Chapter fifty four

“You should get something to eat,” He said.

“Why did you do that?” I asked.

“Because I knew you wanted it as much as I do. I made my promise Raina and I made sure to keep it” He answered reminding me of the promise he made about not kissing me until he was sure that was what I wanted. My cheeks were still tainted a red from my embarrassment.

“I think I should go” I stood up from the floor so I could leave this room. Lucian stopped me and pulled me back standing up.

“If you don't want me to do that anymore I won't” Oh shit! Not now. I really did want to kiss him again but I just felt really weird about the whole situation. I did the want to get very vulnerable with him because I was scared of anything. What if things don't work out like we both wanted or even expected.

“You shouldn't let your mind scare you like I said I_” I cut him off shaking my head left to right. Instead of saying something like I had intended I raised my hands and wrapped them around his neck before placing my lips on his to kiss him again. Lost in the feel of my hands in his black-brown hair and his hands on my face I stomach did not agree with this. I chuckled pulling away from him with a shy smile.

“I think you really to eat. Let's go” He pulled my arm and held it as we both left the room which I didn't know what to even call. Instead of going to the room, Lucian was taking us downstairs.

“I can't walk all the way down” I stopped right before the staircase. He walked back to where I stood and turned his back to me.

“Get on” He instructed.

“What?” I was shocked that he wanted me to get on his back.

“You heard me right darling” He laughed at my reaction. Ignore his laugh I got on his back and he walked down the stairs. When he got to the kitchen he dropped me on the counter.

“What do you want to eat?” He asked. I touched my chin looking up like I was thinking which I wasn't.

“Uhm_ I don't know” I finally confessed.

“Why don't you let me make you something I make really well” He smiled.

“And what might that be?” I was curious to see what he could cook.

“Watch but in the meantime eat this” He walked to the pots lined up picking something from one of them. I could not see because his body was covering it. He walked back to me and dropped a bowl of meat.

“I doubt I will be able to eat anything after this,” I told him sincerely because I was genuinely interested in tasting what he wanted to make.

“You’ve not taken anything today” He argued.

“I know but this is a lot more than I can eat,” I said defeated.

“How much do you eat when you go hunting?” He asked. I stared at him for seconds deciding to say the truth I answered him.

“I wouldn't know”

“What do you mean you_ wait! You've never gone hunting” He said loudly when he realised what I meant by that.

“Yes” I nodded

“You need some rest before I can do that with you,” He said to me making his way back to the cooker. I looked at him as he brought out items he wanted to us.

“Don’t look Raina” He warned. I laughed.

“I wasn't looking” I defended.

“I can feel your stare” He reminded me. I rolled my eyes at him for being dramatic.

“Whatever” I mumbled stuffing my mouth with the meat he gave to me. I made sure not to eat a lot from it because I was genuinely curious about what he wanted to make that he felt so confident about his skills in the kitchen.

“I haven't seen you all morning” I turned back only to see Ri standing exactly behind me making me jump. I screamed.

“Shit! I didn't know you were behind me” She laughed at me.

“You heard my voice” She reasoned.

“Yes, but I didn't think you were this close” I replied with a fake frown.

“You know Rietta you shouldn't go about scaring people like that” Lucian complained still not looking back at us.

“What are you doing?!” She sounded horrified as she made her way to Lucian.

“Hey! I don't need you here” He grumbled.

“You clearly do” Ri laughed pushing him out of the way making him fall on the ground. I could not help but laugh at him with a frown on his face.

“All done” She announced after she placed whatever it was Lucian was trying to keep in the oven.

“I still could have done that myself” He stood up.

“I should help you” I jumped down from the counter walking towards him.

“Can you girls leave so I can do this without any interruptions?” He asked not happy with the idea of both of us staying in the kitchen with him.

“You wanted me here. Remember”

“Not anymore. I will let you know when I'm done. Take Rietta with you” He announced when I started walking out.

“It seems we are not wanted here”

“Let’s go somewhere else” I pulled Ri out. We barely got to the stairs when Lucian stopped us.

“Don’t tell me you have a change of heart because we won't accept your apology” I informed him.

“You wish. You forgot this” I frowned.

“Really!? I can't eat all of this” I complained taking the bowl from him.

“You barely took five. Try to eat a little more but if you can't it's fine, I wouldn't want to force you”

“Thanks” With that Ri and I made it to her room.

Ri and I have been talking about very random things for almost an hour now. We were almost done with the meat Lucian gave me. Rip ate most of it though. I heard a knock on her door leaving me confused. I was sure it was not Lucian because he wouldn't knock that gently.

“Come in” Ri gave the person permission to come inside her room. I had a puzzled look on my face. Did she let someone in her room without knowing who it was?

“Raina” I turned at the voice of Lucy. Shit! I forgot.

“I’m so sorry. It skipped my mind. I had training with Lucian and I just finished” I rushed. Lucy gave a tight smile.

“It’s completely okay. Tomorrow?” She asked.

