
I drag the fake ID out of my wallet. It pays to have friends who know how to hack a schoolâs computer system and add Grandma to the pick-up list.
Now letâs hope the school doesnât make me take my sunglasses off.
âPlease, Lilith!â Amara begs, and I almost feel something.
Almost. But itâs not enough.
âIâll do whatever you want,â she cries. âDonât kill me and my babies.â
Oh, right. Sheâs pregnant. I almost forgot. Thatâs too bad.
âYou can save your tears, dear sister. Theyâre a damn waste.â
âI love you, Lilith. Please! If you tell me how to fix this, I will! We can be a family! I wanted one for so long! You know I did.â
I blow out an exhausted sigh. âThatâll never happen. You ruined my life!â
She jerks back from my shouting. âHow?â
âEvery single day youâve been alive, every day they looked for you and swore theyâd find you, was a day that I lived in the shadows.â I get to my feet. âAnd when youâre gone, weâll all finally be happy. Iâll give them the closure theyâve always needed.â My mouth curls. âIâll give them your death.â
She sobs, unable to control her pathetic emotions. âWhen did you know? When did you find out weâre sisters?â
âOh, I knew before I inserted myself into Emilyâs life. Became her instant BFF just so I could get to you.â
My grin is smug, and why wouldnât it be? None of them knew shit! I deserve an Oscar.
âI took an ancestry test online, and surprise, we matched.â
âOh my God. Youâreâ¦youâre GS!â
âDing, ding.â
âIâI messaged you! I thought maybe you were my dadâs child or something, but you never wrote back.â
I snicker. âOf course not. I couldnât tell you I discovered who you were. And when I followed you to Juliusâs house, I put it all together. Because our parents always suspected someone who worked in the hospital took you. Then I discovered Juliusâs dad worked as security there when I was born, and voila! I had the story.â
âBut my mother never wanted me,â she whispers. âI donât understand.â
I shrug. âDonât know what to tell you, sis, but thatâs what happened. He took you.â
She starts to cry again. My God, sheâs pitiful. What did my parents ever see in her?
âWhy Julius? Why did he want me dead?â She pants. âWhat did I do to him?â
âOh, that. Well, his father had a change of heart or something. Wanted to add you to the will. And Julius being Julius, he wanted to prevent that from happening.â
âOh my God,â she whispers as I continue.
âHe told me his father wouldnât hear it, and after he failed to convince him not to give you any money, Julius decided you had to die. Isnât he a peach?â
She studies my face through her grief, like sheâs seeing me for the first time, and I hope she likes what she sees, because Iâm damn amazing.
âIf you ask me, I think his dad just wanted to play nice with you so you wouldnât go digging.â
She cries.
Aww, she actually looks sad. How cute.
Flipping my hair back, I continue with the story. âAfter I followed you to the restaurant where you met him, we struck up a conversation. He didnât exactly know I was your sister.â My grin grows. âI told him you were my crazy friend, trying to come between my family and me, and he bought it. I donât think he cared what the reason was. He just wanted a partner.â
âHow could I have been so blind?â she whispers.
âThere, there. We played you well. Donât fret too much, sis. No one can blame you.â
âPlease, I need to see Fia. Sheâs probably so scared.â Big tears drip down her cheeks.
âDonât worry. Fia will be home soon. I already texted Lena to leave her at the local hospital. I would never hurt our girl.â
She shudders, eyes puffy from all that crying. âYou donât have to do this. Please just let me go.â
âNo can do. Iâm afraid this is where your story ends and mine begins.â I lift my gun in the air.
Pop.
Amaraâs eyes widen.
Blood leaks down into my eyes, and when I touch my foreheadâ¦
Is that my blood?
Well, this didnât go as planned. Of course, she always ruins everything.
