Chapter 47

Piyu and Rads sat in the living room of Rads house talking to each other. Rads kept teasing Piyu about Sameer and Piyu kept blushing.

They both wondered what is taking Jai so long to come to Rads house. They have planned this meeting at Rads house to break the news about Meera to Jai. Shrugging they kept talking to each other.

Hearing Car's halt sound, they both looked at the entrance to see a fuming Jai stroding into the house. They both looked at him wide eyed.

He walked towards them and flopped himself on the sofa angrily. He didn't utter a word but just leaned back his head on the sofa closing his eyes to control his anger.

" Jai...." Piyu called him but he didn't respond as he doesn't want them to be the target of his anger.

Piyu looked at Rads sighing at Jai. Rads bit her lip and leaned forward to have a better look at Jai's face. He was breathing heavily and his face is red with anger.

Rads lifted her hand slowly and poked him on his arm cautiously but when she didn't get any reaction from him, she started poking again and this time a little harder. They wondered if he had slept.

Seeing this Piyu looked at her crazy friend with wide eyes and shook her head at her telling her to stop whatever she is doing. Rads is having fun doing that so she ignored Piyu and again poked him.

Feeling something poking Jai stirred a little scrunching his face. His thoughts and anger are clouding his mind right now. Rads giggled silently and again poked him hardly with excitement.

Jai who is getting disturbed by continuous poking got frustrated and slapped the arm hard that is poking him. He sat up startled hearing a loud shriek of pain. Rads sat there rubbing her arm glaring at Jai.

" What happened?" He asked her confused.

" You slapped me you idiot!" Rads said exasperated still rubbing her arm.

" No, I slapped the mosquito away." He said thinking.

" No stupid, You had hit my arm..... that too pretty hard." Rads whined showing him the red spot on her skin.

" No I had hit a mosquito that was continously poking me." Jai argued and Piyu laughed loudly hearing that.

" It was me you stupid." Rads glared at him.

" What? Something was poking me and I thought it was a mosquito, so I had hit it." He said paused thinking.

" Wait! So it was you that's continously poking me? " Jai asked angrily.

" Umm.....Yeah.....Which idiot thinks that a mosquito can poke? Mosquito bites." Rads says and laughs.

All the while Piyu just stares at them with amusement.

" Why were you poking me?" Jai asked her blankly.

" Obviously to wake you up. You didn't come to my house to sleep you know." Rads says with sarcasm.

" I wasn't sleeping and I am glad that I slapped you." Jai smirked at her which made her glare at him.

" Enough of your arguments now." Piyu said sternly and both of them went quiet.

" Good. Now Jai say why were you so angry when you came inside." Piyu asked concerned.

" I had an argument with my family. They still want me to marry that girl from weird family. I had explained them why I can't but they were angry on me for rejecting such a traditional and conservative family." Jai explained them and sighed.

" Oh no! So you fought with them? " Piyu asked worried.

" Yeah, we had an argument and I stormed out of the house angrily and came here directly." Jai said rubbing his forehead.

" Wow! We feel so lucky." Rads said in sarcastic tone which made him glare at her.

" So what are you going to do now?" Piyu asked concerned.

" I told them my decision that I will not marry the girl they choose for me." Jai said proudly.

" Then whom will you marry? " Rads smirked raising her eyebrows.

Jai opened his mouth to retort back but no words came out. He thought about it and understood that he himself doesn't know what he wants. His mind went to Meera immediately while thinking whom he wants to marry.

He looked at Piyu and Rads who sat there with blank faces.

" I don't know." He mumbled looking down.

Rads and Piyu looked at him with pity and they both looked at each other. Rads sighed Piyu at her phone to do what they had planned earlier. Piyu nodded and took her phone to text Sam.

Sammy Call me now and execute the plan we discussed yesterday.

She got an instant reply saying.........

Ok!

After 5 minutes Piyu got the call from Sameer grabbing the attention of both Rads and Jai.

