Forced To Marry The King

I woke up in Alexander's arms and blushed a new shade of red remembering the events that happened between us. I slowly got up and put my clothes on. I sat down at the vanity and fixed my hair and make up.

"My dear, what do you think your doing?" I heard and in the mirror I saw Alexander laying up in the bed smirking at me.

"I'm only fixing my hair and make up. You have your meetings to get to as well," I said reminding Alexander of his kingly duties.

"Fine, but when I get back I expect you to be here," he says and begins to get ready.

"But what if..." I began but was cut off.

"No," he said and left.

My maids came in to help me get ready for dinner when Bethany came in.

"Elise, I love you so, so much," she said and was nearly hopping up and down from excitement.

"I am staying here, my brother isn't kicking me out," she said happily.

"Bethany, there is more to it. What I do was compromise with Alexander, that meant giving in to some of his demands and him yours," I explained dismissing my maids.

"What do you mean?" She asked harshly. She went from happy to furious in a split second.

"Alexander will choose your suitor, you'll marry and keep all titles and wealth you have," I explained.

"But I'm a princess, I must marry a king!" She whined.

"Bethany, you cannot marry a king. I was able to make sure you keep your wealth and titles, isn't that enough?" I said and all she did was give me a look of disgust.

I ensured her titles and wealth, with a husband. Alexander will find her a husband, probably not a prince and definitely not a king but perhaps a lord or duke. Would she rather live on the streets with no money or title?

"I deserve a king. I mean look at you compared to me," she whined and stomped her foot.

"Bethany, I suggest you don't take this for granted. This is your last chance," I said.

She threw her hands down on the vanity and pushed/threw all of the items on the ground. Glass, brushes, and jewelry covered the floor all broken. I took a step back and gave her space.

3 guards bursted into the room, all armed.

"Your majesty, we heard a crash," the middle guard said as he watched Bethany, as if he was ready to attack. Surely they wouldn't hurt her, right?

"It's alright, please escort the princess back to her room," I said and gestured for them to put their weapons away.

"Of course, my lady," he said and went behind Bethany to move her out of the room.

"NO NO NO NO NO NO!" She screamed and dragged her feet along the floor, kicking and screaming.

I watched as she glides her hand along the floor to pick up a glass shard from one of the many broken bottles. Before I knew it, she plunged it into the guards neck.

One of the other guards ripped it out of her hand and tackled her to the ground. The other guard stood by me to protect me in case she escaped the guards hold.

A few other guards came in and were told to escort Bethany out. 2 guards escorted me to the throne room for protection, also due to the dead body, blood, and broken glass covering the floor in my room.

Alexander is not going to be happy.