“Of course. First thing after breakfast” I agreed immediately to meet with her tomorrow. I shouldn't be the one forgetting. I need her help.

“Ok. Bye Raina. Bye Ri” Lucy giggled at this and I knew she was laughing at my nickname she considered horrible.

“Bye,” Both Ri and I said. Immediately Lucy closed the door and left Ri started questioning me.

“When did you two become friends? What does she want to see you for?”

“One question at a time” I laughed. She didn't think that was funny.

“Wait! Don't you like that we are friends now?” I questioned utterly confused at the sudden change in mood.

“Of course! I was just surprised” her voice was rather too itchy and her laugh fake. What's up with her?

“Is there something I should know?” I asked

“No” I could tell she was lying but I didn't know what else to say to her to convince her to talk to me. I knew she wouldn't say anything if she didn't want to. I was like that too.

“Ok” I simply replied.

We started talking again and to my surprise, it was like nothing happened. Like she didn't just act weirdly when she found out Lucy and I started talking already. Wasn't she the one telling me that I needed to try with Lucy that she was actually a very nice person?

“Where is the room?” I asked when my mind drifted to her art room.

“What room Raina?”

“The are room. I don't see the entrance” I told her. She stood up and walked towards a blue painting hanging on the wall. She did some kind of code on painting and it opened. The painting was like the door to the room.

“Wow. I see why I didn't see it the first him”

“Yeah. I like to keep my paintings really private” She Informed me.

“I understand,” I told her truly.

“Coming in!” Lucian screamed. Rip hurriedly pushed me out and closed the door. I gave her a questioning look which she ignored.

“This is for you, to keep you out,” Lucian said to Lucian placing a tray of covered food for her. Rip frowned at her brother.

“I don't disturb you two” She defended.

“Just, please stay in your room” Lucian begged.

“Fine. Your food better is worth it” She warned. I laughed at this.

“It is, I promise” She helped me out of the room.

“What did you make?” I asked on our way down.

“Warning, it's not something very_”

“I don't care Lucian” I laughed when I noticed he wanted to make excuses before I even saw what he made.

“Don’t say I don't warn you” He carried me once we entered the kitchen and left me on the counter. He went then came back with a tray. He played the tray carefully beside me. He opened it and I laughed.

“Are you serious Lucian? It's not something so simple” I encouraged him taking the chicken he roasted from the plate. I took a bite and I could see that he was waiting for me to say something.

“You did good” I informed him taking another bite. Lucian looked so content with himself.

“What’s in there” I pointed to the covered plate. He opened that took revealing the chips he fried.

“Thank you, for this and everything,” I said softly to him. He pulled me closer to the edge so I had to wrap my legs around him so I could be comfortable with the new position. He held my waist as I ate.

“Have a taste” I brought the chicken to his mouth which he took.

“Hmmm, I'm such a good cook” We both laughed at this.

“Yes, you are” I started “trying” I quickly added.

“I’ll cook better meals. Just watch” He said.

“I’ll be here to see you make the first of every meal you make” I promised.

“That’s a promise” He smiled.

“It’s a promise” I assured him.

“I know you won't take dinner after this so I was wondering_”

“Isn’t this dinner?” I asked laughing baffled that he didn't consider this late afternoon food dinner.

“It is” He agreed with me. He said that not to argue with me.

“You were wondering?” I asked remembering he wanted to say something before I cut in.

“I was wondering if you wanted to watch something together. I promised to help you watch as many movies as I could to make up for all the years you lost” He reminded me. I remember the first time which was two weeks ago when I went into heat.

“Sure let me get water then we can leave” He held my laps in place stopping me.

“I’ll get it” The way I've been smiling and blushing lately makes my cheeks hurt. It was something I didn't want to stop at all. He came back with a cup of water and another bottle. I took the cup of water and another glass from the bottle.

“Thank you,” I said dropping the cup beside me, the other side from where the food was.

“Anytime” He smiled.

It took all courage in me to lower my head and make the face move to kiss him again but I did it, I kissed Lucian. He did not hesitate to kiss me back. I placed my hands on both my sides. I moved closer to deepen the kiss when I accidentally hit the cup making this fall to the floor making a crash noise. I jumped at the sudden sound moving away from Lucian who was laughing at our clumsiness.

“I will take care of it,” He said moving away from me. I nodded taking the empty plate to clean. I'm no time we were both done.

“Ready to ditch everyone for the rest of the day?” He asked. I nodded smiling.

“Yes”

“Good because I can't wait” We left for his room which he actually carried me up the stairs. I fail to believe he walks like that every single day.

Lucian set the bed while I took a shower. I changed into one of his shirts while he went to shower too when I finished. We were now both lying on the bed deciding what movie we both wanted to watch.

“I’m fine with anything,” I told him. He nodded before picking a movie I didn't even know the title to.

With my head resting on his chest Lucian turned to give me yet another kiss of the day. I knew at this moment that I would never get tired of his kisses.