" It's Sam!" Piyu said excitingly and answered the call.

" HelloPiyu." They heard from phone.

" Hi!" Piyu and Rads yelled excitedly.

" You both are happy to talk to me I see." Sam chuckled making Jai smile.

" Yes! We miss you!" Both Piyu and Rads said at the same time.

" I miss you all too." Sam said smiling.

" OK what do we owe the pleasure of you calling us today?" Rads asked smirking.

" Hey! We talked yesterday also." Sam reminded her.

Jai looked at her with raised brows making her laugh nervously.

" No! You didn't talk to me at all. You talked to Piyu all the time and when you talked to me, all you talked was  about Piyu." Rads said rolling her eyes.

Piyu blushed making Jai and Rads smirk at her.

" Awee.... Is little Sameer blushing?" Rads cooed at the phone when the other side went silent.

" No! " He exclaimed quickly making her laugh loudly.

" All you talked was..... 'Piyu first wash your hand and dab the cut with cotton and apply the antiseptic cream. Rads you make sure that bleeding stops and put a band aid on her cut'." Rads mocked his exact words from yesterday.

" Hey! I was worried ok. She cut herself when she was talking to me on the phone." Sam defended himself.

" Yeah yeah..... "

" That reminds me, Piyu how is your finger? Is it paining? If it's still paining go to the doctor okay." Sam ranted.

" Sammy it's just a small cut and no its not paining as it healed yesterday itself." Piyu said and showed her small cut to Jai who looked concerned at her.

" Oh Good. Make sure the cut is covered all the time otherwise it may get infected." Sam said concerned.

" Ok." Piyu smiled at his concern.

" OK ok enough love birds..... I think Sam you forgot the purpose of you calling us." Rads reminded him the plan.

Piyu blushed again.

" Oh! Yeah yeah, you totally made me forget Rads with your talks." Sam huffed.

" What? You were busy worrying about the small cut of Piyu not me you idiot." Rads shouted at the phone making Piyu smile and Jai chuckle.

" So? What do you want to talk about?" Piyu asked coming to the topic.

" Yeah, Umm......guys, actually Jiju called me and said that he will not be  coming to India anytime soon. So I asked him why and he said that their family had found potential groom for his sister. And so he will be busy and told me to visit Di and Angel more to make sure they don't feel alone." Sam said on the phone.

" Wait! Your Jiju's sister means..... " Rads trailed off looking concerned at Jai who looked confused at her.

" Meera! " Piyu exclaimed.

Jai's eyes widened with shock. He never for once thought that it was Meera. He knows that she was Sameer's Jiju's sister but it slipped out of his mind.

Many thoughts were revolving in his mind.......They had found a potential groom for Meera and it means she is getting married! What? I can't believe this!

He was too shocked to respond anything.

" But I thought she is not one of the girls who agrees to get married so soon that too.....an arranged marriage." Rads said looking at Jai who snapped his head towards the phone now.

" Yeah I too thought that. But she had changed a lot in past few months. Maybe loving Jai had taught her a lot in her life. She is not the person who takes rejection so lightly as she gets what she wants every time. Maybe that's the reason but I also feel that's not the only reason." Sam explained and whole time Jai was looking down with regret and sorrow.

" What do you mean?" Piyu whispered.

" I think she is trying to move on in her life and forget the past." Sam said sighing.

Three of them went silent. Jai shut his eyes painfully remembering how he had hurted her while Rads and Piyu watched him with concern.

" How can you say that she wants to move on?" Rads asked him.

" Yeah..... Her family must have been forcing her to agree." Piyu added.

And Jai looked at phone for response with hopeful eyes.

" No, not at all. Their family is cool and wouldn't force their daughter to do something against her will. Infact Jiju said when they got the proposal  it's her will to marry that guy or not and she can choose that after meeting the guy. But the most shocking thing is Meera agreed willingly to meet the guy. It's a total shock for them too." Sameer explained.

All the colour drained from Jai's face. He was shocked and just there staring at the wall in front of him. He couldn't believe what he just heard.

Meera agreed to meet the guy who is chosen by her family.

She wants to get married!

She wants to forget him.

She wants to move on.

If she likes that guy then she will be married to that guy.

She will be married to someone else.

That thought itself made his blood boil. He can't even imagine her with some one else in his dreams also. He suddenly starting to hate that guy whom he doesn't even know or never met.

But it's my fault.

I pushed her away.

I hurted her so much.

I treated her so badly.

I breaked her heart.

She apologized me.

She pleaded me.

She even begged me.

And what I did?

I just pushed her away.

I deserve this pain.

I realize now how much pain she had suffered.

But imagining her with another man......

" No! This cannot be true. She can't do this." Jai shouted.

Three of them got startled with his outburst.

" Why not?" Rads said sternly.

" Because she loved me." Jai shouted again.

" And you rejected her." Piyu said pointedly with a glare.

" Yeah..... But what I did, it was because my family would never accept her." Jai yelled.

" Why?" they both shouted at him now.

" You guys saw right which girl they have selected for me. They like such conservative girls and traditional families. They wouldn't approve Meera, wouldn't approve her classy modern dressing, her unique style, her straight forward outspoken nature, her amazing attitude, her anger where she goes all red, her sarcasm which makes her cute, her wittiness which makes others laugh, her beautiful loud laugh and her adorable face when she embarrasses herself." Jai said everything in one breath.

Rads and Piyu started at him with wide eyes and open mouths while Sam also was stunned and went silent.

Jai was panting & catching his breath and looked at them. Three of them stayed silent just staring at each other for sometime.

" You Love her."

Rads, Piyu and Sam said together at the same time after the staring contest.

Jai blinked his eyes at them.

" YOU LOVE Her." Rads and Piyu yelled and jumped up and down excitingly grinning like idiots.

" W. What n.no.....?" Jai stuttered.

" Yes!" All three of them said at the same time.

" No..... It's just..... I like her..... as a friend....." Jai stopped saying when two angry glares were thrown at him.

" Just admit Jai..... Atleast now that you love her." Rads warned him.

" But....."

"Jai!" Piyu warned him.

" Seriously Jai, no man notices such things in a girl which you said earlier if he doesn't love her." Sam said warmly which made Jai think.

He thought about Meera and the time he spent with her. All the fun time and all the memories with her made him smile automatically. Then the realization hit him..... Pretty hard.

He loves her.

He loved her but he didn't know that it was love.

When Rads and Piyu saw the realization dawned on his face, a big fat grin was spread across their faces.

" Oh my God! I Love Meera." Jai squealed.

Three of them laughed at him.

" You sound like a girl who has a crush on a boy." Rads said and laughed loudly.

" Shut up." He said and looked down embarrassed.

" So what we should do now?" Piyu asked tensed.

" There is nothing we can do. Only this idiot who is standing here dumbly can do something." Rads said sternly pointing at Jai who stood there like a kid who doesn't know the answer of a math question.

" Jai I have an idea! " Sam shouted through phone.

" WHAT? "

Three of them yelled looking at the phone curiously.

" Meera is meeting the guy next week." Sam informed.

" Tell me the idea Sam." Jai said annoyed listening that Meera is meeting that stupid guy so soon. He wants idea.

Sam felt happy that Jai was talking to him normally.

" Ok ok..... So guess where is she meeting?" Sam said smiling.

" Where? " All three of them asked him desperately.

" India." Sam said.

" What?"

" Wait! In India?"

" So she is coming to India next week?"

All three of them shot the questions back to back.

" Yes! " Sam said chuckling.

" So what we should do? " Again all three of them asked him curiously.

" I think you people know what to do." Sam said in mischievous tone.

All the three of them grinned at each other mischievously.
